Would you
Follow my heartbeat
Wherever I am?
Would you
Talk to me in gestures
And ease my pain

I care, you know. I care about the little things, like the song you’ve got on repeat, or that bug you spotted and thought was funny. I care that you just stepped out of the shower, warm and calm. I care when you're out with your friends, smiling in the sunlight. I care when you're sad, even if you don’t say a word. I care about how your meal tasted, or the quiet love you hold for that one obscure character from an indie game no one else knows. I even care about whether you’ve had enough water today. I care about it all. I always will.

I was crying in public places
Giving parts of myself to the wrong people
Loving the ones that could not love me at all
Grieving the ones that hurt me the most
I saw happiness in many cases
Losing, believing and losing again
Parts of me vanished forever
I see them in others from time to time
The space between is still giving me faith
Hopefully I'll lose it soon
Recovering from the dreams I got used to
The ones with him holding me tight
No gentle words for the forsaken and strangled
Air was suddenly a suffocating chore
An ace of spades played under the table
I'm happier and I want to see it no more
