There's something beautiful about how diverse lesbian butches and femmes are.

There's no such thing as a wrong way to be a butch or a femme. It's all about identity and self perception.

I'm a femme, yes, even if I don't wear make up all the time, even if I don't have that many dresses and don't shower myself with perfume every time I go out. I'm a femme even if I'm hairy, have big arms and a deep voice.

Because being a femme is all about the femininity you identify with, in the less of traditional ways.

All of my traits and characteristics are femme, they're pure femininity. They're made for me and for other lesbians to admire. I'm the owner of my identity and there's no way someone can change the way I see myself because that's the true me.

And I think every butch and femme should feel the same about their masculinity and femininity. Own and love those things that make you feel less of a butch or less of a femme. There's nothing more femme or butch to stand for your identity when everyone is telling you the otherwise.
