ⶠThey're too hard on you, boy, Jailco for @brokenvirgin
Oneshot || *No Warnings Apply* || 4.6k || Rating: T
A few concerned glances meet around the roundtable before Mel advises the council to continue as scheduled. Once Silco finishes his update, the tension in the room releases. Jayce speaks last, as the last to join.
And then the meeting promptly ends.
No one brings up Jayceâs obvious indisposition. Obvious, to Silco anyway. His proud stance droops. Heâs rubbing his temples every couple of minutes, like with a headache. Air rattles in his throat, though he doesnât allow himself to cough.
Jayce Talis is sick.Â
Or: Silco is witness to the ridiculous circles Jayce Talis has to do to get medicine, and helps him get better.

Chapter 3 update: "Hound"Â
It's Vander's POV of events in young Jayce's life, with some extra things here and there.... ;) Progress Day is looming
Link to chapter â¶ïž [Here]
ⶠZaunite Blue, Role Reversal AU
Multi-chaptered || *Graphic Depictions of Violence* || Rating: M
When Jayce was twelve, his father taught him that they should always help the less fortunate, to put hammers in the hands of the people, and be proud of their work. Jayce reminded himself of that, after losing him. All he had to remember his father by fit in a small trunk. When Jayce turned eighteen, he made his first breakthrough with Hextech. For Zaun. (Without any relation, when Powder turned eighteen, she earned the title Woman of Progress.)
Instead of staying topside, the Talis family takes their business where it's needed: across the bridge. This doesn't just alter the course of Jayce's life. Or: A Jayce-Jinx Role Reversal AU.

Hello @27dragons I saw your tags on this post and spent more or less the entire intervening time thinking about it. This is not exactly that but I do hope it captures the general vibe we're talking about/that you enjoy it regardless đ
Silco smirks as he produces a tattered sheet of paper from the inside of his jacket.
Heâd seen the way Jayce tensed up. The fear. Probably knew all about the knot in his gut over thisâall of this, this meeting, the situation, Silco himself. Silco himself, whoâs smaller than Jayce thought heâd be. Who seems bigger than he is.
âItâs difficult, isnât it?â Silco says before Jayce can unfold the paper. His gaze darts up and down, assessing. The smirk remains, shifting slightly, as he takes another step forwards. âAll those people relying on you,â he adds, voice low. It rasps like velvet against the back of Jayceâs neck, and he grits his teeth against a shiver.
âAnd you never asked for any of it. You never wanted any of this,â Silco continues, low. Gentle, almost. Hypnotic.
âLook at you,â he goes on, pursing his lips, turning his gaze to Jayceâs face now. âBarely more than a boy, and the whole world set on your shoulders because no one else would step up to bear the weight. A snow white lamb being offered up as sacrifice to an uncaring master. War demands so many, and offers so little in return. Iâm old, Jayce,â he says. âIâm tired. But you are far too young to look even more exhausted than I feel.â
Jayce swallows as Silco places a hand on his lapel again, smoothing it down.
âI thinkâŠâ Silco says, eyes glinting as they search Jayce again. Jayce focuses on the ruined one, dark, reflecting the light so it looks like it glows from within. âI think itâs all very unfair on you, and I think you know that. I think youâd like someone else to take the weight, for a little while.â
Blood pounds in Jayceâs ears. Yes. Yes, more than anything. He wants to rest. He doesnât want this to be on him. He doesnât want to be the one left holding the world up.
âIt isnât fair, Jayce, what theyâre asking of you,â Silco continues. âThink about what theyâre really protecting. Think about why theyâre leaving all this up to you. Think about how disposable you were before you were worth a thousand times your weight in gold. Then think about those demands. Think about setting the world down. And think about who might treat you as though you were worth something even if there was nothing you could give them but yourself.â
Silco plucks the paper out of Jayceâs hand, folds it, and tucks it into his pocket.
âCome see me, when youâre done thinking,â he says, with a final assessing look. âNo rush.â
â
Itâs dark when he enters Councillor Silcoâs office, slipping through the door like a fugitive. Nervous, still, that someone will see him, that theyâll know.
The moment the door closes behind him, his shoulders slump with relief.
Silcoâs splayed out on his spindly velvet couch, rolling a glass in one hand. He looks at Jayce, and his lips twitch into a small, welcoming smile.
He beckons with his free hand, one single finger, and Jayce goes, nearly stumbles, drops to his knees as he reaches the couch and buries his face in the older manâs lap, muffling a relieved sob against the familiar texture of his trousers, breathing in his scent.
âShh,â Silco soothes, elegant fingers slipping into Jayceâs hair, sliding down to stroke the back of his neck, cup the curve of his skull protectively. âItâs all right. You did so well today. Iâm very proud of you. You always exceed my expectations.â
Jayce breathes in, then out, then in, filling his lungs, emptying them. All the tension of the day drains out of him through Silcoâs fingers.
The weight lifts.
Like it always does.
Like he promised.

before you stab someone: THINK!
how can you make it Tender?
how can you make it Homoerotic?
how can you make it Implicitly intimate?
how can you make it Noticeably a metaphor for sex?
how can you make it Kind of gay?

it would be cool if websites let you be an adult on them. the advertisers and payment processors need everything to be Family Friendly though and their definitions of family and friendly are absolutely fucked. but since they're in charge of the Internet now, no one is allowed to be an adult. tiktokers say things like "unalive" and "seggs" because they know death and sex are too adult for online. online is for idiot babies only now because they're easier to market to

ⶠ"Ride it like A Rodeo" Jayce x Silco
for @brokenvirgin || Oneshot || 2.6k words || *No Warnings Apply* | Rating:Â E
âHold on,â Jayce still reels, âLemme check if I heard that correctly. You want me to sit on your face?â Silcoâs unconcerned nod somehow makes Jayce more nervous. And the immediate eye roll, more fearful. âSilco, Iâm a heavy man.â âI hadn't noticed,â the man drawls unimpressed. âOkay,â Jayce gives in, because Silco doesnât ask Jayce for things like this. âI just have one request then.â
Or: Jayce finally gets Silco to wear an eyepatch. For sex!

ⶠ"Let it Be, Let it Be" Jayce x Silco
gift for @brokenvirgin || Oneshot || 2.9k words || *Chose Not To Use Warnings* | Rating:Â E
Heâs drifting, truly, in a deep, cozy fog. Safe. The door creaks. Jayce doesnât twitch a muscle, despite the thrill that instantly thrums in his heart. He drifts more. He swears he hears a murmur. Someone, talking. Silco? Here early? Jayce internally smiles, and his face crawls to show it. Gods, but heâs so tired. Unconsciousness has him gripped in its talons. It threatens to pull Jayce under. No not yet...
Or: Jayce comes to find rest and solitude in The Last Drop. He doesn't realize that the hands touching him aren't familiar â but fortunately, Silco is there to righten any wrongs.
