Simlish ring finger tattoo

Hiii! This is my first attempt at making CC and I thought I'd share in case anyone else found it useful!

I really wanted my legacy founders to have each other's initials tattooed on their ring fingers, but when I was searching for the CC, I couldn't find it. I had a go at making it myself and here we are!

I like everything in my game to be simlish so that's what these are, but if people wanted them, I could make an English version too?

I made every letter of the alphabet, so there are 26 swatches. The swatches are in alphabetical order, e.g. the first swatch is the letter A, the second swatch is the letter B, and so on.

You can find these in the lower left arm category and they work on both masc and femme frames. They should be base game compatible, but please let me know if you have any issues. They also work with opacity sliders!

Jess: I guess it might be time for me to go home. I think I’m actually gonna miss this place, it’s starting to grow on me a bit.

Josie: You know you can come back and visit whenever! You’ve helped us out so much.

Teddy: Agreed! One last favor, though. Take some of these roses with you when you go?

Whilst Jess stepped out onto the porch to take her call, Teddy pulled Josie close.

Josie: What d’you think?

Teddy: Would ya look at that… You’re really stuck with me now.

Josie: I think marriage and three kids sealed that deal. Besides, I wasn’t planning on going anywhere.

Jess: Watcher, I leave the room for five minutes–

Josie: Sorry! What did they say?

Jess: Oh, y’know. They liked my portfolio and they think I’d make a good artist, but…

Josie: You didn’t get it?!

Jess: Nah, I totally did. I’m going pro, baby!

Before long, the buzz of the tattoo gun came to a stop, and Josie admired the unexpected new addition to her hand.

Josie: I can’t believe you convinced me to do that! I love it, though!

Jess: You’ll get the bug now. You know where I am if you want–

Jess's words hung in mid-air as she paused to look at her phone, which was vibrating incessantly.

Josie: Is it Zac?

Jess: No… It’s the studio. The one I applied to work at…

Josie: What are you waiting for?! Answer it!

Jess: What if they say no?

Josie: Ignoring them won’t help! Pick up the phone!

And so, Josie impulsively decided to get her first tattoo. She gripped the arm of the chair in nervous anticipation as Jess began, and flinched as the needle scraped along her skin.

Josie: That hurts!

Jess: I'll be quick. At least you’re less twitchy than Teddy.

Teddy: Hey! You try getting a scar tattooed! That hand is sensitive.

Austin: What doin’?

Jess: Stay there, bud. Your mom’s getting a tattoo.

Austin: What dat?

Josie: A little drawing, like what Daddy has!

Austin: Oh… My turn?

Josie: Not today, baby. Maybe when you’re a little older.

With a grin on his face, Teddy held out his left hand for Josie to see. Where the gold band usually sat, there was now…

Josie: Is that a J? You got my initial on your ring finger?!

Teddy: D’you like it?Josie: That’s pretty cute… You’re cute for doing it.

Jess: If you want a matching one, I can do a T for you, Josie.

Josie: I do kinda like it…

Teddy: Oh, she’s tempted!

Jess: Do it! Let me give my baby sister her first ink!

Josie: Y’all are a bad influence. You better not be lying about how painful it is!

Josie: Shouldn’t you be doing that in a studio or something? This doesn’t seem very safe.

Teddy: I got most of my tattoos before I got sober. Trust me, I’ve been to sketchier places than this.

Jess: You’re going next, right?

Josie: Are you crazy?! 

Jess: Aww, c’mon! Just a lil’ one!

Josie: Doesn’t it hurt?

Teddy: It’s fine. I’ve felt worse.

Jess: You’ve just given birth with no drugs, kid. I’m pretty sure you could handle it if you want one as well.

Josie: Yeah, I’ll pass.

Jess: You’re all done, Ted. Show her.

Signing for the latest parcel, Josie took that as her cue to get out of the brisk breeze and into the comforting warmth of the house. There were bouquets of flowers covering every surface. Gifts for Jess, from an apologetic Zac.

Josie: We've got another one!

Teddy: I think someone misses you, Jess.

Josie: Right? We’re running out of space for— What are you two doing?!

Jess: Tattooing. 

Josie: I see that! Do you know how?!

Jess: Oh, relax! I’ve done loads of Zac’s. 

Josie: And you just happened to have a tattoo gun with you?

Jess: Never leave home without it.

