Dorcas occasionally enjoyed utilizing her prefect privileges for things that did not include screening the nightly activities of her class mates. Every once in awhile, she took to sneaking away to steal a few moments for herself, to just enjoy the quiet solitude of the castle. Some of her favorite places to decompress were the towers (many times with a warm sweater and a good book.) This particular night, her feet had led her to the Clock Tower, where she very much expected to be alone… Glancing up from her book, she quirked a brow gave the stranger engulfed in darkness an unsure smile.

            For the first time since his first year there, Sirius Black was disgruntled with the way he found Hogwarts when he arrived. The castle had long been his home away from the madness of his family, and the fact that it was changing bothered him – not that he showed it. Instead, he simply slouched against the wall in the Gryffindor Common Room, his hands buried in the pockets of his robes, while his piercing grey gaze took in the other occupants. More than half of them were looking at small, handheld devices, and evidently gossiping via muggle invention. Sirius was not at all impressed. 

          Though he eschewed all of his mother’s values on principal, Sirius could not help but be of the opinion that muggles rarely had any useful inventions. There was enough gossip at Hogwarts already without the addition of these silly devices, and Sirius, for one, was absolutely not taking part. Not unless someone could explain what all the fuss was about … or make it worth his time.

mary was glad to be back at school and to be with her friends and classmates . she walks into the gryffindor common room. “where all the fun? “ she jokes . “you can’t tell me your bored already? we just got here and it hasn’t been even  week yet.” she asks .

the sigh that passed lily’s lips almost sounded relieved as she looked around the gryffindor table. sometimes the young witch couldn’t help but feel that she almost lead a double life, one where she was being forced to go with her mother and sister to look for petunia’s perfect wedding dress and one where war loomed over their heads. though lily still wasn’t sure if she was more afraid of petunia in wedding mode or the dark lord and his band of thugs.

loading food onto her plate lily glanced around, “any thoughts about this year’s song from the hat? it seemed a bit gloomier than usual don’t you think? i was almost expecting a few abbreviations thrown i now that we’ve got cell service around here.”

mary was glad to be back at school . she couldn’t use magic all summer she lived in a muggle Neighborhood so just trying to finished her summer homework was complicated. “to be fairs lils i don’t know . does the hat even have moods?”
