Morthal and Solitude!

Morthal- Do you enjoy exploring dungeons and ruins?

Tbh it really depends on my mood. My favorite part of playing skyrim is to help build my storylines which usually contains the voice acting mostly. But I think dungeons are fun.

Soltiude- who's your favorite jarl? Who's your least and why?

Honestly I do not have a favorite or least favorite Jarl at all, but if I was forced to choose it's Siddgeir for my favorite and Idgrod for my least favorite.

Siddgeir is at the top, not because he's a good person, but because I feel like he serves cunt in a dumbass way, he has an attitude and i feek like if he was more improtant in the civil war quest he'd would have caused some drama.

With Idgrod she just feels like she was suppose to be more important but they just gave her visions that may or may not be senile hallucinations. She also feels useless with barely any personality.

i wanted to make an oc ask game 😋 things i like to ask people abt their characters:

are they associated with a certain color? what color do they wear the most?

what sort of music would they like? have you thought about what genres or bands do they lean towards? do they have a favorite song?

weapon of choice? any particular reason they chose their weapon?

how crafty/resourceful are they?

how do they typically dress? does their wardrobe lean more towards practicality or aesthetics?

how do they wear their hair? do they care a lot how their hair looks?

favorite animal? why?

do they have a nickname? who gave it to them? if it's not derived from their real name, what's the story behind it?

favorite food? least favorite? are they a picky eater? do they have any dietary restrictions?

if they wear jewelry, what kind? do they prefer silver or gold? do they have a favorite gem?

what do they have in common with you? how are they different? would you get along with them?

how long have they been around? do you know their birthday? is their birthday the day you made them or another day? what do they think of celebrating birthdays?

what languages do they speak? how fluently?

are they any good with numbers?

how big or small is their family? who did they live with growing up? do they live with anyone now?

do they have any pets? what do they call their pets?

how did they spend their summers/free time as a child?

their opinion on lying, stealing, and killing?

are they quick to anger? what sets them off?

if applicable, can they drive? if they have their own, what color is their vehicle? is the inside neat and tidy, or a mess?

their favorite place to be?

do they sleep well at night?

how would you describe their voice? can they sing?

do they have any creative hobbies? (art, writing, music, etc)

how good/bad is their hearing? what about their eyesight?

how do they move? are they clumsy? light on their feet? do they use mobility aids?

if applicable, do they have a favorite sport? do they play any sports or prefer to watch?

how do they show that they care about someone? how do they express that they don't like someone?

are they associated with any particular element (air, earth, fire, water)?

do they smell like anything notable?

do they like receiving gifts? giving gifts? what is their ideal gift?

do they have any habits that aren't particularly self-destructive, just maybe odd?

if applicable, how would your other characters describe them? i mean specifically the people around them.

how would your character describe themselves? it doesn't have to line up with how they really are.

do they ever return home?

me and @azures-grace have been chatting, and i’m just curious to see if anyone would be interested in joining / making an elder scrolls discord server dedicated to TES ocs? i know a handful of people who would, and i think it’d be awesome to branch out and meet more people.

How To Create an Altmer Full Name

There's an ESO quest where you need to discover the full name of an Altmer NPC so an orc can challenge him to a duel. The guy's name turns out to be

Lirendel Rumilion 'len Inecil Culanarin Salolinwe 'ata Piryaden-Itelnoril Hilnore Firlamil 'cal Ternerben-Nivulirel

Putting terror into everyone with an Altmer OC from Summerset. Most people don't even try to make a full Altmer name.

So I'd like to share an easy formula Syllisjehane developed for making your own Altmer full name. She thinks it runs

(Given Name) 'len (mother grandfather grandmother) 'ata (father grandfather grandmother), 'cal (family surname)

as that quest details:

Prior to the duel, both parties must recite their adversary's full name—taking care to call upon matrilineal, patrilineal, and clan honorifics where appropriate.

Canonically, "ata" means father and 'calan' means clan. "Lenya" probably means mother. (It's from a fan-made lexicon, but ESO seems to be referring to it here with the abbreviation 'len.) An example of how this works in practice. Here is the family tree I created for Elenwen in my stories.

She belongs to the Kinship of Shimmerene, for which I made up a clan name, Alatasele. (Hall of Light).

Therefore, Elenwen's full name is Elenwen 'len Ilantuwe Ceryintar Karinith 'ata Morandur Teliantar Estendil cal' Alatasele.

The drawback to this process is you need to come up with at least eight separate names to name one Altmer, but it can be a lot of fun to whip this out on occasion.

I have questions about the fics 🙋. Have you posted your fics? Are your 7 fics based off an oc dragonborn with Remiel and the main storyline of skyrim? If your fic is about your dragonborn with Remiel, are there other followers in the fic as well. Or are the fics more like one shots? Is there Nebarra and Xelzaz. (may not be a die hard Nebarra and Xelzaz simp but who knows 🤷‍♀️ I could be). What are the fics about technically?

I really love Remiel's dialogue with my other followers because I see how much emotion is put into the followers relationships.

I know I haven't finished some of her quests due to the maintenence update and me having to restart my game, but when I'm ready I'm definitely gonna do another playthrough where I finish all her personal quests.

Why is Taliesin's full name so LONG? I looked on the elder scrolls wiki and couldn't find any particular naming scheme for Altmer names, or maybe I was looking in the wrong place? How is an Altmer name decided???

There are Altmer out there that have longer names than ol' Tally! :D

From what I've read, and this article helped out with putting Taliesin's name together, the names of parents and grandparents are added onto the name of the child.

Taliesin ‘len Merrian Eiloale Aralian 'ata Runiel Tenaale Curmonil 'calan Atronnayne.

"ata" means father, "Len" probably means mother, while 'calan' means clan.

Taliesin's last name is Atronnayne.
