Neuer Zollhof (Gehry Buildings), Düsseldorf. April 2025 As I sketched, a food delivery driver, who was parked next to me, came over and said a sketch will cost me 3 Euros.  A local came over to look at the sketch. I said the windows were very tricky to draw as they were on curved walls and positioned diagonaly. I bumped into her later and she checked how I’d managed to draw them. She joked if she saw me yet again, she would make another check.

Window Cleaners in Fürstenwahl, Düsseldorf. April 2025 I will be having an exhibition together with street photograoher, Andy Vetter, in October this year. We will be showing our work from six German cities. Andy already had the photos from the six cities we had chosen. For me, DDüsseldorf was still missing, so I spent a weekend in the city to sketch.

Rounded Corners. Heleba, Düsseldorf. April 2025 As I sketched, some locals asked me if I was planning on digging a hole in the pavement. I was sat in the middle of neon sprayed utilites markings on the pavement. I told them I had no idea and showed them that my fineliner was a different thickness and colour.
