We have decided and announced for IGA Level 3 ::
FIG + BROCCOLI : RACOON SIMULATOR!
very excited because this is the pick I prototyped and we ended up going for it! Team liked the concept which is nice cause I worked hard to make something entertaining -- it has now evolved a little where you are a country racoon named Fig, who needs to rescue your friend Broccoli. A lot of work to do but I am excited! I've already started on the racoon model and soon rig!

New Games~
Recently got into the third level of IGA game dev program that focuses on publishing. We have a good team and excited to work with a few familiar faces from the IGA discord! I may also be putting together a 3D Skeleton workshop so others may be able to make some 3D characters move. more updates to come. c:
so far the we've decided on unity and to release on possibly itch and mobile. excited to share more as I'll be incharge of most of the art / anm / vfx for it. Possibly another 2D game this time around by also have joined with two of the jammers from the previous jam to put together a pitch for a second game program that would be in 3D as well. Looking forward to being busy for a little while.

Well! I pulled an all nighter for this game jam. & I can't sleep right now because of anxiety! I'm going to wait till someone builds the project because they need to do some UI at the end for the win screen. We did our best and Im happy with what we made! I'll share with Tumblr a little later!

After a break and a lot of tutorials I started work on All in Your Head again yesterday! I think I have a better handle on how to proceed with the game. So to start I was going to texture all of the assets we made previously. Turns out basically none of them are uv'd properly. I can do it myself but I wanted to get started on mechanics so I ended up using temporary assets from the marketplace. These things are all a bit toony but I wanted to at least try to make some of the things that you can interact with. Anyway hope to get the original static meshes in there with proper uvs soon because my friends worked hard on them. More to come and maybe a screenshot tomorrow cause I'm writing this from my phone on a whim in the middle of the night.

shane player's flashlight that is currently hurting himself along with the ghosts and with that you wouldn't be able to get past level 2 with him which i think is kind of funny but also a no go
I want to get parallaxing backgrounds working
Particle effects for the ghost death
particle effects so the player is more attracted to the npc grave stone
particle that will fall and bounce off the ghost so you can get a sense where it is.
target indicators so you know what direction you should be going.
visual cues in the 2nd and 3rd levels so you have an idea of what direction to go / what can be jumped on.
Add some sound FX to the game: character, npc talking, enemy noises.
Winning Sound and Death sounds
Finally gotta find some bg music for levels 1 - 3 because i dont really want to use the same one each time.
okay so update on my to do list. shanes flashlight ended up breaking A LOT of things. BUT ITS FINALLY WORKING. and i uploaded it and now is being playtested by at least one of my friends xD
I did find sounds when i needed to shift my mind off of the issues so all i have to do is edit the sounds if they are too long and bring them in, so i put it in bold because those are definitely gonna happen. A colleague of mine gave me the video she had watched on parallaxing backgrounds so i'm gonna try to do that today. everything else not bold is going to be the very last thing i attempt as those are just coll design features i'd like.

I still have monday but once i get shane's flashlight working properly I'm trying to get some play testing done. I've recruited a few of my friends for now. toying with the idea of asking some more people as well lol.

I haven't decided on if i was going to make updates but theres still two more levels to decorate. (need a job so thats why its still up in the air; i had a lot of ideas i ended up cutting back on.)
