DESIGN 3 ll Phase 1 -The code-
ll THE CODE: an exercise on architectural language
HAN SHARON was a German architect. He preferred to plan his designs using geometric forms, and he considered himself a devotee of organic architecture. Thus, these became the reasons why he included irregular forms throughout each building because he mainly designed the functions inside first then the exterior was followed. This allow each of his works to be unique and never the same as any of the others.

DESIGN 2 ll Project 2 -Neighbours- ll 2.2 Habitat
ll 2.2b HABITAT
The concept of my house is to have two zones, one public and one private. The public zone which has one floor, is space can be used to accommodate the owner's friends during parties or get-togethers. Once the party had ended, the owner can withdrawal back up the skywalk to the private zone. This area is located on the second floor, and it can be used for personal living and resting once visitors have gone home.

DESIGN 1 ll PROJECT 2.2 -ELEMENT WORLD: SPATIAL SEQUENCES-
-ELEMENT OF EARTH-
In this project, I made my element world using earth.   I built five separate spaces made from a different line of earth. The first line, which was the softest, was a type of sedimentary rock known as sandstone. The second through fourth lines were all metamorphic rock, and these included limestone, marble, and gypsum. The last line was made from granite, the hardest type of rock known as igneous rock. To create each space, Sandstone can be obtained using a chisel and hammer, limestone using TNT, marble using a cutting machine, gypsum using a drilling machine, and granite using ANFO. These all included diferrent types of texture. The experience for both people going to the last space took a total of 12 years, and the earth settled by itself to 6m. The two humans had to use more and more powerful tools in order to break through the later layers. One human had to use the drill, and the other had to remain on the top in order to remove the broken rock and earth.

DESIGN 1 ll PROJECT 2.1 -ELEMENTAL EXPERIENCES: experiments and instrumentation-
-ElEMENT OF WATER-
During this experiement, the element of water was tested by placing bread in a container and pouring 200ml of water into the container. The amount of water was recorded after 1 minute, 3 minutes, and  5 minutes. These steps were repeated with three types of bread: coupe au levain, soft baguette, and sliced white bread. The white bread absorbed the most water, whereas the coupe au levin absorbed the least amount of water. It can be concluded that the ability to absorb water is affected by the softness of the bread being used.

DESIGN 1 ll PROJECT 2.1 -ELEMENTAL EXPERIENCES: experiments and instrumentation-
-ELEMENT OF EARTH-
Project 1.3 was developed from Project 1.1 and 1.2, however I added  white and brown chipboard to develop the different setions of the rotating cube. In order to achieve movement, the field must first be removed. After this, each individual layer of  the cube can be rotated a full  360 degrees by manipulating  the cross-setion   in the middle. The fragments can be then pulled out away from the cross-section, and each individual fragment has the ability to rotate.

DESIGN 1 ll PROJECT 2.1 -ELEMENTAL EXPERIENCES: experiments and instrumentation-
-ELEMENT OF EARTH-
To test the element of earth, in this case the hardness of clay, a pin was added to conduct the experiment and was pressed downwards on with bricks. There were three different combinations in the experiment: just clay, clay with sand, and clay with rock. The plain clay was the weaest of the three, dropping to 3.7cm at its lowest, while clay with rock was the strongest mixture, its lowest being only 1.5cm.
