what she means: in The Lizzie Bennet Diaries Episode 21, Lizzie says that she wants to change the culture, and even though this was a meta reference to the ways that the source material, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, changed the culture of the time period, it is also an unknowing reference to the fact that TLBD would go on to inspire countless other webseries adaptations to create an entire new subgenre of adapting classical or even contemporary literature, so the subtle joke turned out to be a prediction for the future and I’m so proud I could cry oh too late

do you ever sit and think about your female ancestors and like how many of them endured forced marriages, sexual abuse, physical violence and complete deprivation of education and autonomy and suffered silently for literally centuries. going through pregnancies and child birth without modern medicine, having multiple children and watching most of them die before the age of five because that was just the way of life back then? and ultimately you are a product of their pain? i think about them a lot and then i think about how many women continue to share their reality in this current year

After watching the first episode of Season 7 of Game of Thrones, one of my favorite shows, I just had to discuss all of the amazing, strong female characters who were featured in this episode: Daenerys Targaryen, Arya Stark, Sansa Stark, Cersei Lannister, and Lyanna Mormont. I was impressed with each of their stories here and I can't wait to see how they progress throughout the season.
