Amelia has dark black hair, brown eyes, is Indian (her family is from India) American with chocolate brown skin, is about 5’2, thin, wears a lot of preppy style clothing such as dresses with lots of floral prints, skinny jeans with a cardigan unless she’s working on the farm then she is wearing overalls, wears Ugg boots every season, has her ears pierced with two holes in each ear, a belly button ring, two tattoos one of a lotus flower on her right arm wrist and one of a cherry blossom on her ankle.

This is my friend Kelly and she is why I started writing fan fic again!! Please check out her stories!!

I can't believe I've been writing them, my blorbos, Lyra and Harvey, for all this time! Tomorrow, is the one year anniversary of when I posted my first chapter about them. 2nd September.

I also have just passed over 220 lovely people following me on this site, a place where I come to yap endlessly about Harv, share lovely art, and daydream about my blorbos.

My long fic has also passed 200 kudos on AO3 this week, which is really quite astonishing to me and I am eternally grateful to anyone who reads any of my work!

In the last couple of weeks I also passed over 202k words on AO3, all written in this last year. I wanted to write my whole life and I can't believe I get to do this. It is a dream come true.

There are also 222 comment threads on my AO3 and the next one-shot I write will be work number 20.

There are a lot of 2s here.

Is this a ramble? Yes. I just felt like writing it down.

Next chapter of the long fic and some very lovely art should be coming on 2 September. I guess I better get some rest so I can get those last edits done.

I wish you didn't have to go

I was so very lucky to commission the great @clarisinne to make a comic from one of my one-shots, in which Harvey does the walk of shame the morning after his first night with Lyra. Anticipating a quiet stroll through town, poor Harvey gets more than he bargains for.

Like every Harvey obsessive, I've been eating up the adventures of Cringefail and her Harvey, and so feel absolutely thrilled and honoured to have had the opportunity for my own words to be made into this comic. I am absolutely in love with it.

Suddenly the sky opened, and the rain which had been merely a whisper began to fall in a noisy torrent, intensified by a flash which lit the dark. The clouds above growled, threatening more to come.

He gestured back to the clinic. ‘Then will you please come inside. I’ll walk you home later.’ He countered. Why was she so adamant; where did this friction come from? She looked around quickly, as if surveying the scene unfolding before her, weighing her options. The rain became insistent, the world around them shivering from its attentions.

The above is an excerpt from chapter four of my current short fic Ask Me Anything. A little moment of tension between Lyra and Harvey, set a few weeks before they finally became an item. Why can't she stay? (Because she is desperately in love with him, of course.)

Thanks for answering friend!! This was so fun to read!! I love hearing how people associate smells with people and memories etc. even fictional ones. ;)

For Amelia to Harvey she smells like gingerbread and marzipan because of her almond and ginger scented lotion and perfume, peppermint because she has a habit of sucking on hard candy when working to keep her energy up and fresh lemon from the days she has been in the kitchen making jam, canned vegetables and wine for the valley because she uses lemon scented soap to clean everything. When she visits the saloon he notices she often smells like rain which is from a perfume she uses that reminds her of her mother.

For Harvey to Amelia he smells like coffee from his daily habit, disinfectant from his work in the clinic and she also swears the smell of those disposable gloves linger on his hands, spearmint from his toothpaste, glue from when he work on his model planes and when he wears it a spicey citrusy/woodsy/musky cologne scent.

I’ve got the most random question because I was thinking about this today for Amelia and Harvey.

What smells do your Harvey and Lyra associate with each other?

Yes absolutely. For Lyra, it is very specific, based on the shampoo she uses for her bright red hair. For Harvey, it is more of a combination of things that make up him.

This little extract came from one of my favourite sweet and spicy fics, Whispered Dreams of Stardust:

Most nights she got ready for bed after him. He didn’t mind their routine at all, he liked to nuzzle into her freshly washed hair as they settled down to sleep. She always smelled comforting and soft, like coconut and marshmallow. [...]

He placed his glasses on the bedside table, snuggling in behind her, as he always did, wrapping his arms around her, breathing her in, the smell of her hair causing him to sigh deeply. She chuckled.

‘What? You smell great. I do this every night. This is not a surprise.’ He laughed quietly. [...]

‘I know. Still makes me smile.’

This little snippet came from my long fic:

‘Should we head out?’ I breathed, my throat slightly dry, the intoxicating scent of him making my head swim; a fresh shower, clean laundry, rich, dark coffee, and behind that, the musk of his cologne, him. I wanted to reach out and touch him. I wanted to run my fingers through his hair and pull him towards me, to kiss those lips.

Usually I have a few different fictions for various fandoms going at once. But with some health issues and summertime happening right now I am working on stories mainly for the Stardew Valley fandom.

WIP 1: A Starry Night: A one night stand trope fic, that finds Doctor Harvey falling in love with my original character Amelia. To bad for him she is stubborn as heck and is afraid of commitment. That is the best summary I think I can give for that fic.

WIP 2: Untitled one shot about Harvey and Elliott drunk singing karaoke in the middle of Town Square during spirit's eve.

WIP 3: In a Crowd: One shot about Harvey seeing Amelia perform in a musical before he even knows who she is. Based on the song In a Crowd of Thousands from the Broadway Musical Anastasia.
