a/n: I am 5’4 so I know that he would absolutely relentlessly tease his s/o who is shorter than him.
: reader has a hobblegrunt named Sparkflare
⚠️ : This takes place in HTTYD: The Hidden World and Snotlout is apparently 5’6
❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙❧☙
Pʀᴇ-Mᴀʀʀɪᴀɢᴇ Cʜᴀᴏs:
Everyone Saw It Coming… except Hiccup. Your brother is somehow always the last to realize you and Snotlout were even a thing.
You and Snotlout had a fiery dynamic — full of playful bickering, teasing, and mutual dares that often ended in dragon chases or awkward falls off cliffs.
He absolutely adores how short you are. Snotlout is obnoxiously proud of the height difference, and not shy about leaning on your head or calling you nicknames like:
“My fierce little firecracker”
“Tiny terror”
“Viking pocket princess” (you hate this one)
He proposed dramatically, of course — possibly mid-flight on Hookfang, shouting, “Marry me before I crash into this cliff!” Spoiler: He didn’t crash, but you said yes out of panic… and then meant it.
Tʜᴇ Wᴇᴅᴅɪɴɢ:
The ceremony was loud, crowded, and exactly what Snotlout wanted: fireworks (literally), boasting speeches, and him flexing every five seconds.
You, however, kept things more grounded — choosing simpler décor with traditional bridal decorations and braided flowers.
He cried when he saw you in your wedding outfit. Actual, real, silent tears.
Hiccup was not okay. He kept pacing and muttering, “This is fine. It’s fine. She’s marrying Snotlout. Fiiiine.”
Tuffnut caught the bouquet. Chaos ensued due to the twins fighting for it. Poor Fishlegs got involved
Mᴀʀʀɪᴇᴅ Lɪꜰᴇ:
Snotlout LOVES calling you “my wife” in every conversation. “Have you seen my wife?” “My wife says I’m strong.” “My wife can lift a mace and looks good doing it.”
He’ll crouch down dramatically just to be at eye level with you, and then poke your cheek like, “Boop. Married boop.”
Back hugs. All the time. Your height makes it perfect for him to wrap his arms around you and rest his chin on your head.
He brags to everyone how tough you are, especially if you decked a dragon trapper or scared off a wild boar with nothing but your boot.
You steal his shirts. He pretends to be annoyed, but secretly melts every time he sees you wearing one.
He keeps buying you ridiculously tall furniture “to encourage growth” — like shelves you absolutely cannot reach. He always ends up lifting you to get things.
“Babe, you need me. I’m your personal ladder.”
You counter by tying things just out of his reach with fishing wire. It becomes a prank war that lasts years.
Wɪᴛʜ Dʀᴀɢᴏɴs:
Hookfang is surprisingly gentle with you — even bowing his head to your level when you pet him. Snotlout acts jealous.
Your dragon, hobblegrunt named Sparkflare, and Hookfang have a love-hate sibling rivalry. Much like their riders.
Double dragon flights become your favorite date nights — Snotlout always racing you, trying to out-trick your maneuvers, but secretly adoring how fierce and skilled you are in the air.
Sᴀᴘᴘʏ Mᴀʀʀɪᴇᴅ Lɪꜰᴇ:
He genuinely thinks you’re the most beautiful thing to ever walk Berk. Yes, even when you’re yelling at him or tossing a helmet at his head.
Despite his bravado, Snotlout gets soft when you’re alone. He’ll hold your face gently in his hands and murmur things like:
“You’re the best thing I’ve ever done.”
“How’d I get this lucky?”
In RTTE, it shows how Snotlout would go of his way to seek his father’s approval, even if it leads to problems. He would do the same to seek your approval.
You’re his anchor. You know exactly how to pull him back when he spirals into insecurity behind his showy exterior.
And when you’re overwhelmed, he scoops you up like it’s nothing and holds you until the world calms down.
Bᴏɴᴜs:
Hiccup eventually comes around and admits, “You two are weird… but weirdly perfect.”
You and Snotlout definitely prank Hiccup all the time. It’s how you bond.
Your kids (if you have any) will be the shortest, loudest, most chaotic mini-Vikings ever (would be best friends with any of the children the twins have in future with their lovers) I wish fishlegs the best — and Snotlout will love every second.

𝐆𝐚𝐧𝐠’𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐒/𝐎 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭:

⚠️: I was half-asleep when I made this so excuse any errors. 🙂↔️ it might also be short since I have no energy.

