Hi, it's me again 😊 Thanks so much for answering me last time. Now I wanted to ask you a new question, but first… I wanted to tell you something.

I was reading one of your replies to another user below, and honestly, I was a little surprised by the attitude some people are having. I completely understand that we're all excited about the AU and the lore but that doesn't justify some people pushing or demanding progress as if it were an obligation. And everyone has their own life outside of social media! I say this with respect, Okie. That said, now for my questions—and I promise they're not meant to be pressuring, but out of pure curiosity 😅:

Do you have a rough estimate of how long the next animation might take? I know the previous one took you around 4 months (if I'm not mistaken), and while that's a considerable amount of time, the result was so incredible that it's perfectly understandable. I was wondering if you already have in mind how long the next installment might take, or at least when we might see it.

If so, which characters will it focus on more this time? I know the previous animation had a good balance between characters, but will it focus more on Deity and Brutus again this time? Or maybe we'll see more interaction between Deity and Mr. Ford? And don't worry, no spoilers needed! A little hint or general idea is enough for me 😊

Uh not sure? it might take me a couple of months again, probably longer cuz i think i burnt myself out good time with the last one 😅... HOWEVER! Animatics arent the only thing I plan on doing.

I wonder if Bill and Brutus' relationship could have been toxic, both from Brutus and Bill. Brutus could have not spoken to Bill for weeks and then completely locked him away with a ritual, but Bill constantly showed that he was superior because he was God, I didn't quite get it because I don't understand English very well, but Bill penetrated Brutus' "personal space", even rebuilding his body. Even when Bill was locked up he was yelling at Brutus to let him out. Brutus was someone he thought would help him achieve his goals. Bill probably doesn't realize he can hurt Brutus, but he can. I just don't know, we're looking at it from Bill's perspective, maybe there was some toxicity there, maybe not.

I mean... put two egotistical characters together and see what happens

Yeah, he just makes sure he doesn't bring harm upon Ford's body when he takes it out for a joyride. He thinks it's only disrespectful if the person doesn't consent to their body being used

Hey FazFuri, I’ll be honest, your AU is easily becoming one of my favourite fixations at the moment, you and your friends have done so much work and it’s amazinggg.I wanted to know how you feel about people adapting these designs, or even people composing cosplays/costumes of your characters that you’ve made? I have a friend who has an idea for something like that, but wasn’t too sure how you’d feel on that sort of thing, so I ask for them. Considering Gravity falls is such a large fanbase, and it’s got a lot of cosplays, but none of course of this AU, that I’ve seen myself. So I wondered if it was a boundary of you guys’ or is it just simply not been asked before?Also- I keep seeing stuff about Patreon, when I have the money I’ll definitely be subscribing to support, I wanted to know if there’s a lot on there that’s not super public right now or just some bits and pieces, like more lore?

A couple have already cosplayed deity before!!! And i friggin love it, its an honor to have ppl cosplay my AU 😭💜 if anything im so flattered ppl took the time to use their skills and have dedication to crafting my designs like HHHNNGGNG

As for the patreon, i forgot to mention, theres bits and pieces of lore that hasnt been revealed in public yet because theres a lot to take in. Like out of context art that led to my patrons to wonder when/why/how it happened. It will be revealed in the future tho, just shown differently. i just kept it there cuz my ass is impatient

And do you think if Deity had been female, - a goddess instead of a god-, everything that happened with King Brutus would have been the same? Or would it have been even worse?

I have no idea why I think there would be some difference, although considering the king's attitude, from me ig it would have been the same and more twisted just think about him being a bastard and also seducer, manipulating doing whatever he wants with his goddess, who would have taken it worse.(no stereotypes, ofc)

Funny thing is that he had a canon female form (once again exclusive content in patreon) 👀 so I think Brutus would still treat her the same

I wanted to know, and i apologise if this has been said already at some other point in time, but will you ever consider making StarFalls into something like full voiced episodes, even if only a few minuets long, or would they stick to being just music/voiced animatics? Either way, your art is gorgeous and this au you’ve made makes me so happy each time I see an update. I’d been seeing this before I even watched fully gravity falls itself.

I remember a comic when Ford dressed up as a King and Deity!Bill furiously says: "Should I make rain again" or something along the lines.

Was he refering about the new video portraying the betrayal or is something else in the future?

Yes, that's what the comic was referring to ^^ Brutus saying that is like a mockery of what used to be a symbol of love turned into something that brought pain, haunting the narrative and all.

OK so, this might seem really obvious-ish now that I think about it, but you said Brutus wasn’t noble/royal at the start. Add that with Warrior of the mind, it seems that they BUILT the kingdom, together. You can see them mapping blue prints for the castle and all that. ALSO the symbol of the flag is really similar to the crown he wear, and both have the blue four pointed star, WHICH deity has! So that could be sort of like… showing they built it together idk.

I love how you said the staff stabilizes deity and when we see them without you for too long you can see kind of glitches or smth.

anyway I remember the whole deity can read minds thing, but he didn’t see the betrayal coming thing so like… add that with the comment Brutus makes about thought privacy or whatever this implies that deity really liked him(duh) and trusted him enough to just… not. Read his thoughts? Sorry that seems really obvious.

