Mithos Yggdrasill's connections to the Undertale-verse (for likely UT crossover RP threads--mostly for non ToS players’ reference)

Mithos' default timeline that crosses over with Undertale exists in an AU where the Underground exists beneath Aselia, the canon world of Tales of Symphonia.  In this world's history, the entire world was once made up of two countries: Sylvarant and Tethe'alla.  After the monsters were sealed into the Underground, Sylvarant and Tethe'alla eventually ended up at war, which drained vast amounts of the world's mana, causing widespread drought, crop death and just general decline in the world's overall health.  Mithos, along with his sister Martel and their two friends Kratos and Yuan, eventually brought this war to its end by forming an alliance with an infinitely powerful spirit known as Origin and separating the two countries into parallel worlds, completely cut off from each other.

After the events of the war, a few monsters are able to escape from the Underground, but due to the limited mana, they are unable to support their own magic-based bodies on the surface, and so they revert to beast-like creatures that most RPGs are familiar with, in order to adapt and survive on the surface world, which is where the standard monsters that roam Aselia freely originated.

One of the most important things in Aselia is the Tower of Salvation.  Any time a Chosen One is set to begin their journey to break the seals across the land on their way to become an angel, an emissary of Cruxis, the order of angels, will come down, talk to them, and then a giant tower  that reaches to heaven (which is actually just a giant comet that's been hidden from the world for millenia) called the Tower of Salvation appears.  The Chosen is to climb that tower after breaking all the seals, and when they reach the top, they complete their angel transformation, and if all works out, the Goddess Martel is reborn through them.  Or rather, that's what the masses believe anyway. The one thing about the Tower of Salvation, is that it appears in both Sylvarant and Tethe'alla, as one of the only two points that the two worlds meet (otherwise they are completely parallel, and the other being a set of ruins known as the Otherworldly Gate that only opens on full moons). There's a barrier around the Tower that only the Chosen or a high ranking angel can break, to keep humans and thieves away.  What if New Home is located beneath the Tower of Salvation, and the barrier that keeps them down there became part of the barrier around the Tower of Salvation? This would give Mithos much more incentive to actually travel through the underground, since he'd be able to break it without a monster's soul.  This could also be a way to tie the monsters into the Exspheres, as well.  If a human is wearing an unprotected Exsphere, and the Exsphere is removed, the mana in their bodies go haywire and turn them into monsters.  So maybe there's a way to tie in Exspheres being tied to monster souls and the removal of the Exsphere causes the souls to merge, kind of like what happened with the whole Asriel and Chara ordeal, which is why angels can break the barrier without needing an extra soul, they've already all got special Exspheres.
