Astra ocs WWDITS x Dracula au, summarized under the cut :D

Astra is a human comedian who due to Reasons (got cancelled online for something stupid but now no one will hire her) is out of a job. Is about to lose her NYC apartment; is desperate, even performing on the street in an attempt to make her rent.

Unbeknownst to her, Suhalia, the queen of vampires, saw her perform on the street whilst on her once-a-decade jaunt into society, and was immediately smitten; having not laughed or felt joy in like 400 years.

So she sends a letter to invite her to stay at their typical vampiric mansion in the mountains as a ‘live-in entertainer’. (It’s really threatening, and sent via owl, but Astra is about to be homeless and needs a job, however goth her weird new employers are be damned).

Suhalia’s husband, King Amun, didn’t know she hired her but also does Not Care that much (he’s too busy getting it down with Pluto, the human (?) butler who’s lived there over 50 years). Amun is grumpy, a repressed gay man from ancient times with a lot of backstory that essentially makes him the most “evil” type vampire. He rules over vampire society with an iron fist; hence his centuries long marriage to Suhalia; a powerful vampire from a respected family.

Pluto however, is half vampire half human, from an ancient peaceful vampire sect that Amun eradicated when he was a child. It’s not hard to gaslight the out of touch vampire royalty that “nooo… he’s completely human! It’s normal for humans to not age super fast if they’re taking their vitamins, you know?”

He’s been plotting how to take revenge; it’s just a little difficult because A) they’re way more powerful B) …Amun is really hot (though he would rather Die than admit that’s stopping him) C) he would feel bad also killing Suhalia but like they’re a package deal so he’d kinda have to… and now finally D) he’s also falling in love with the new live in entertainer; the first friend he’s had.. ever. Vampiric polyamorous shenanigans ensue…