𝐇𝐢𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐩 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐈𝐈𝐈:
Completely fascinated. As someone who’s obsessed with learning, Hiccup would ask so many questions about your customs and any new potential dragons.
If you speak Spanish, he’s all ears. He’d try to learn it too — but absolutely butchers the accent and grammar at first.
Builds a book titled “A Brief Study of Southern Tribes: Language, Lore, and Dargons” just for you.
He even tries to train Toothless to respond to Spanish commands. It doesn’t go well, but Toothless does learn to respond to “¡Vamos!” with a playful growl.
𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧:
Respectfully curious, but plays it cool. Astrid values strength and spirit, so if your culture has a rich warrior history or bold traditions, she’s super impressed.
Lowkey competitive about your dragon commands in Spanish. If you say stop in Spanish and your dragon stops midair, she’s immediately trying it on Stormfly. Doesn’t work.
If you teach her any phrases, she uses them sparingly but effectively. Might casually say “Te tengo el ojo” (I’ve got my eye on you) to Snotlout once and leave him speechless.
𝐒𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧
Instantly thinks it’s exotic and romantic. Starts trying to say things like “Hola chica” or “Mi amor” but he’s absolutely saying it wrong.
Claims he knew he was “part Spanish Viking on his great-great-uncle’s side.”
Tries to rename Hookfang something Spanish. Probably something like “Fuego Maximus.”
He gets a little jealous when you speak it with someone else because he can’t understand it.
𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧
Becomes obsessed with your culture’s food and history. He’d want to learn about your homeland’s dragon classifications, if they differ from the Barbaric Archipelago.
Will 100% create a “Cultural Exchange Festival” on the Edge just to highlight your heritage.
Starts integrating Spanish names into his dragon notes: “This class of dragons is known to the southern tribes as El Ardiente Rugidor…”
Has a mini panic attack trying to roll his R’s (same😭)
𝐓𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐧𝐮𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧
“I KNEW I had Spanish in my soul!” Claims he fought some fearsome Spanish Vikings, which is a complete lie.
Starts making up fake Spanish words and insists they’re legit.
Wears a cape, calls it a “matador cloak,” and challenges chickens to duels.
Still can’t say “quesadilla” right.
𝐑𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐧𝐮𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧
Calls Spanish the “language of sass and passion,” and she’s here for it.
Insists you teach her swear words first.
Tries to flirt in Spanish — but gets distracted and starts making up her own language halfway through.
Wants your culture’s version of face paint or warrior braids and will absolutely overdo it.
𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐬:
𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫
Extremely respectful, loves hearing your stories, especially about family traditions or songs.
Curious about how your people treat dragons, especially if there’s a difference from the berkians and berserkers.
Might even try learning some Spanish lullabies if you hum them.
Shares what little she knows about other distant tribes and wonders if they’re connected.
𝐃𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝
“SPANIARDS? Are they enemies? Allies? Pirates? I’ll fight them. Or drink with them. Or both.”
You’d have to explain that no, your ancestors are not out to challenge him to a duel.
Gets weirdly competitive trying to learn Spanish so he can “intimidate in multiple languages.”

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐈𝐧

Now the fallout begins, with a mission gone wrong, a second kiss that reveals more, and feelings that are finally too loud to ignore.
⚠️ : the last part is almost done.🙂
‼️ : lazy?😭 idc
Hope y’all love it! (☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞

The morning after the kiss was… complicated.
You were already up when the others gathered at the Edge’s lookout tower. Mistbreeze was perched nearby, calm and frosty as ever. You, on the other hand, were pacing.
“Trouble at Northern outpost,” Astrid said, glancing at everyone. “Two dragons missing. Smoke seen near the cliffs.”
Your stomach knotted. You didn’t look at Hiccup, though you could feel him glance your way.
“Let’s split into pairs,” he said. “Astrid and Snotlout, take the west side. Fishlegs and the twins—take the shoreline.”
“And me?” you asked, too quickly.
Hiccup’s voice came out a bit firm. “With me.”
Of course.
You kept your expression neutral, but inside, your thoughts were louder than Snot during a molt.
He remembers. He has to.
But he hasn’t said a word.
Did it mean something to him? Or just another heat-of-the-moment thing?
Mistbreeze nudged your side with a low snort, as if sensing your storm of emotions.
You mounted up, muttering, “Let’s just find those dragons.”
༻༺༻༺
Midflight…
The silence was unbearable.
Toothless and Mistbreeze flew side by side like they had for months, but you and Hiccup were as distant as Berk and Valhalla.
Finally, he broke it.
“So… about last night.”
You blinked. “What about it?”
“The kiss.”
“What kiss?” you replied, tone flippant.
He sighed, sounding a bit annoyed . “The one where you kissed me like it was no big deal and then walked away like you didn’t just melt my brain.”
You turned to look at him now, really look. “Maybe it didn’t mean anything.”
“Did it?”
“…Maybe.”
He stared. “That’s not an answer.”
You frowned. “You want an answer? Fine. I kissed you because I didn’t know what else to do. You saw right through me, Hiccup. And I just… don’t like being vulnerable.” You let out an annoyed huff, not know how to respond.
His brows furrowed, eyes softer now. “Then why not let someone see you? Really see you?”
“Because every time I do,” you said, voice lower now, “they turn against me.”
That shut him up.
༻༺༻༺
You landed near a ravine where the trees had been scorched black. Hunter tracks were everywhere—boots, wagon wheels, broken chain links.
“This is fresh,” Hiccup muttered, crouching. “Maybe a few hours old.”
You nodded. “Mistbreeze smells sometimes,” you said, glancing at Mistbreeze who is sniffing a specific area. “Not much. But enough.”
You followed the trail into the woods—and that’s when the trap snapped.
With a sudden clang, a net launched from the ground and ensnared Mistbreeze. She roared, thrashing, icy breath spraying wildly.
“Mistbreeze!” you screamed, rushing forward.
But that’s when Ryker stepped from the shadows.
“Well, well. Thought I recognized that dragon,” he sneered. “And look who’s here… got a new dragon rider, eh?”
“Let her go,” Hiccup growled, blade half-drawn.
Ryker grinned. “Make me.”
Toothless charged, blasting a plasma bolt that lit up the clearing. You and Hiccup ducked behind a fallen tree, hearts racing.
“This was a trap for us,” you breathed. “They weren’t after random dragons—they were after us.”
“No kidding,” he muttered.
You pulled a dagger from your boot. “I’ll go right. You distract him.”
“Why do you get the fun job?”
“Because I’m better at it.” A tint of arrogance hinted in your voice.
Despite the danger, you caught the small smirk that tugged at his lips
༻༺༻༺
The fight was chaos—plasma blasts, frost fusillades, and Ryker yelling orders like a madman.
You managed to slice Mistbreeze free. She turned, snarling, protective instincts kicking in.
“Time to go!” you shouted to Hiccup.
He vaulted onto Toothless, blasting back a pair of hunters as you and Mistbreeze shot into the sky.
You didn’t stop flying until you reached the cliff ledge north of the Edge—your usual secret meeting spot. The one with the view of the sea and the wind so strong it stole your thoughts.

