what comics would u recommend if someone wanted to read comics for vision? ur posts abt them have made me interested in them lol
Hi anon! I’m really happy I’ve inspired you, here’s a list in rough chronological order (in universe rather than publication history), there’s quite a few different ones and some are more ones that I found particularly interesting but aren’t necessarily vital to Vision. Everything here is 616 comics, but I’d be happy to add alternate realities too if you’re interested in them! Hope this is a good place to start, happy reading!
You'd want to start with Avengers Origins: The Vision, which is a really good retelling of Vision's origin given in Avengers Vol 1 #57-58. Vision's relationship with Janet is much more empathised which I like and there's a lot of focus on the dynamic between Vision & Ultron, which I appreciate !
Avengers Vol 1 #91 - #93. This is more ScarletVision based than specifically Vision but I think it’s worth checking out for Vision’s emotional struggles!
Avengers Vol 1 #113, Vision gets attacked by anti-robot suicide bombers? It’s weird and is very heavy handed with it’s coding of Vision, but I think it’s worth checking out!
Avengers Vol 1 #160, some background is that Vision, who's brainwaves come from Simon Williams, was approached by Simon's elder brother Eric Williams (Avengers Vol 1 #102, #106 - #108 if you’re interested in that specific dynamic between Vision and the Williams’ Brothers) a few times to try and put Vision's mind in other bodies in hope that Vision was his late little brother, who's death caused him so much grief he became a supervillain. If you want you can read the full background between Vision and Simon starting at Avengers Vol 1 #151 - #153, Avengers Annual Vol 1 #6, Avengers #154 - #156, but it isn’t necessary specifically to Vision :)
Avengers Vol 1 #238 - #254, a lot of stuff happens in this time but basically Vision tries to take over the world after getting minorly fucked up which is just... really fucking funny to me. It’s a longer arc but worth checking out if it sounds interesting!
Marvel Fanfare #14, Vision goes apeshit on some fellow heroes for stealing their wife and it’s honestly a gem. Vision does not pull punches when it comes to their wife and it’s really good to get a sense of Vision’s power and overwhelming love for the people they care about.
Marvel Fanfare #58, this comic is set before V&SW and shows Vision & Wanda’s first attempt at settling down in Leonia, New Jersey. It’s a B story so there’s a Shana the She-Devil comic first, but it’s honestly really good and once again shows the strength of ScarletVision’s love and also of their determination to settle.
Marvel Super-Heroes Vol 2 #10, this is another story set in Leonia and is absolutely gorgeous in it’s art and I personally find very sweet. They work very well together as a team.
The Vision and the Scarlet Witch Vols 1 & 2, for Vol 2 I recommend reading it aside the sister series West Coast Avengers Vol 2 becase they run mostly side by side narratively and some stuff might be confusing without it!
I’m not going to recommend the Darker Than Scarlet arc from late WCA because quite frankly I think it’s bad writing and is a disservice to Vision, Wanda, and Simon as characters, and I don’t consider most of White Vision part of Vision’s history because they were a completely different person but that said I did enjoy Avengers Spotlight #23, it’s fun and lighthearted which you wouldn’t get a lot of with Byrne!
Avengers Vol 1 #367, Vision has their emotions back yay!! They just are very determined to pretend that they don’t lol.
Vision Vol 1, this series is absolutely bizarre but a hell of a lot of fun. Vision struggles with their memories and emotions and becomes?? a hard-boiled detective??? Ultron is the town drunk and Anti-Vision, an evil alternate reality version of Vision who you do not need to worry about. There’s also references to Alex Lipton, who’s brainwaves was used as another base for Vision when they got their emotions back. Alex Lipton was a cop and this is also never brought up again so don’t worry about it too much, but this series was fun. If insane.
Avengers Vol 3 #19 - #23, this arc focuses heavily on Ultron, Vision, and the general Pym Family tree. It’s racist in it’s handling of Wanda and it goes into the Infamous Yellowjacket Arc (written by Roy Thomas) but despite that still is worth checking out if you’re interested in the dynamics between Vision, Ultron and Simon. #23 in particular is very Vision-Simon focused, although again has a really weird moment where protesters are complaining that there’s no black members on the team and seem villianised for it?? Take this run with a grain of salt, basically.
Avengers: Celestial Quest is one of the most Englehart comics I’ve ever read but honestly is very enjoyable. Vision is slightly obsessed with Mantis but it’s Englehart so Mantis is the forefront. Their romance is super sweet and absolutely worth checking out. One of the few comics that acknowledged Vision’s pain over Billy & Tommy explictly which I appreciate <3
There aren’t a lot of Vision - centered stories from this point on and even less so good ones, and unfortunately after this time period we hit Avengers Disassembled and House of M, which are nortiously bad. Vision, due to Shit Writing gets killed by a Wanda influenced She-Hulk and didn’t return until Avengers V4 #19.
Avengers V4 #24.1 is a Vision centered issue about them adjusting to life after everyone seemed to move on from them. It’s Bendis so I don’t love it but there’s a nice moment where they get a hug from She-Hulk so that’s nice :)
Don’t bother with Avengers Vs X-Men, it’s shit and hates Wanda and also Frank Cho is on art so it looks gross.
Avengers Assemble Annual is a Vision centered story and again is a lot about them adjusting back to life, but I like the writing here a lot more :)
Avengers A.I is one of my favourite comics out there, Vision along with Hank Pym lead a team of robots to defend the rights of Artificial Intelligence. It makes Vision into a nanotech being which unfortunately we haven’t seen a lot of since but I think it’s a really good story and I found it very satisfying.
Vision Vol 2 is a comic I honestly really dislike in it’s characterisation of Vision but it introduces Viv Vision ( a gem ) so you might want to check it out, I just have a thing against this comic lol. A beautifully drawn character assassination.
Avengers: Ultron Forever, New Avengers: Ultron Forever, Uncanny Avengers: Ultron Forever is an arc across all these comics where Vision and Black Widow, and a handful of other characters get transported in time and fight shit! Vision’s very snarky in this which I missed. Danielle Cage is there and she’s awesome!
Avengers Vol 7 #1 - #11, this comic wasn’t always good and a lot of people didn’t like it but I enjoyed Vision in it. Sam Wilson and Hercules are both there and I really enjoy Vision’s dynamic with them both! The final issue’s moment with Hercules really tugs at my heartstrings tbh.
Avengers: No Road Home is my final addition to this list! It’s a really well drawn, well written comic with some old Avengers, some new. The final issue especially is just so fucking beautiful I get emotional every time I read it!
So ends the list! I’m aware this is somewhat long but I feel like this is a good collection of moments that I was either really touched by or feel like are important to the character. I will also add Ultimate Vision and Cataclysm, that showcase the Ultimate universe version of Vision who honestly other than Miles Morales was the best thing to come out of that universe. If you’re a Sam Wilson fan also you should definitely check these out!

