Despite needing the kind of loose-ish interpretation you'd expect out of trying to fit a song made for one property to another (e.g. not just a metaphorical meaning of "something you paid for" but a far different one), "What Was I Made For" really scarily fits a lot of the Doctor's recent arc enough that I'd want a Doctor Who fanvid/AMV to it

I know because of the unique nature of Found as a procedural it's hard to make AUs for but there's something in me that feels like it'd work with a Librarians AU (esp. given the episode that just happened and how much (in the non-have-to-be-a-romantic-pairing-way) Librarian/Guardian energy was coming from Gabi and Dhan) and I figured out at some point during the "mid-season break" (god am I so thankful S2's apparently going to be a normal length, holy weird year) how one would make such an AU fit with Zeke's issues. Despite feeling like he should be because of his age and "found-family" role, Zeke wouldn't be a LIT in the Librarians AU, he'd be the Jenkins-type esp. as that also can work as a parallel to in canon how he's got family in high places and his trust fund funds their entire operation.

There are some elements of both I'm still trying to figure out how would fuse but fusion!AU concept: Michael as renegade Time Lord The Architect (Michael's just his when-he-needs-a-human-name name) and the other four of the Soul Squad as his Team TARDIS

Because Good Omens isn't really a defined-ensemble show outside the main duo it's hard to determine who'd go in what supporting role but ever since someone mentioned how some Ineffable Husbands romantic moment from S2 reminded them of something similar from Booth and Brennan I wanted someone to make some kind of Bones AU (if Good Omens isn't too British to make a human!AU in American law enforcement as I don't know how equivalents would stack up across the pond) with Special Agent Anthony Crowley and mystery author/forensic anthropologist Dr. A.Z. Fell

If the second act of Zanna, Don’t weren’t so disappointing (fingers crossed for movie or Broadway version that fixes things while keeping the other themes intact and the light tone) the first would make me want to write a Bones HS!AU based on it as the main ensemble corresponds surprisingly well (with the only slight not-quite-fit but only marginally being Zack as Tank). The rest of the parallel is as follows:
Sweets - Zanna
Brennan - Kate
Booth - Steve
Angela - Roberta
Hodgins - Mike

Concept: a Warehouse 13/Eureka AU where the shows essentially switch ensembles (but who takes what role in the other show determined by matching arcs more than matching fields) so you’ve got things like a Eureka-as-Warehouse-13 AU with Henry as the Artie, magic like Leena’s adding even more layers of chaos to Beverly’s machinations, and Zoe kinda getting dragged along with Jack’s recruitment because she’s a minor who was there at the incident that attracted the Warehouse to him but (at least initially) isn’t allowed to go out on any field snags if he isn’t there to watch her butt (the decision on if she’d be considered a full-blown agent would happen if she chooses to stay once she’s 18). And on the Warehouse-13-as-Eureka side I don’t know if there’d be a Zoe-equivalent but Pete would be the Jack equivalent heading back from whatever government business would require a secret service agent but not require that they be in the same vehicle with the POTUS, Claudia would be a native who left town when her family all succumbed to tragedy and because she was believed to be the only Donovan left no one in Eureka would step up to do the foster/guardian thing as people were too scared of her but then she hacks her way back into GD searching for the truth about her brother’s teleportation experiment, Leena despite being the town therapist wouldn’t be the “town femme fatale” as that distinction would apply to a certain mysterious initialed inventor who couldn’t possibly be one of the town’s founders (and maybe even older) who’s still alive and young and healthy at the age she was in 1947, and perhaps all the major townspeople there isn’t a main character to fit could have their roles filled with side characters

Concept: an Abbott Elementary AU for the 2009 The Electric Company with the Electric Company as teachers and Francine as the principal (not sure what to do about the other Pranksters though)

For another AU-I’m-surprised-no-one’s-done; AU where Eureka, Warehouse 13 and The Librarians are in the same universe and (though this AU isn’t solely to Watsonianly justify this thing) the Watsonian reason Taggart’s Australian accent is so bad (and also why he pops in and out of the show) is because (at least for some time before the show started, who knows if he just took the place of a real guy) Taggart isn’t Taggart but Dulaque doing some sort of deep-cover (who knows what after, perhaps the Artifact or some other sufficently-disguised-magic-indistiguishable-from-technology) in an identity as far as possible from how he normally presents himself. And when he and Jo start becoming an item, she ends up toeing the line of almost going dark because he reveals the whole Lancelot part of himself without mentioning anything about the Brotherhood (sure he didn’t start out leader, maybe he was just high-up working his way up under the leadership of the guy from the first movie) so she actually takes that revelation well enough to let herself get a little bit played while Jack is skeptical of all aspects of this situation “of course you’d think the guy you’re dating is a knight in shining armor, you’re in love”