You dismounted, adrenaline still pulsing, pacing the ledge as Mistbreeze cooled herself behind you.
“That was too close..,” you muttered.
Hiccup stepped toward you. “You okay?”
“I will be.”
He nodded, then added quietly, “You were incredible.”
You scoffed. “I almost got us caught.”
“You also got us out,” he said. “You kept your head, freed Mistbreeze, and took Ryker head on.”
You turned away from the compliment like it physically hurt. “You can stop now.”
“I’m not trying to flatter you.”
“Then what are you trying to do, Hiccup? Because honestly, I can’t figure you out either. One second you’re dodging my sarcasm, the next you’re looking at me with so much admiration in your eyes.”
He was quiet for a long beat.
Then he stepped forward.
“I look at you like that because I do admire you..,” he said, voice low. “I’ve never met anyone like you. Not Astrid, not any Rider. You don’t just ride dragons—you breathe with them. You move like the sky’s part of you. And you make it impossible to think straight when you’re near.”
Your throat went dry.
“I kissed you,” you whispered.
“I know.”
“And you let me walk away.”
“I know,” he said again, stepping even closer.
“And now?”
He didn’t answer with words.
Instead, Hiccup reached up, cupped your face, and kissed you.
Not fast. Not careless.
Long, slow, and deliberate.
Your hands gripped the front of his vest, pulling him in. His thumb brushed your cheek, grounding you in the moment as everything else fell away.
When you pulled back, breathless, he rested his forehead against yours.
“You’re a storm,” he whispered. “And I’m done trying to outrun it.”
A Few Days Later…
Things weren’t easier after the kiss. You were still you—mischievous, sharp-tongued, a little chaotic. Hiccup was still trying to keep the Edge in one piece.
But there were changes.
Like how he always waited for you before flying now.
Like how your hut seemed to end up with twice as many tools “borrowed” from the forge.
Like how Mistbreeze had started curling up beside Toothless in the evenings.
And like how, when you thought no one was looking, you let your guard down around him. Just a little.
Because you still weren’t good at saying how you felt.
But Hiccup understood you didn’t need words—not when your actions said it all.
Like how you patched his broken belt strap without him asking.
Like how you covered for him when Astrid nearly caught him sneaking out of your hut.
Like how, every time you walked into a room, he smiled like he couldn’t believe his luck.
༻༺༻༺
At the clubhouse, stood you and Hiccup, enjoying each other’s company.
“You’re still trouble,” he said bluntly, leaning against the wall as the sun dipped low.
You sipped from your mug, smirking. “And you still like it.”
“I do,” he said, dead serious now. “Way more than I should.”
You looked at him then, really looked. The boy who once saw through your mask. The one who didn’t try to change you—just stayed long enough for you to drop the act yourself.
“You’re trouble too, you know,..” you whispered.
He raised a brow. “Me?”
“Yeah. You’re the only one who’s ever made me want to stay.”
With that said, you placed a hand on the back of Hiccup’s neck, pulling him into a kiss. Hiccup immediately rests his hands on your waist, pulling you closer.

I forgot this to post this yesterday 😅

I don’t remember what episode it is. I think it’s s5e4, called “Snotlout’s Angels.” Basically where Tuffnut says something in Spanish after Hiccup says Snotlout is like a chicken and Tuff takes offense to it.
So that got me thinking, if there are Spanish Viking tribes or other groups that know Spanish. Because they can’t possibly know Spanish without meeting someone who does.
And now I want to make small head cannons of the gang reaction to their s/o being of Spanish descent or something like that.

