Did I ever tell you guys about that dark HP au u thought about one night where young Draco just goes full 'lets support Harry Potter's rise as the new dark lord' because he thinks that Harry could in theory be powerful enough to cure this little girl Draco loves so much.

So Draco befriends Harry Potter in year one with the story about how the only person he loves is a little girl who is sick and even tho his family has all this money and power Draco's father won't let him look for a cure for 'Draco's pet doll' which Draco totally resents.

And Harry starts thinking that yeah adults suck because even Malfoy can't cure the person he likes. So when Dumbledore comes around trying to brainwash harry into doing things Draco is immediately like 'yeah but can Dumbledore cure a loved one for you? Can he bring back your parents? I say you tell him no, I'm pretty sure the man left you to rot at your aunt and uncle anyway '

So in the process of Draco teaching the chosen one how to stand up for himself and hopefully make plans to reshape the magical world into his creation. Astoria starts studying in Hogwarts and befriends Luna. Which means Harry starts having to hang out with them by default and starts liking Luna too.

And Harry likes that Draco is all shady except when he's with Astoria, who thinks Draco is the nicest of all boys ever (the only boy really, since other than Harry, Draco doesn't allow boys near his little obsession)

And Luna ends up being part of the package because while she recognizes that Harry is pretending to be nice and is actually turning evil, she never tells anybody. Simply because Harry listens to her and plays with her and treats her like she's very important in his life.

Cue years later, Harry successfully defeats Voldemort and goes full Dark Lord immediately with only Draco and Luna to realize he's pretending to be a hero.

but in reality he's just a worse villain than Voldemort because Harry has made people want to join his new world order voluntarily.

Of course as a reward for his faithful second in command, Harry uses forbidden arts to cure Astoria's sickness, knowing this makes Draco's loyalty unbreakable.

Luna realizes Harry is in fact a little insane way too late. When Harry goes full, 'Luna is the only one who loves me so she must be protected' in confinement spells and wards

Astoria lives in a isolated castle with Luna where they read and practice magic together but while Astoria has always lived in Draco's bubble of overprotection. And Luna talks to her creatures to pass the time. They're not happy to be kept in the dark. Eventually the dark lord and his second in command finish conquering the world and they are required to rule, along with their wives. Because the world is finally safe for Astoria and Luna to live in, according to Draco and Harry.

Which makes two kind and innocent women come face to face with the fact that they are both married to terrible villains.
