Savannah contemplated the question as if it was the most important she'd ever been asked. "Is Prince considered a cop out," she asked with a raised brow. "I mean, everything about his look was iconic, you know?" Sav couldn't remember the last time that she'd dressed up for halloween, but maybe she should start thinking about it considering she had a six year old who'd definitely want to partake in the holiday. "Or KISS. There's a reason those two looks still stand the test of time."

“Phew! Both talents of equal caliber there. How about a moment of silence out of respect...” Felipe bowed his head for a couple of seconds, resuming his search through the records after what seemed like the appropriate time. “I know Miss Shania is still with us, but I couldn’t not include her and her leopard outfit in there, know what I mean? What about Miss Flora?" The faint scritch-scratching sounds coming from Tabitha's companion could not and would not be ignored, "Feels like she could pull off a Joan Jett look, easy."

"Hmm, that's a good question. I think maybe I'd go as Freddie Mercury. In the black and white harlequin suit. That was such a cool look. I probably couldn't cut it as low, otherwise I'd be flashing the whole neighborhood. Ooh, maybe Shania Twain in the leopard outfit she wore for her music video! That's recognizable but not as... revealing." She said, adjusting her backpack as she looked at records. Flora was in said backpack, looking out the little bubble window.

“Not gonna lie, that sorta feels like a cop out. But I’m gonna let it slide. Only because it feels very on brand," Felipe nodded, content that he was able to get any answer out of his neighbor down the street. He had learned a long time ago the other was not a man of many words. Which is why driving home, whenever he’d spot Santiago on their street he’d give the truck horn a couple of generous beeps as acknowledgement. Whether he preferred that over small talk was a whole different matter. “I dunno, man. Get a lil pompadour action goin’, get yourself a guitar and people might get it. Then again who wants to carry a prop around all night, right? But, hey," Felipe pointed the corner of a record he held in his hand at Santiago, "You ever wanna head down to Siren's to bust out a little Man in Black, I. am. there." He returned the record back in the bin and continued his search. “You huntin’ or browsin’ today?"

Santiago was lost in his own little world until a familiar voice pulled his attention away from the stack of records he had been sifting through. A single brow rose as if to ask why he would need Halloween costume ideas, the two clearly having very different levels of Halloween spirit. Still, he decided to at least answer the question posed to him, "I suppose someone with a simple look that wouldn't take too much effort to pull off, like Johnny Cash, perhaps." At least he was honest about how much he was willing to put into a costume if he absolutely had to wear one. "Though, I don't know how recognizable it would at this point. However, I think I'd rather have to spend the evening explaining my costume numerous times than have to wear something more attention grabbing."

"Survey says..Ziggy's top three for sure. But hey, I'll take it," Felipe pulls out a record, not one from a band he's familiar with and he taps a corner on the palm of his hand. "Baby Spice..That was the one that was into sports right? Or was that the red head?” he frowned, brows furrowing in faux thoughtfulness as he quickly glances over the cover before placing it back into the pile, “I did a group costume once. But you really gotta make sure to stick together otherwise instead of Bea Arthur you’re just some grandma.” He had actually stopped by the record store in search of a last minute birthday gift for his youngest sister. The idea which came to him when she brought up the time he had lost her favorite Green Day album. Lost, gave away, it was too long ago to remember. Either way, he wasn't having much luck on his own."You wouldn't happen to have come across Nimrod, would ya?"

"I feel like Bowie has to be the obvious answer." Cleo shrugs, reorganising the records no one ever seems capable of putting back in the right place. "I did do Spice Girls with some friends one year, though. I was Baby Spice, believe it or not." For a moment, she glances around her, hoping no one who actually knew her had heard. There's a handful of people in her life that would have never let her forget admitting something like that — and a narrower few who might go as far as to find the pictures online.

“Hey, Briefcase full of Blues. Can I just say, one of the easiest Halloween costume ever,” Felipe held up the vinyl, showcasing the cover to the other person skimming through the records that afternoon. Way back in the day, the famous Blues Brothers look was the go-to costume. He still had the Halloween spirit, though nowadays it was easier just to buy a cheap mask the day of. He placed the record in the definitely buying pile and continued to browse, “If you had to rock a musicians look for Halloween who’d you pick? No cop outs here.”

BIO ▸

Las Vegas, NV ▸ Born to Gabriel and Valentina Feliz, Felipe is the oldest of four children. Being from a larger family meant that sometimes money was stretched thin but his parents made it work. Growing up, Felipe would get into his fair share of trouble, with his mom being called down to the school a handful of times. Sometimes it was because he was too disruptive in class, other times because he got hurt trying some stunt on the playground. It led to him being enrolled in soccer. He wasn't the best but it was something to keep him busy.

As a teen he had stopped playing sports altogether and wanting to keep him out of trouble, his dad started taking him to work with him during school breaks and Felipe began learning the in and outs of being an electrician. By the time he graduated high school, he had gotten used to the blue collar work and had managed to save up enough money to buy himself and old beater car.

Felipe kept working with his dad throughout college, moving out and trading in his his car for his pride and joy, a two tone 1977 Ford F-250 truck. When he wasn't in school or working, his free time was filled with a lot of partying on the strip and questionable decisions, including a brief marriage that was annulled within the week.

As graduation approached, his best friend offered him a job at his family’s real estate company. With no real direction when it came to a career, he accepted. In the following years, Felipe managed to buckle down, getting his licenses and building his own portfolio. In addition, he began getting into the business of flipping houses, using his knowledge and connections from when he worked in the trades.

While he managed to find his groove when it came to career, he found it difficult to get a handle on his personal life. A loverboy at heart, he would fall fast and hard, oftentimes blind to the fact that most were more interested in the money he was making. He met Soledad one night out clubbing and within years time, they were married. Their relationship was passionate as it was contentious, rarely finding a middle ground. During one particularly heated fight, he experienced a heart attack. The emotional aftermath which caused him to re-evaluate his lifestyle and spurred his decision to move out of the city.

Palmview,FL ▸ Two years after settling down in Palmview, he was mailing signed divorce papers back home. Soledad and Felipe had been separated for months already, with Soledad resenting that Felipe had returned to work as an electrician, giving up the big houses and lavish lifestyle for a slower paced life. Felipe knew he was just as much to blame from their relationship ending and left her with most of the assets back home.

It was while doing some electrical side work for the Highwater Arcade that he met the previous owners who were looking to sell. Using part of his own savings, he took ownership of the arcade and has been running it since then.