𝑯𝒊𝒄𝒄𝒖𝒑 𝑯𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑯𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒐𝒄𝒌 𝑰𝒍𝒍 𝒙 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓

Constantly messing with Hiccup brought you joy. While an encounter with Ryker, one impulsive decision reveals more expected…
⚠️ : a bit of OOC? Idk this is old. It was my drafts for a few months
‼️ : none that I know of
I hope you love this trash that I made months ago! (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)

If there was one thing Hiccup Haddock learned from being leader of Dragon’s Edge, it was that peace never lasted long. Especially not when a certain someone was involved.
“Is that a dragon?” Snotlout gawked from the cliffs of the Edge, pointing up at the icy blur streaking through the clouds. “Or is that a flying avalanche?”
From below, a sharp gust of cold air hit the island as a pale white dragon dove out of the sky in a fast, spiraling descent, wings tucked tight before snapping open at the last second.
The dragon landed with a thunderous crash, less of a graceful landing, more like a statement.
And riding her, with wind-blown hair and that telltale smirk, was you.
“Hope I’m not late,” you said with an arched brow, sliding off Mistbreeze’s back like you’d done it a thousand times, which you had. “You lot said noon. I’m only five minutes early.”
“You call that a landing?” Hiccup stepped forward, arms crossed, but his eyes couldn’t help trailing over you. You were infuriatingly stunning in his eyes.
“I call it flair,” you shot back, brushing dragon dust off your riding leathers. “You did say the Edge was missing a bit of style.”
Astrid coughed pointedly from behind Hiccup, murmuring, “He said structure, actually..”
“Structure, style, what’s the difference?”
༻༺༻༺
You were trouble. Not in the reckless “The twins blew up the training grounds again” kind of way, but in the “Hiccup couldn’t stop thinking about what you’d pull next” kind of way.
And that was a problem.
Because you had history with Dragon’s Edge. You weren’t from Berk, you’d grown up on a neighboring Island just outside of the archipelago, always more comfortable on messing with people than be tie down doing something you hate. Hiccup first met you during a snowstorm in the Northern Reaches, when Mistbreeze nearly gave Toothless frostbite. You’d been on your own then, dodging Dragon Hunters and carving out your fate.
He’d never forgotten you. And now, months later, you were back—answering a call for help Hiccup hadn’t realized he’d sent.
༻༺༻༺
The problem was, you were good. Too good. You outmaneuvered the twins in the air, beat Astrid in sparring (only once, but still), and had a way of getting under Hiccup’s skin like a splinter he couldn’t dig out.
“Where’s my designated hut?” you asked sweetly, slinging your saddlebag over your shoulder.
Fishlegs pointed nervously. “Uh… to the left of the clubhouse. Next to Hiccup’s.”
“Perfect,” you grinned. “Close enough to steal tools. I mean, borrow.”
Hiccup groaned. “You’re going to drive me insane..”
You winked over your shoulder. “Just returning the favor.”
༻༺༻༺
Hiccup couldn’t sleep.
He sat in his hut, tools spread out but untouched, staring at the fireplace while Toothless snored softly behind him.
Your laugh still echoed in his head—loud from dinner earlier, when you’d tricked Tuffnut into catching an eel by convincing him it was a new type of Terrible Terror.
He should be annoyed.
Instead, he was smiling.
“Hiccup,” came your voice, suddenly too close.
He jolted upright to find you leaning against the doorway, one hand on your hip, Mistbreeze’s eyes glowing faintly behind you.
“You do keep weird hours.”
“You sneak up on people.”
You stepped in without an invitation, as always. “Mistbreeze spotted hunters near northern outpost. Thought you’d want to check it out.”
He stood immediately, brow furrowed. “Why didn’t you say something earlier?”
“Because I wasn’t sure. She just caught a whiff of something odd, smoke, oil. Might be nothing. Might be trouble.” You said as you looked at the scattered tools on the table.
“Trouble,” he muttered. “Your favorite word.”
You shrugged, lips twitching. “Comes with messing with others.”
༻༺༻༺
Toothless and Mistbreeze flew in perfect sync, their silhouettes barely visible against the silver clouds.
You and Hiccup flew in silence for a while, cold air nipping at your cheeks. Then you glanced sideways and smirked.
“You’ve been quiet.”
“Just… thinking.”
You raised a brow, before speaking, “That’s dangerous.”
He exhaled through a laugh. “You make it hard not to.”
You winked at him. “I’m flattered.”
“You shouldn’t be.”
“But I am.”
That made him glance at you, really glance. Wind tousled your hair, moonlight tracing the edge of your jaw. You looked like you belonged up here. Like the sky answered to you.
And that thought hit him harder than he liked.
Soon you landed on a narrow outcrop whole snowy . Snow crackled beneath your boots as Mistbreeze gave a low growl, prowling to the ridge.
“Definitely fire..,” you muttered, crouching beside a set of tracks.
Hiccup knelt beside you, brushing frost from the iron grooves. “Dragon Hunter chains. Fresh.”
“Looks like they just left.”
He nodded grimly. “They might be scouting again. We’ll have to report this tomorrow.”
You didn’t move.
He glanced sideways. “Something else on your mind?”
“Not really,” you said, eyes distant. “Just… sometimes I forget what it’s like to have backup, considering I was alone before I met you..”
The words surprised him. soft, unguarded.
“You’re not alone here,” he said quietly.
You smirked again, but this time it didn’t reach your eyes. “Don’t go getting sentimental on me, Haddock.”
“Too late.”
You turned to him sharply. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
He stepped a little closer. “It means… I see through you.”
Your breath caught.
“I see the jokes, the trouble you stir up, the whole act,” he said. “But underneath it, you care. A lot more than you pretend.”
“And what if I do?” you challenged, voice low.
“Then that makes two of us.”
The silence was thick. Your heart pounded loud enough that Mistbreeze flicked her ears behind you.
You looked at Hiccup, really looked. And for once, you didn’t throw back a joke.
Instead, your voice was quiet. “I don’t let many people in.”
“Maybe you don’t have to let me in all at once,” he said, stepping even closer. “But maybe stop trying so hard to push me out.”
You stared at him.
And then, because it was you, and you were nothing if not chaotic…
You reached up, tugged gently on the leather collar of his vest, and kissed him.
Just once. Quick. Soft.
A blink.
He blinked too.
You pulled away before he could speak, brushing past him like nothing happened. “Come on, Hiccup. We’ve got trouble to report.”
But Hiccup just stood there for a second longer, dazed, the ghost of your lips still burning against his.
༻༺༻༺
You arrived back at deck of the stables. You landed quietly and took Mistbreeze’s saddle off. Placing it on a rack, before leading your dragon to her stable. Once Mistbreeze is inside, you gently shut the door.
You then start toward your hut like nothing happened. But before you reached the door, Hiccup caught up to you.
“You kissed me.”
“Don’t get cocky,” you said without looking back.
“I’m not trying to be., just trying to understand.”
You glanced at him, a flicker of challenge in your eyes. “Then try to keep up.”
You disappeared inside your hut, the door shutting behind you, leaving Hiccup standing in the dark, thoroughly thrown off, completely off-balance, and absolutely sure of one thing:
You were going to be the death of him.

