NAGISA HAS ALWAYS FELT THE NEED TO PUT 10X MORE ENTHUSIASM AND WORK INTO EVERYTHING HE DOES BECAUSE HE’S NOT “SPECIAL” - HE’S NOT ESPECIALLY TALL OR FAST OR STRONG OR SMART, HIS ENERGY AND ENTHUSIASM IS ALL HE HAS - SO IF HE DOESN’T KEEP WORKING HARD, HE’LL FEEL LIKE HE HAS NOTHING LEFT TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM.

now, especially considering that he has older sisters who “treat him like he’s a toy”, and also that Haru and Makoto are now 3rd years and this is their last chance to make it to nationals, NAGISA IS PROBABLY SCARED TO DEATH OF BECOMING USELESS. AND THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN IF THIS SEASON IS GOING WHERE IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S GOING.