Doodles from maybe a year ago. I was going to make a full fan comic, but I don't have the time or energy to draw all that. I still work on the script sometimes, though.
I'm not sure if I ship these two characters, but I do like the drama between them xD

✨Final Fantasy X Cover🌊
One of great hits of Playstation. You know the main team, but also the Aeons by their side.
My notes: Doing the characters was really fun, and some Aeons were really cool to draw. And I could do different wallpapers or even stickers.
My favourites are Shiva, Ifrit and Ixion.
I hope you like it!

I can finally share my piece for the @ff9zine!
I've always wished we could visit Burmecia while it was thriving, so I chose to depict a post-game Burmecia getting back on its feet and welcoming visitors from all over.
[Image Description: A digital illustration of a street in Burmecia. In the foreground, Freya is speaking to a man selling produce beneath a tarp, while a black mage and Genome woman contemplate another stand on the opposite side of the street. Farther back, Quina stands tilting their head back to taste the rain, with one Cleyran dancer joining them and another holding a hand out from beneath her umbrella. On the roofs above, a Burmecian woman is repairing rooftiles while a man holds an umbrella for her, and Zidane and Mikoto sit chatting. A Burmecian family is visible passing beneath an arch deeper into the city, and the palace rises in the distance. /end ID]

Fanart as a tribute for FFIX's 21st anniversary, it took me some months to finish due to life concerns. I chose to use more iconic weapons instead of the weapons you would naturally be using at this point in the game, because they look better. you can see my art early, and gain access to high resolution files by subscribing to my patreon! You can also find this on twitter!