This had like three parts😭 so I will just proof read them and post them in the mean time😃👍

"𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐖𝐞,𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐤𝐲"
𝑯𝒊𝒄𝒄𝒖𝒑 𝑯𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑯𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒐𝒄𝒌 𝑰𝒍𝒍 𝒙 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓

The moment that changed everything..
⚠️ : part two of “𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐤𝐲”
‼️ : reader has agriffin named Stormmist, bit spicy? and idk what else🤷♀️
Enjoy!! \(⁀▽⁀ )/

There were places even war couldn’t touch.
High above the sea, carved into the cliffs by centuries of wind and rain, was one such place. A narrow ridge hidden by overgrowth and mist, invisible from the sky unless you already knew it was there. You had found it months ago on a reconnaissance mission, a half-forgotten alcove of sky and stone and silence.
It had become yours. And, somehow, his.
Tonight, the world was asleep, or pretending to be. The fog rolled low over the ocean like a held breath. The moon glowed dully, caught behind a veil of clouds. And your heart… well. That never rested anymore.
Stormmist landed first, barely a whisper on the wind. Her wings tucked in close as she touched down on the stone, quiet and waiting. You slid from the saddle, your boots hitting the ground in one fluid motion, but you didn’t move toward the ledge. Not yet.
Because you felt it, the ripple of presence, like a second heartbeat in the air. Toothless arrived a few seconds later, landing with a soft grunt, his glowing green eyes flashing once in recognition.
And there he was.
Hiccup stepped out from behind his dragon, half in shadow, half in moonlight, and entirely too much all at once.
He looked like he hadn’t slept, curls messier than usual, tunic slightly rumpled, his flight vest undone at the collar. But his eyes… they found you immediately.
“I wasn’t sure you’d come,” he said softly.
You tilted your head, keeping your voice even. “I said I would.”
“I know,” he said. “But saying something and doing it… those haven’t always matched up between us.”
A pause. And then you gave him a look, sharp at first, then gentler as your lips softened into something like regret.
“I’m here, Hiccup. That counts for something, doesn’t it..?”
He didn’t respond at first. Just stepped closer, the space between you narrowing until you could feel the quiet heat of him, not quite touching, but close enough to set your skin alight.
“I haven’t stopped thinking about that night..,” he admitted, voice low.
“Me neither..”
“And I’ve tried,” he said, breath catching just slightly. “I really have. Tried to make sense of it. Tried to remind myself why it’s wrong. Why it’s dangerous. Why we shouldn’t—”
“Then don’t,” you said, stepping in just an inch closer. “Don’t remind yourself. Don’t talk yourself out of this again.”
He stared at you, like you were something he wasn’t allowed to want, but did anyway.
“Do you even know what this is?” he asked quietly. “Because I don’t.”
You swallowed. “Maybe it’s not something we can name.”
Silence stretched between you like thread. Taut. Shivering.
Then, and only then, did he speak again.
“I wanted to kiss you.”
You nodded once. “I know.”
“And you wanted me to.”
“Yes.”
“So why didn’t we?”
You drew in a breath that tasted like fog and salt and him.
“Because if we had… nothing would’ve been the same after.”
“And now?” he asked.
You looked up at him, truly looked, and let the truth fall free.
“Now I’m tired of pretending it doesn’t already feel different.”
That cracked something open in him. His shoulders dropped the way they did when he let his guard down. His hands twitched at his sides. His jaw tensed, then softened. And his eyes, green and glassy and brilliant, locked onto yours with something like unspoken gravity.
He stepped in fully this time.
His hand rose, hesitant, then curled softly around the curve of your cheek. You leaned into the warmth without thinking.
“I shouldn’t,” he whispered.
“I know.”
“But I want to.”
“I know,” you breathed.
And then…
his mouth was on yours.
