good morning and happy friday, everyone!! we have made it through the week and i am proud of you for doing so! i will be visiting friends this weekend so i will not be around much ahhh so i hope you all will do something enjoyable for yourselves and get to relax <3

assassin!au with kinich in which the reader is one of many children of a famous assassin family. the children are assigned a major arcana as they are born as a symbol of their membership into the family, as their father is rather detached from most of them and will not use their names as a form of address.

reader is considered a black sheep of the family as the child of an affair, and her siblings range from indifferent to her presence to outright hostile. considered a nobody, she is assigned "the fool".

each child of the family has an acolyte as well, a chosen aide who acts as their partner in assassination. poorer families send their children to train in hopes to be picked. choosing a good, talented acolyte is as important as training one's own assassination skill.

except no one wants to be reader's acolyte. it's supposed to be considered a great privilege to be chosen by the family, but even the trainees turn their noses up at the forgotten daughter of the family.

until a battered, stick-thin orphan kinich crawls over the fence of your family's estate. you save him that day, not thinking much of it, and he pledges his life to you in return.

years later, the family head announces that he is ready to choose his next successor. and you want it to be you, despite how everyone looks down upon you, despite how your siblings sneer and scoff at your presence.

little do you know, kinich is ready too. he's trained steadily as he grew, and the act of assassination feels natural to him now.

so he'll follow you, and he'll do what he must. even if that means cutting down every single person in your way.
