I've been feeling a whole lot of that lately. Doesn't help that I saw a bunch of my favourite bands from my youth play at Download recently, that was cool as fuck and made me feel like a kid again. Damn, that is a blast from the past. Not really. Things didn't end the best for either of us, so we didn't exactly stay in touch. But if I bumped into her now, I think we'd both be pretty chill. It's been 15 years since we broke up, and I think we've both done a lot of growing up since then.

do you ever find yourself stuck in what feels like an endless loop of nostalgia? because i swear that's how i was feeling this week. ended up watching a bit of the television show that the saturdays did wayyy back when and it reminded of the fact that you and frankie actually dated. blows my mind. do you guys still talk or nah? @famepoynter

That's the basics of how humans learn, by listening to one another. I think you should go bleach blonde, that's pretty trendy. I've had friends that have shaved all their hair off and it's never grown back fully - my hairline is my pride and joy, I can't risk it.

yes, exactly — i feel that's me with a few things as well. i mean, people talk and all that so we learn things from experiences of others. i'm sure you're not missing out on much going or not, really. that is true and i've used one a couple times for longer hair as well — haven't had my hair too long in a while. not entirely my vibe these days, but who knows what it'll be in the near future. um — perhaps dye it an auburn and grow it out more. you might rock it more than you think, but i get it. not sure i could manage a fully bald look.

Oh yeah, what a cute pup! He might have been my favourite character. There's something about animals in superhero media that I love. Like the cat in the Spider-Man games? Best part.

I was able to spend a whole lot of time with Jolt! Lucky the Pizza Dog who becomes Kate's adopted Golden Retriever is played by Jolt and we bonded so quickly that my fingers are crossed I get to work with Jolt again.

House hunting to move in with somebody is more bearable, although I did split up with a girlfriend once when we realised we disagreed on everything to do with choosing a place together, and we figured that maybe we weren't right for each other anymore. Do you basically live with each other already, without actually having a place that's both of yours? If so, you should be fine.

i can understand that. i don't like it either but — the idea of having my own home and with my boyfriend, i guess gets me a bit excited about it all. i know i'll say different later though. thanks and yes, i was. it was an amazing experience.

Are you going all over? Their winters are very varied, depending on the area. Places like Darwin in the North are tropical, then you've got Tasmania feeling like England. Definitely an interesting experience. Oh yeah, fabulous over practical always. Still makes me poop my pants, it just shows how good practical effects can be.

I full heartedly agree! so, I hear. it'll be my first time ever experiencing an australian winter. and frankly, I can't wait. if push comes to shove I can always rock the faux fur. weather has never stopped from looking fabulous. I'm ready to brace it all. for that, you'll just have to come back when it's their summer, I guess. and you can never go wrong with jurassic park. those special effects still haunt me.

What show is that? Oh yeah, Midsomer Murders continues to be a staple of my mum's life. So that's a good 30 years of me being exposed to it, also known as the entirety of its run.

I will. I am just so busy at the moment. I am in a show at the moment. I am usually mid show by the time a pub has a band performing. I could see Bohemian Rhapsody coming, but wasn't expecting you to say Midsomer Murders.

You are? Amazing! I'll have to clear my schedule so I can check it out. You're right, I haven't seen one, except on the TV during an American football game. They seem pretty enthusiastic. Yeah, it is. Honestly, the majority of our gigs are in the UK, but that's sort of nice because it means we play more smaller gigs in local towns, rather than touring artists that go to about 3 cities and move onto the next country. Granted, it's because we're not as big as those sorts of artists, but still.

We're bringing it back next year, man, no doubt about it. Put me in touch with your people and we'll make it happen. You haven't seen a crowd like a Kansas City crowd — trust me on that. Well, that has to be pretty sick, playing on home turf and all that.

I'd love to see that. I suppose you'd be a little bit harder to recognise if you're caked in mud. Still, it's pretty cool. It's like Green Day knowing who I am, my brain just can't comprehend it, even now.

Who knows? I might surprise people one day and actually turn up there. Of course I know about you. There is the internet, and I have spent enough time in the UK. None in particular.