It wasn’t explosive.
It wasn’t rushed.
It was slow, deliberate, like the way light stretches across the sky at dawn. Like something careful, tender, built on ache and months of almosts.
His lips moved against yours with a patience that said this wasn’t just a kiss.
It was a confession.
Your fingers fisted in the leather of his vest. His free hand slipped to your waist, pulling you closer, holding you like something he didn’t want to lose. Like something he already knew how to miss.
The kiss deepened with the kind of hunger that had nothing to do with need and everything to do with knowing, knowing how rare this was, how fragile, how easily it could all disappear if either of you let go.
When you finally broke apart, it wasn’t because you wanted to.
It was because you had to breathe.
But neither of you pulled away. Your foreheads pressed together. Your hands stayed curled in the fabric of each other’s armor like anchors in the dark.
“I’ve wanted that for so long..,” he murmured.
You let out a shaky laugh. “Then why did we wait this long?”
His smile was small. Sad. “Because it wasn’t safe.”
You traced your fingers over the edge of his collar. “Still isn’t.”
“Do you care?”
You shook your head slowly. “Not anymore.”
Another beat of silence. Another breath caught in the space between want and reason.
Then he said, “Let’s sit. Just for a while.”
You followed him to the edge of the stone, where the cliff dropped off into open air. You both sat with your knees pulled up slightly, backs curved toward one another, shoulders brushing. Stormmist and Toothless stayed curled near the wall, half-asleep, barely breathing.
You looked out at the ocean, endless and black.
“I used to think I had no choice,” you said quietly. “That I’d always be a Grimborn. That I had to stand behind Viggo no matter what.”
“You don’t,” Hiccup said gently.
“I know that now..,” you whispered. “Because you showed me...”
He turned his head, looking at you.
But you weren’t finished.
“You never looked at me the way everyone else did. You never treated me like a trap. Or a pawn. You looked at me like I was a person. And that made me wonder if I actually was one.”
“You are,” he said. “More than anyone I’ve met.”
You met his gaze, and this time, you kissed him.
A slower kiss. Softer. But just as full of heat and wanting and the unbearable hope that maybe, just maybe, this could work.
You ended up half in his lap, both of you not wanting to break away, your knees tangled and your breath completely stolen.
“I don’t want this to be the last time..,” you whispered against his mouth.
“It won’t be.”
“You don’t know that.”
“I do,” he said. “Because I’m not letting go of you.”
You kissed him again for that. For the way he said it. For the way he made it feel like something you could believe.
When you pulled away, hours had passed. The stars had shifted.
Your griffin stirred behind you, sensing the change in time.
You rose slowly, brushing your fingers along Hiccup’s hand before stepping away.
He stood too, watching you mount Stormmist with the quiet reverence of someone who didn’t want to say goodbye.
You looked down at him once more, your heart in your throat.
“Next time?” you asked.
He nodded. “Soon.”
Then you were gone, your griffin leaping into the sky with a gust of wind and silver mist, vanishing into the stars.
And behind you, on that ledge high above the sea, Hiccup stood with his hand still warm and his mouth still tingling and the quiet knowing that tonight had changed everything.

So I will put this on hold as I have other ideas I want to post. I might make one or two parts of this, but when I gain the motivation. College classes are about to start next month, so I will be busy

𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒕𝒆 being Viggo’s sister and an enemy, you and Hiccup still meet in secret..
⚠️ : i deleted the post of reader being gothi’s assistant and whatnot, cuz I didn’t like the plot or anything about it.
‼️ : grammar and spelling errors, English not my first language, lazy, reader has a griffin named Stormmist, probably doesn’t make sense, takes place during rtte.
Enjoy!! ٩(ᐛ)و part ll

