I like the idea of Eggman trolling G.U.N online by constantly replying to their tweets or whatever with stuff like “op killed my grandpa but go off I guess.” He ends up making a bot to do it for him, but it also collects amusing replies for him to read.

Given how popular of a misconception it is, it’d be funny in a meta way if there was a story where Eggman tricked someone/everyone by convincing them that he does all his evil crimes in the name of avenging Gerald, despite it being incredibly obvious that he only does shit for himself.

You just made me discover the Pooh’s Adventures movies. And now part 1 of Winnie the Pooh meets Crash Bandicoot already had me break out laughing.

With all these recent movies boasting gratuitous, shoehorned, downright baffling multiplayer crossovers that serve no apparent purpose other than to dangle keys in front of its audience (Ralph Breaks the Internet, Ready Player One, and now Space Jam 2), I’m starting to think someone in the industry really wants to make a Pooh’s Adventures movie.

Shit, they should get me to make it. All you’d need to do is slap shit together regardless of cohesion. I’ve got the qualifications for that, right?

The vast majority of non-canon ships are M/M because the vast majority of shippers and fanwriters are straight women who like dick, it’s no more complex than that. It’s got nothing to do with “representation” or “LGBT themes”, it’s women writing porn (or fluffy romance) for women because straight women get off on male bodies and penises. This is also why F/F ships are so rare, because lesbians are a far smaller group than straight women and men don’t generally write fanfic. And it really irks me that so few other women out there have the spines to just outright own up to it, especially when so many of them claim to be feminists.

I love the irony of Elsa having ice powers and being a tier lower than Axel, while also being his absolute worst match up. Okay fine, so Namine destroys him better, but Namine destroys everyone, any sense of shame from losing to her has long since evaporated. Still can’t like Elsa too much when she’s one of the reasons my boy Roxas is only midtier instead of the hightier he deserves.

To expand on what kicked this all off, a Super Smash Bros Melee tournament got hit with a DMCA because they used this stuff that gave it high quality online multiplayer (connection wise). Which you know, with what’s going on they kind of had to do in order to keep playing. And it’s not like Melee has any official Nintendo made online they could have used instead.

Following this some people came forward and detailed a long history of Nintendo dangling official recognition for the comp community over their head but never followed through, and basically screwed them over whenever possible. Most was detailed via an anonymous post but people with cred have backed it up.

Also for the Splatoon thing it’s the Splatoon community deciding to show their solidarity with the Smash community, since they’re also frustrated with how Nintendo treated them.

I know Sonic Riders has developed a small competitive community so I hope if Sega ever notices them they handle it better than Nintendo. Though their mods to the game might cause issues.

People who whenever there’s a post about how ‘it’s annoying how much fandom is focused on shipping’ or ‘it’d be nice if people would look at characters through a lens other than shipping’ come in and comment things like 'let people ship if they want’ or 'if you want platonic stuff make your own content’ and other stuff along those lines. No one is telling people they can’t ship stuff at all, no one is sitting around going 'boy it’s a pity no one makes non-shipping content, I certainly can’t do it myself’ that is not the problem! The problem is that people refuse to separate the characters from the ships and refuse to leave no shippy content alone and not try to make it shippy. People twist a character’s personality to make their whole existence revolve around the person they’re shipped with and then throw a fit when people point out how OOC they’ve made the character. When someone makes a meta post about a character it’s usually heavily ship-related or someone in the tags tries to make it ship related. When someone makes an edit or draws something, even when it’s clearly labeled as platonic/brotp/found family, people reblog it and tag it as a ship. The same frequently happens with text posts, and while it’s with less frequency, there are plenty of platonic fanfics out there with comments on them how 'the characters are in love, their relationship isn’t platonic’. People ship characters who are family, whether blood-related, adopted or family by choice because fandoms are so obsessed with shipping that they just can’t comprehend people being close and caring about each other or being affectionate without them being in love. People try and create servers for just platonic relationships and people will join and then whine when they’re not allowed to talk about their ships there because for all they frequently say 'well make your own space to talk about it’ if people complain about the lack of spaces for platonic content, when people do they don’t respect the existence of such a space. On the very rare occasions that there’s a canon aro, ace or aroace character, people insist on writing ships with them or writing them having sex because they’re so obsessed with everyone having to have a romantic relationship; often saying things like 'well some people who are aro/ace still enjoy relationships/sex’ and ignore the fact that there are plenty who don’t and ignore how hurtful it is to romance/sex-repulsed aro ace people to see every character whose aro and/or ace be treated that way. The problem is not that some people don’t like shippy stuff and so are trying to stop other people from shipping, the problem is that fandom is so obsessed with shipping that they can’t enjoy other parts of fandom or acknowledge the existence of things outside of ships. Which is not only just annoying but it bleeds into real life and results in things like people thinking its okay to ship actual real people.

Nah, it’s a general criticism. A lot of fans - whether those who make content or don’t - tend to be in favor of doubling down on the SA2-‘06 era’s tendency of taking the DBZ elements of Sonic up to eleven. You know, hedgehogs being the equivalent of Saiyans, super forms always being used to save the day while everyone else cheers them on helplessly, and so on.

This is something I’ve always been opposed to, because although Dragon Ball has always had an obvious influence on Sonic, it also took inspiration from other sources as well, the Death Egg being one of the most obvious examples. The atypical combination of different inspirations is part of what makes Sonic’s world and cast interesting, so when the whole thing gets reduced to little more than DBZ With Furries, it indicates to me that there’s a lack of proper understanding of this franchise.

That should cover all of them.

In the timeline I looked into there’s a feature where with stages that transform you can choose to only use some or freeze it on any form that you want. The Paper Mario stage is finally good because you can keep it on the ship form for the entire match without having to deal with the Sticker Star or Bowser’s Castle segments. Also every stage has a special form used for a boss battle and clearing the boss lets you use it in VS mode.