Getting Annie down for an afternoon nap was near impossible with the twins around.

They’d soon be starting pre-school, and Josie would have a few precious hours each day to spend alone with her youngest child. However, for the time being, a peaceful stroll around the ranch would have to do.

A flash of early Spring sunshine glinting off a windshield caught her eye, and she giggled. The frequent deliveries had become part of their daily routine in the past couple of weeks, and the occupants of Riverstone Ranch were now on first-name terms with the drivers.

Josie: You did?! You never said! Doing what?

Jess: A tattoo apprentice. It’s at a shop in Del Sol where I got most of my tattoos done. I dunno if they'll want me, though.

Josie: Wow! That’s… Uhh, are you good at art?

Jess: We really don’t know each other very well, do we?

Josie: I guess not.

The sisters stared at each other, their troubled history stretching out between them like a great plain. A distance that they could accept was too far to cross, or perhaps they could find a way to meet in the middle somehow.

Jess: D'you think I could stay for a while?

Josie: As long as you want.

Jess seemed to read Josie’s mind as she caught Josie’s gaze, and she suddenly felt guilty for heaping her problems on the exhausted new mom.

Jess: They’re good kids. Almost sweet enough to make me broody.

Josie: You could have another. If you made up with Zac, I mean.

Jess: Hell no. Those days are behind me. I’ve spent the last eighteen years following Zac around on tour and being a mom to a kid who’s starting to feel like a lost cause. It’s about time I did something for myself.

Josie: Like what?

Jess: Well, I applied for a job.

Josie: So he’s in jail?!

Jess: Nope. That’s why I’m fighting with Zac. He bailed Maddox out.

Josie: Isn’t that a good thing?

Jess: Is it? I don’t know… Getting expelled from three schools wasn’t enough of a wake-up call for him. I thought this might be, but Zac just lets him get away with it, always.

The sisters settled into silence as Josie considered what she’d do if she one day found herself in the same situation with her own kids.

Her eyes lingered on Austin, who was quietly flipping through a picture book next to her. Would she bail him out, or leave him to learn a lesson?

She studied her sister’s face, trying to decipher the truth. They might not see each other often, but when they spoke over the phone, the conversation usually turned to Jess’s tempestuous family life.

Josie: Which one are you fighting with?

Jess: I’m not–

Josie: You are. Zac or Maddox?

Jess: Both.

Josie: Oh, Jess… What now?

Jess sighed heavily, and…

Jess: Maddox got arrested.

Josie: What?! Why?

Jess: He stole a car. He’s so stupid. He doesn’t even need a one; we bought him one for his birthday. Not that that would be an excuse, but… He just did it for fun. I can’t believe how he’s turning out.

Jess: I wish you guys would just move to Del Sol. It’s too quiet in this town, and it’s freezing. 

Josie: You didn’t have to come, Jess. I don’t even know where you’re gonna sleep. We don’t have a spare room.

Jess: The couch is fine. Anything to spend time with my baby sister.

Josie’s eyes narrowed. There was definitely more to this visit than Jess was letting on.

Josie: What’s wrong with you? You’re being weird. 

Jess: I am not. I’m being nice!

Josie: Exactly. You never visit–

Jess: Well, maybe I’m trying to change that. Can’t I hang out with you and your horde of kids?

Josie glanced at Jess and winced. There was her sister dressed in leopard and leather, looking every inch the rockstar girlfriend and oozing confidence, whilst Josie was in a milk-stained sweater and threadbare leggings, the shadows under her eyes growing darker by the day.

Jess: Is that her? Gimme!

Josie: Yep, this is Annie.

Jess: Ugh, she’s so cute. I love them at this age, I just wish they didn’t have to grow up into shitty teenagers–

Josie: Jess.

Jess: Sorry. Crappy teenagers. Better?

Josie: Not really. C’mon, the twins are in the living room.

When Josie’s former nanny, Mrs Murata, cancelled her visit due to her age and ill health, the first thing Josie did was call her sister, Jess. Not only was she troubled by the news, she was in despair at the loss of a helping hand during the difficult post-partum period.

She hadn’t asked Jess to come to Chestnut Ridge, nor had she expected her sister to offer. With a six-year age gap and over fifteen years of no contact, Josie wouldn’t describe their relationship as close. Still, Jess had promised to be there, and judging by the insistent knocking, she’d kept her word.