You were different from your brothers, well from what you knew. Now it may sound cliché, but it’s true. You didn’t like hurting dragons. Hunting them, selling them.
Although, nobody knew of your true feelings or they simply didn’t care. Regardless, you didn’t kept it hidden from your family and village.
You guys were the perfect siblings trio. The dream team, some would say.
Viggo, the brains. Ryker, the brawn. And you, the beauty.
Viggo did care for you, truly. Ryker, on the other hand, it was questionable at best. Your parents were proud of having you three as their children. You would be used as bait on every mission since the day you turned fifteen.
From that day, you were seen as nothing but a pretty face. Although, your brothers knew you were more than that.
By the time you were seventeen, you were so used to pretending. Always wearing a mask, never finding your true self.
༻༺༻༺
All of that changed when you met him, Hiccup Haddock. He intrigued you when he didn’t fall for your flirtatious comments like any man had in the past.
Hiccup immediately saw you as an enemy when Viggo introduced you as his precious sister. You two met when the dragon riders went to go save Heather.
He saw you when you were scouting, looking for any of the riders. You spotted his head poking out behind some bushes. You just snickered and walked away.
”How pitiful, and here I thought we could talk more.” you stated with fake sweetness, walking around the frozen boy and his dragon. The Flightmare did prove useful, but deep down, you didn’t want to harm it.
“Oh well, until next time, Haddock,” you said with a shrug. You then walked away, leaving the boy and dragon alone for whoever or whatever to find them.
༻༺༻༺
Hiccup could see right through your mask. He saw how you would hesitate, before regaining your composure and firing arrows at them.
You talked to Heather when she was locked in the dragon cage. She was the only one who could understand you. After all, you’re were both related to enemies of the dragon riders. Though, your brothers were far worse than Dagur.
Heather would try to convince the dragon riders to give you a chance. After all, this was the best shot to take down the dragon hunters. You could act as a spy, but you would have to be very careful. After all, Viggo’s intelligence is not something to take lightly.
༻༺༻༺
Pʀᴇsᴇɴᴛ Dᴀʏ:
The night sky stretched above you like spilled ink, scattered with stars and the whisper of clouds. You stood on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean, cloaked in a hooded cape, your griffin sleeping silently behind you.
You’d told your brothers you were scouting alone. A lie, of course. But you’d perfected that long ago.
The gentle breeze made you shiver constantly. You were simply watching the fishes jump in and out of the water. Stormmist spent nearly the whole evening catching and eating fishes, occasionally some sea slugs.
Then came the soft, unmistakable hum of wings. Not just any wings.
Toothless.
He landed silently behind you, barely rustling the tall grass. You didn’t turn right away — you didn’t have to. You could feel his presence like the shift in the wind.
“No flirtatious comment?”, Hiccup teased, hopping off his saddle. “That’s very unlike of you.”
You smiled faintly. “Don’t get use to it.”
“Don’t plan on it,” he said, stepping closer. “So why shouldn’t I get use to it?”
You finally turned to face him, your expression softer than the words that followed. “If I were to flirt with you every time we interact,, Hiccup, it would lose its affect. I prefer to watch you stammer.”
His grin flickered, eyes scanning your face for a moment longer than necessary. “Fair point.”
A beat passed. Tension, charged and warm, crackled between you. It always did. That strange magnetism of two people who shouldn’t be standing this close — and yet always ended up here.
“I couldn’t stay away..,” he said finally, voice quieter now. “Not tonight. Not after what Viggo pulled this morning.”
Your fingers tightened slightly around your dragon’s reins, remembering the cruel trap your brother had laid out for a Deadly Nabber.
“I hated it too,” you admitted. “But I’m not my brothers, Hiccup…”
“I know,” he replied instantly, voice low and steady. “That’s why I’m here.”
A long silence. Just Toothless and G/n breathing. The sky waiting.
Then Hiccup stepped forward. “Fly with me.”
Your brow lifted. “Seriously?”
He nodded. “No plans. No missions. No spying. Just you, me, and open air.”
Toothless whuffed beside him as if to say finally.
You turned over to Stormmist, before walking up to her sleeping figure. You took off your cloak and covered her with it.
You turned back to face Hiccup, giving a slight nod.
“If anything happens to us and Stormmist wakes up, she has my cloak and can track my scent.”
༻༺༻༺
The takeoff was silent. Toothless was swift, smooth, and surprisingly warm against your legs. You were behind Hiccup, holding tightly at first, then slowly easing into the rhythm of flight.
The wind kissed your cheeks. The stars seemed closer up here. Neither of you spoke for the first few minutes. Words weren’t needed.
Then..
“Why are you really out here tonight?” Hiccup asked over his shoulder.
You answered honestly. “Because watching you risk everything, for dragons, for people, made me wonder what I’m doing.”
He was quiet a moment. “And?”
You stayed quiet for a few seconds, wondering what to say. You finally decided to give your real answer.
“I still don’t know…”
He didn’t push you. Didn’t judge. He just steered Toothless through a gentle arc above the sea, the moon’s reflection glittering on the waves below.
“I don’t know everything,” he admitted. “But I know that being around you makes things feel possible.”
You rested your cheek lightly against his back, letting your eyes close for just a moment. “Promise you won’t shoot me out of the sky next you and Viggo go up against each other?”
He chuckled softly. “Only if you don’t sabotage our outposts.”
“Deal,” you whispered.
༻༺༻༺
Toothless banked lazily to the right, riding the slipstream with ease. You had your arms loosely around Hiccup’s waist, the rhythm of flight calming your thoughts more than anything ever had.
And then-
A low, familiar screech tore across the night air like a blade cutting through silk.
