When I see paintings like this I sometimes feel like it’s a trick and the artist is mocking viewers or buyers or art work suckers. But Kossoff was actually pretty interesting even if he did mostly paint his own British backyard.

Paul Klee makes art with deep meaning. his imagery sometimes confuses as it doesn’t fit into just one category. Like this fish. It’s not abstract but we can sense that it means much more than just a basic fish profile ordinarily would. Klee makes the ordinary seem profound.
