          at hearing her thanks, elijah set down one of the waters next to her and then took a seat. memories of the text charani had showed him flashed into his head, but he wasn’t sure if he should ask more about it right now. it seemed like too stressful a time and he was sure that bonnie was only trying to help before. no need to stress her out more. ❝oh, uh, thanks. and thanks for the warning you texted charani. i’m doing the best i can right now. how are you holding up? ❞ knees up to her chest and beanie over most of the top of her head. it just seemed like something was bothering her or at least making her nervous.

          there’s still sleep in his eyes as he turned to listen to ebony. sleep in his eyes, maybe but, his mind’s been awake for a while now. there’s a thrum in the back of it that grows louder the longer he looks at the dark skinned girl. her compliment earns her a half amused look from morgan, however, the dark haired boy reaching up to absent mindedly muss with his hair while his other hand typed something out on his phone. thanks. the smile is small and crooked but, still there. yours looks nicer.

she can’t help but giggle at the untamed tresses and at morgan’s attempts to rectify their mess  .  but she loves it  ,  truly she does  .  his comment though has her blushing  ,  heart stuttering a beat because    --   oh  ,  gods  ,  her beanie fell off  ,  hadn’t it  ?   she’s panicking a moment  ,  sifting through the covers until she feels that familiar knitted material  ,  slips it over her head to conceal that unsightly menace  .  tucks it down below her ears to avoid protrusions  .  much better  .  ❝  sorry you had to see that  ,  ❞  she mumbles bitterly  ,  fidgeting with the loose strap of her lace bralette  . ❝ i know that thing is a little  .  .  .   horrifying  .  ❞  (  her laugh is bitter and coarse  ,  potent disdain saturated in bronze hues  .  )
