Hunger. He was just so hungry. Unable to resist the urges pulsing through him like wildfire any longer he opened his mouth wide and then bit down into the others neck. Hot tears slid down his cheeks as he drank greedily, his whole body shaking. The red liquid was salty and yet tasted sweet on his tongue and he almost lost himself in the sensation; swallowing greedily.  He caught himself in time, knowing instinctively just how much Guren could handle. He jerked back, grabbing at his throat and stumbling back several steps before he collapsed. Pain seared through him and he closed his eyes tightly, wet tears slowly drying on his cheeks as he closed his eyes tightly, Gurens blood pulsing through his veins like a freezing fire.  When his eyes opened once more they were no longer the color of early morning sky. Blue had faded into a deep red, somehow accentuating his silver hair. Knowing that the color had changed he flinched and looked away, digging his fingers into his arms. “Don’t look at me.” he whispered, shame coursing through him. He could still feel the stain of the others blood on his chin and he curled in on himself more. He was so disgusted in himself. He was in love with Guren after all, how could he do this to the other? He truly was a monster now. 

He’d been ready; Prepared for the brief pain the minute he heard Gurens sword leave its sheath. But the blow never came. His eyes opened slowly to look at Guren. He couldn’t deny that he was hungry, the ache pulsing through his whole body. “Guren…” he reached out so his fingers brushed through the others locks.  His lips moved closer to the others exposed neck, fangs pulsing eagerly, but instead his forehead met the others skin. He was shaking with the effort of control; attempting to ignore how painful it really was. “I..” he began weakly. “I swore my life to you Guren. I swore when we were only 16 that I’d never leave your side. My whole life…all that I am…has lived for you ever since.” Hot tears beaded in his eyes, dripping down the others neck and cradling in his open shirt. “Don’t…don’t tempt me please. I don’t want to hurt you. I don’t want to become a monster. At least…at least like this I can still pretend to be human. At least like this I can pretend we’ll die together.” Frail hands fisted in his jacket. Guren smelled so familiar…a scent he hadn’t even realized was comforting until now when his senses were heightened.  “I’ll always live for you Guren.”

Shinya growled, stepping back as the other stepped forward. “Don’t touch me!” he snapped, his hand going to the sword at his hip. “I don’t want filth like me dirtying up my clean clothes.” It ached in his chest that he had to be so cold but in reality he had no choice.  He could feel cold eyes watching him, sending a shudder down his back as he forced his expression to remain blank. “I don’t know who you think I am but I’m not that person. I’m here to kill you. Draw your weapon Yuichiro, at least make this a little fun for me.”

“Well, if it isn’t little Yuichiro.” The vampire purred, sauntering up to the young male. Normally he would have been quite happy to see the other alive and well but he was being watched and he needed to be cautious. He moved forward, grinning at the other, his blue eyes still quite apparent despite the fangs protruding from his upper mouth.  “What a pleasant surprise. To what do I owe your presence in this den of blood thirsty beasts? hm?”

His eyes lowered and he shook his head. “Not really. I think I was looking for something; death maybe.” A heavy sigh escaped him as he ran a finger over his aching fangs. “I suppose if it was death I sought in a way I found it.” Cold blue eyes turned to the demon, a smirk slipping across his features. “I don’t think I was doing very well if that’s what you want to know.” Another pause and then he held out his hand. “Shinya, Shinya Hiragi.” It wasn’t so much to be friendly but more for the sake of something to say. He and the demon would never be friends, but it was better then falling alone. 

“What I want isn’t of any import.” he moved to sit by the demon. He had no qualms about being hurt anymore. His body had already been broken along with his fear of pain.  He could hope that even in a demonic state he could still be useful to Guren but in the end that wasn’t just how his luck worked. “Who knows. I don’t think anyone knows how long they have. Time is a monster that controls us all and tells us nothing.”

You know just once it’d be nice if someone actually cared how I feel about this whole thing. I love my mom and I always have but she’s been putting her own needs first so much that I’m slowly deteriorating. My emotions are shot, my ability to fight is dying. I’m not the kind of person to act on it so don’t worry but I just wanna die. I swear the only thing I have left right now is my cat, my laptop, and my boyfriend.  I’m just crying under my blankets and hugging a pillow to my chest because I can’t take it anymore. What the hell am I supposed to do when no one listens to me? I try to tell people what they’re doing wrong to hurt me but no it only matters when I do something to hurt them.  I guess I just don’t really matter.