I “blame” only So Help Me Todd’s newness as a fandom for why there hasn’t been some crossover-y content with it and Ace Attorney yet, as I mean come on, similar tones and loose-relationship-with-realistic (including how some of the iconic Portland things expied on SHMT kinda give it the same sort of slightly-askew-alternate-universe feel), similar sticking-up-for-the-little-guy vibes, and Wrights in legal professions on the side of the defense (I know it might be hard to fit SHMT’s parallel Oregon into the weirdness of the Ace Attorney setting but if you could make them mesh I could totally see a crossover-AU where, like, Todd and Phoenix were cousins or something and end up having to do some big legal family team-up because serious SHTF)

Maybe I’m just projecting from lack of good sci-fi/fantasy “team” shows these past couple years (at least on things I get) but why does it feel like the new Quantum Leap reboot would work perfectly as an AU for The Librarians (Flynn leaping, Eve as his hologram and Cassandra, Ezekiel, Jake and Jenkins as the rest of the project team)

Just realized a Librarians AU for The Orville would work better than you think; it’d just have to work in Alara-and-later-Talla and Bortus as nonhuman Library allies or whatever as the main Library team would be Ed and Kelly as the main Librarian/Guardian duo (kinda works with their leadership styles if they’re the Fleve) and Gordon, John and Claire as the LITs (despite Claire’s age (and the kids she’s bringing along as “junior Librarians”) and John’s initial imposter syndrome). If you’re wondering where Isaac fits in, he’d be a different-kind-of-nonhuman-but-looking-like-his-canon-human-guise and the Jenkins of the AU (which leads to one of the “main mythology conflicts” that wouldn’t be a version of any canon Librarians arc (as it wouldn’t necessarily follow original plot progression of either show but kinda fuse the two) being them having to step up to protect the Library even more when his ties to being a [whatever-he-is tbd, just because he won’t be a knight doesn’t mean this won’t delve into Arthuriana] end up pulling him in an opposite direction of his ties to the Library and he temporarily goes a bit rogue). As I earlier implied this ideally won’t just be playing out either versions of Librarians plots with different characters or Librarians!AU-equivalents of canon Orville plots but kind of a mash of both (e.g. someone would get magic but it wouldn’t have to be Claire solely because “she’s the only girl LIT that makes her the Cassandra”) and it’d still cover things like Arthuriana or Fictionals just in different ways

I know it’s weird to get inspired for an AU by analysis of an already-ended show’s early seasons but I was browsing the sortinghatchats Tumblr on the Wayback Machine and I noticed that a lot of the way (generalized/adjusted for setting) they described the early S2 of AOS Fitzsimmons split/fallout and the different priorities clashing sounded a lot like the conflict that befalls a different joined-at-the-hip fictional pair that I also sorted as True Ravenclaw and Slytherclaw like they sorted Simmons and Fitz; Jeremy Heere and Michael Mell from Be More Chill.
So imagine AOS BMC AU with Simmons as Jeremy (not sure who’d be her Christine though as different non-Fitz love interests fit in different aspects) and Fitz as Michael

Listening to this version of the classic show tune when it struck me how well this would work in (aka I’d like to see one) an Owl House amv, some lyrics might work more literally or figuratively than others in my vision of what scenes would be used but they’re all freaking poignant

I know it seems either weird or the same level of corny some “DC high school canon AUs” get to make a realistic-fiction AU for something very steeped in fantasy or sci-fi but I just had the coolest AU idea for The Owl House; a music industry AU (shouldn’t matter if most of them are still teens, there’s a lot of teenage artists in the industry nowadays and you could make it some kind of “label gimmick” without making the modern!Belos-headed label an analogue for Disney itself). Think about it, you’ve got e.g. Luz being some teenage up-and-comer who got famous through social media and/or something related to fandom music, Eda being an independent artist who cut ties with their former mutual label when she cut ties with her sister to do her own bad girl riot grrl thing (and if you still want them living together perhaps Luz gets kicked out of her house when her love of music gets too intrusive on the rest of her life and her mom basically goes “if you want to chase your dream, do it on your own”), Willow eventually discovering her potential as the next big pseudo-indie-sadgirl (she shares MBTI and Enneagram, imho, with Billie Eilish, Post Malone and The Weeknd so in making a TOH music AU you don’t think I’d have that reflected in her hypothetical music) despite attempting to be pushed towards more mainstream bubblegum pop, the bards still technically being bards as filk is a thing and there’s places where it could get mainstream acceptance etc. etc.

From a certain point of view, this might make a cool Moon Knight amv (y’know, recontextualize the song even modulo showtunes-don’t-perfectly-apply-outside-show as basically the good version of Confrontation from Jekyll & Hyde)

AU concept: Miraculi in the Pokemon world
And by that I don’t just mean Ash etc. wielding the canon ones I mean brand new Miraculi (perhaps following similar tropes to the canon ones if you can find enough) based on certain Pokemon the way the canon Miraculi are based on animals (the kwami wouldn’t necessarily have to supplant the legendaries/all base the Miraculi on legendaries as despite holding sway over fundamental forces the kwami aren’t really gods in that same sense in canon, perhaps they’d just be thought of as akin to mythicals it’s just you can’t catch them)