Whatever works best for you, mate. Right back at you, are you touring again? I'm sure I heard that somewhere. I know you struggled to do that for a while, so it's great you're feeling yourself again. Not feeling like you're in the right headspace to perform, as a musician who loves playing live, it's so fucking tough.

It's definitely working. I think I might, perhaps with company, perhaps alone. Oh, thank you! That's great to hear and I must admit, I love your stuff and a chance to hear some live? Can't pass that up, can I?

It's the best part of the job, honestly. Doing a press tour is sort of like doing a music tour, except the performance part isn't quite as fun. But at least it gets you out of the house and meeting people, right? Deal. Whenever you can make one, you're more than welcome to hangout backstage with us, too.

Honestly though, music festivals all summer sounds like an actual dream. I fully support this lifestyle choice. I'm jealous. I’ll be out there promoting a certain little superhero flick, so while you're melting faces with your bass, I’ll be sweating through press junkets and trying not to spoil the plot. Save me a setlist and a backstage pass, yeah?

What had you out of the area, anything exciting? You're not gonna believe this, but there's another festival in Long Beach this weekend - it's clearly the place to be. Thank you so much! I always love playing Lies, the little bass solo is so much fun.

well damn, i wasn't around the area then but i'm gonna look into seeing what is happening this weekend. maybe go out there and watch a few shows or whatever it happening in the music world. Forever's Not Enough is on the top of my favorites list right now but Lies is also making me bob my head. y'all are superb, that's all i have to say!

I'm Fine is another banger, hint hint. How would you describe it then? It's not sexy like Danny's, it's not polished like Tom's. I guess that must've been your first big project then. I remember it being huge when it came out, even if it was because people were shitting on it. They were just jealous they weren't in it, obviously.

Ooooh then I'm definitely listening! Oh my god, stop with the squeaky thing. Also I've seen the goth video and I died. Amazing content right there. Awww Thunderbirds is such a fun movie honestly. I haven't watched it probably since it came out haha. Well I am flattered!

Everybody I know who's been in the latter half of their pregnancy during the summer months have said it's absolutely miserable. I hope your aircon is alright with working overtime. Bass is definitely an underrated instrument - people think we aren't necessary, until music sounds rubbish without it. I can play a few chords on piano, but I'm not great at it, but I do also play guitar. Really? How was that for you? Do you still have the urge to do the odd pirouette?

i gotta say, i think that's a great way to spend your summer! it certainly beats being pregnant and beginning to be unable to see your toes haha. not that i'm totally upset with it, i love this little bean but it's about to be a long, hot summer. nice to meet you Dougie! i'm Karlie, i think playing the bass is actually really a neat talent. i play a bit of the piano sometimes with my little ones but that's about it. i used to be a ballet dancer, too when i was younger.

Okay, but I'd be so obsessed with you doing a cover if it was still a full rock version. Not that you wouldn't crush it regardless, but I need some Swift Rock in my life. Well, I feel like you could get anything done with a letter.

That sounds like a dream come true, holy cow. I feel like I'd make it very Dammit (sad girl autumn version), but the heart wants what it wants. Ooh, I could totally see that. I fully support it and am not above writing a strongly worded letter if necessary. I have stationery at the ready for the cause.

Wow, that's plenty of reasons to love it. Might see if we can worm our way into the line-up this year. Yeah, dated plenty of people, but never found 'the one'. But when I'm surrounded by couples like Tom and Gi, I feel like I've got very high expectations - why couldn't I fall in love with my soulmate at school? Life just isn't fair. Some places prohibit it, which is fair, but I've definitely crowd surfed before, both as a fan and a performer. You'd think you'd feel uncomfortable with a bunch of random people touching you, but it's honestly fucking amazing.

the fame music festival is definitely one we attend every year. guess it has the sentimental value tied to it. that's where i met my wife for the first time, where her water broke for our first child together and then our second one was born a few days after the next one. coachella is such a blast though and don't blame you for having that on your list. i wanted to really attend the stage coach festival but didn't get around to it this years. maybe next year though. no marriage or kiddos for you yet? the time will come at the most unexpected time but the best all at the same. have you ever crowd surfed as an artist with a huge crowd? or is that like prohibited due to safety?
