Blog On Hiatus

//Due to the fact I never get on, I lack muse, no one RP's with Felicia, and changes in TASM 2 I'm putting this blog on hiatus until further notice. I am not sure when I'll be back, I do plan on coming back as Felicia. But for now she's on hiatus.

The Positive Project

//The roleplay community is a wonderful place, we have our good times, our bad, we’ve had some hate fly around at times and overall I think this community could be made a happier place.

The shoutouts going around are great, but I think we need more. Instead of receiving anon hate, it’s time we have more anon love become a thing. Go say something about a roleplayer you like, admire, a good partner, or even better, someone new or someone you’ve never interacted with. Find something positive about them, and tell them! If they don’t have anon, I encourage we all send love anyways! They’ll really appreciate it! It’s okay to be shy, I’m really shy myself, but I’m going to push myself out of the comfort zone and do my best to spread more love.

Second thing we can do, send memes! Memes are so much fun, and if you do or don’t believe in reblog karma, see someone post a meme? Message them! If you’ve never interacted, give it a shot. Some of my best roleplays have come from someone responding to a meme, or taking part in an M!A. See someone post a RP want you’re interested in? Message saying you’re interested, bet they’ll love it! I know it can be difficult, and you can be scared, I’m shy as hell and struggle with social anxieties, I got the courage to message that I was interested in this RP want, and I haven’t regretted it. (But if it’s too difficult for you, don’t worry :3).

I think we too often wait around for change, that won’t get us anywhere, be the change! Be the one to get up and try it. I’m hoping to get the roleplay community involved in this, I’m from now on going to do my best to start taking part in this idea, I encourage everyone to give it a try. I don’t know if I’ll get anywhere, I’m partly afraid to find out, but I’m giving it a go, being this change. All I ask is you take a moment to send someone some love, ask their muse in depth questions, be that random anon that makes their day by sending a positive note, and ask them to do this for someone else, keep the love going! If you get a spark of love that makes your day, pass it along and do the same for someone else, and ask them to do it for someone. I guarantee it will make them, and you a lot happier.

When you notice that someone starts posting readmores in an rp

Reasons why being a RPing 'senpai' isn't as great as everyone seems to think:

People are too scared to ask you for threads.

People feel like they should be honored to talk to you.

Threads get dropped all the time due to the other half being to scared to reply and/or remind you about your thread.

People are intimidated by you. 

People think you’re competing with other roleplayers in your fandom, which in turn causes drama.

People put you so high on a pedestal that they end up questioning their own self-worth.

You hardly get interaction from new people.

Moral of the Story: It’s perfectly fine to look up to someone, but that doesn’t mean you should be afraid of them or put them on a pedestal. They’re human, just like you are. Talking to those people isn’t as hard as you think, 98% of the time they’re more than happy to talk with you.

Think twice before calling somebody a senpai.