You sat up straight, already smiling.
Hiccup turned his head halfway toward you. “What was that?”
You smirked. “Late to the party.”
A massive shadow swooped out of the clouds above you — wings outstretched, feathers shimmering silver-black in the moonlight. The sheer grace of it made Hiccup’s breath catch. Even Toothless chirped in surprise.
Your griffin.
Stormmist.
She circled once overhead before diving smoothly beside Toothless, eyes glowing like fireflies, talons glinting, her long tail streaming behind her like a comet’s tail. Her gaze flicked to you, then to Hiccup. She chirped with smug judgment.
“She doesn’t like that I left without her,” you said, grinning.
“I’m not sure I like that she can sneak up on me and Toothless.”
“She’s special,” you said simply. “Like Toothless. Just… pointier.”
Without a word, you nudged Hiccup’s arm, leaning in close behind him.
“Hold her steady,” you whispered, and before he could ask—
You stood on the saddle. Balanced. Wind whipping at your cloak.
“Wait—what are you—?”
And then you leapt.
Stormmist swooped beneath you at just the right moment. You landed smoothly between her shoulders, gripping the base of her neck, your legs sliding into place like it was second nature.
She shrieked in triumph.
Hiccup blinked, still stunned. “Did you just jump mid-air?!”
You gave him a cocky wave. “Don’t fall behind, future chief!”
And then you took off.
༻༺༻༺
Stormmist shot forward like a bolt of lightning, slicing through the sky in fluid, sweeping arcs. Her wings barely made a sound, unlike Toothless, who growled playfully at the challenge before launching after you.
Hiccup leaned forward, already shifting his stance. “Alright, bud. She wants to race? We’ll show her how we do it.”
Toothless kicked into high speed, his tail fin shifting with precision. The air rippled around him as he gained on you, barely.
You looked over your shoulder, hair flying wild around your face, eyes glittering.
“You’re slow!” you called over the wind.
“You cheated!” Hiccup shouted back.
You laughed, heart pounding with something more than adrenaline. Stormmist tucked her wings and dove low, skimming the tops of the trees. You heard Toothless behind you, following the same line, always right on your tail.
It wasn’t just a race.
It was flirting. It was fire. It was two hearts testing each other in the sky, free from rules and names and bloodlines.
༻༺༻༺
You and Hiccup finally pulled up beside each other, breathing hard, dragons gliding effortlessly as the trees became cliffs and the cliffs gave way to the sea again.
The wind was quieter now.
Your eyes met across the short distance.
He was flushed, eyes shining, hair wild from the wind.
“You know…” he called out, voice softer now. “For someone who’s supposed to be the enemy, you make flying feel like freedom.”
You tilted your head, smirking. “Maybe you’re just finally flying with the right person.”
And for a moment, in the moonlight, with nothing but wings and waves below you, that truth hung between you like a promise.
Stormmist landed first, her talons touching down in a smooth, almost feline prowl. The gravel scattered beneath her weight as she slowed to a halt near a quiet inlet of the sea — just out of sight of the Riders’ outpost, but close enough to feel like forbidden territory.
Seconds later, Toothless glided in behind her with a proud chirp, wings pulling back sharply as he landed with a heavier thud. He shook his head, clearly unimpressed with finishing second.
You slid off Stormmist’s back, boots crunching softly on the pebbled ground. Hiccup dismounted more carefully, his prosthetic clicking faintly as he hit solid earth again.
Your companions exchanged a low rumble, not quite hostile, not quite friendly, and padded off toward the waterline to drink, leaving you and Hiccup alone beneath the moonlight.
The silence wasn’t awkward.
It was full. Thick with everything unsaid.
You turned toward him, arms crossed lightly over your chest, not defensive, just steadying yourself.
“You almost caught me,” you teased, but your voice had softened. “Almost.”
He looked at you, that crooked half-smile tugging at his lips, but his eyes were sharper. Warmer.
“You jumped from my dragon in mid-air,” he said. “That should be cheating.”
You tilted your head. “I call it initiative.”
“You’re ridiculous.”
“You’re just mad I won.”
He stepped closer, just a foot away now. “No. I’m mad because I’m supposed to be watching you. Treating you like the enemy.”
You raised a brow. “And yet here you are. Flying with me. Chasing me.”
“I’m not just chasing you in the sky, you know.”
That hit you in the chest like a gust of wind. For all your confidence, your training, your carefully sharpened words—that made your breath catch.
You didn’t move.
Neither did he.
The air between you charged, more than sparks, more than heat. You could feel the gravity between you shift. His hand lifted slightly, hovering near yours like he was waiting for permission.
Your eyes locked. His were green. You were sure he could hear your heart.
You didn’t even realize you’d leaned in until your nose brushed his. So close. Too close. Not close enough.
Your breath hitched. His hand touched your waist, gentle, grounding.
Then—
“HICCUP!”
Both of you jolted apart like struck by lightning.
A voice. Astrid’s.
She wasn’t near. But she was close enough.
You looked at each other, breathless, wide-eyed.
Toothless raised his head from the shore. Stormmist let out a low growl, not threatening, but warning.
“I should go..,” you whispered.
Hiccup didn’t answer right away. His hand lingered near yours.
You stepped back. “Next time… don’t let me win.”
He smiled. It was soft. Knowing.
“Next time, I won’t.”
“One last thing,” you exclaimed, climbing onto Stormist’s back. Hiccup raised a brow, signaling you to continue.
“Be careful, Chief. You’re falling for the enemy.” A small smirk plastered on your face, putting your cloak back on.
He grinned. “I’m already there.”
And then, like mist in moonlight, you were gone, soaring into the sky on Stormmist’s back before Astrid ever saw you.
Leaving Hiccup alone with a pounding heart and the taste of a kiss that almost was.

Tbh, this was a bit a hard to write. I feel like it’s lazy and doesn’t make sense 😭. Some feedback would be appreciated.