Another thing that seems really obvious to me as I write it out is that almost all records of deity on earth disappeared . It feels like after the incident he purged all records because he didn’t want to be associated with it anymore. He didn’t want anything to do with earth anymore.

a question I have though is that we know deity doesn’t have a physical form (whole reason for the deal with ford) but, like, did that happen because of the incident/because of Brutus or did that happen when he ripped a tear in the space thingy in an attempt to get rid of his past?

1. The thing is, the kingdom was already built and there was a previous king before Brutus (exclusive art on patreon!) They just planned a way to improve it with Brutus being the new ruler and all

Hi Faz, been here a few times before, but never with my theories and I couldn’t help with the new animatic! I adore your work dude

First off, I couldn’t really understand what was said to shock Deity in Rain Dance, but I’m assuming it was some vile declaration from Brutus, prolly of war, especially with the smoke looking clouds and from Deity’s reactions. The handing him the staff and shouting, looking angry and maybe betrayed, then Brutus shaking his head. It looks like he did something that was a play for power mostly and Deity handed him his staff as a way of “I see. You just wanted to be on top.” But Brutus knew that wouldn’t be sufficient, so he played more into Deity’s emotions, pulling him in for the kiss. I am one of the ones who believes Brutus was never truly in love with or cared for Deity out side of him being a vital piece of a chess game pretty much, or he at least cared in his own sick way. But then when they were dancing again after, he had to take Deity’s staff and trap him, which makes me think that while Deity of free and can act on his will, he could easily rescind all power given to Brutus and that he knew, so he took away Deity’s free will to seize his power.

Now moving for Dr Pines and Deity, I love the similarities between Ford and Brutus, how eerily similar they are, ones just oblivious, and Deity can’t shake it either. Yet despite being betrayed and hurt in such a way by the past king, he can’t help but trust or care for the scientist that clings to him like a puppy and the look of terror on his face when Dr Pines fell and reaching for him so desperately, trying to save him even if it meant he’d fall down too, and the look of fear in the other, terrified he’s in actual danger and reaching for the god who seems to outwardly despise him. Also in the “Little Wolf” art, only one of Dr Pines eyes reflect Deity, so I’m think that while he can have full control, he elected to only half partial, letting Ford keep his autonomy, not want to take it from another. That or it could js be a design choice, I do like my theory more tho lol.

Now I wanna compare Brutus and Ford a bit more(I keep yappin, I love this au dearly), especially in the ways Deity seems to have noticed, and a few I have. In the Halloween art when they’re doing costumes, Dr Pines puts on a king costume, making his already startlingly similar appearance to Brutus even more clear, and calls Deity “my muse” which he uses as a term of endearment and honor/respect, just as Brutus used “my lord”. This is the first time I remember Deity being shaken by Ford because of his resemblance to Brutus. Then later on in the mindscape when he’s hold him as he naps, he has this hallucination almost, where he becomes Brutus, and taunts him. Says some like he can’t escape him, I struggle to recall rn lol. I see that as Deity’s anxiety and trauma twisting his reality, or maybe unveiling it, and forcing him to confront what he recognizes but doesn’t want to admit. And the in the April Fools anim(I have a feeling it was still incredibly crucial to the lore so it’s in my little mental notes and theories) Ford becomes Brutus, fully cementing the terrifying similarities almost as if he was a reincarnation of the other. This fully confirmed my blossoming idea of them being somewhat the same, like the two children Deity was shown directly interacting with in the “Come Little Children” animation. Likely a reincarnation, or maybe a distant relative. Another detail I noticed between them is their actions. Their bold and brash in two different ways, Brutus with his vying for power and Dr Pines with his thirst for knowledge and experience, both seeking it through Deity, though only one absolutely floored by it even now, still in a bit of disbelief that a god would come when he calls, even if he’s bound to do so. And while Ford does get a little heavy in his hubris at times, it’s never against Deity, but rather centered around him feeling untouchable because he has a god by his side.

And I did see someone else make the connection between Brutus and the song “Brutus” from the Butchresses(?) and I’ve gotta admit, that’s what I thought when I first heard his name. And I personally love the connection, just the songs lyrics in general like “I love you, and if you want, I'll call you king/But why do I lie awake each night thinking/Instead of you, it should be me?” And “My name is Brutus and my name means heavy/So with a heavy heart, I'll guide this dagger/Into the heart of my enemy/My whole life, you were a teacher and friend to me/Please know my actions are not motivated only by envy” and finally “This event will be history, and I'll be great too/I don't want what you have, I wanna be you” I find it really interesting that Brutus betrayed Deity, luring him with false promises of love and compassion and companionship, only to trap him and take the symbol of his power, blame it on him, and essentially usurp him. Kinda interesting, Faz…

Also are the Deity and Mr Ford accounts on Tumblr too or js twitter?

Well that’s about all I think, though I may come back one day and elaborate or throw more theories of mine at you, and I apologize for my long winded rants, I myself write often and can’t help but become descriptive and reach gothic levels of lengthy descriptions when I get to start abt something I enjoy, and Star Falls has done that!

WOW just WOW. I love your theories and analysis! It was a struggle to convey messages without dialogues or lyrics that show what the characters were thinking/saying, so the answer lies in their emotions. Some symbolism too instead of codes (cuz i like that it can bring up open discussions). I love ford sm so seeing him in this analysis makes me kick my feet and giggle ehe
