"Politics ain' never been my cup o' tea - - - " Frankly, the very idea of it agitates him but that was only because the majority of his experience of such had been through Ishgard and her vulgarities ere the end of the war - - and even then, it was tetchy at best. Perhaps things were different in Tulliyollal, perhaps they weren't - - Auri didn't pay too much attention all in all.

"Lemme come with y'---" He asks, though he knows the answer; just as he has asked countless times before since they'd met. He didn't like it when they were parted for long and though he knew she was able to care for herself and had company that could do much the same... he still worried. "I'll keep out th' way n' behave." For the most part.

Melody had to admit, it was nice to have Auri along for the ride in this strange and wonderful land. The colors alone were enough to have her constantly in awe, and she was more than happy to immerse herself in the new culture, picking out all the differences and similarities of home.

But at the end of the day, her favorite part was being able to return to his arms. Especially tonight, with her hand rested within his as they swayed together.

"I've certainly heard about your efforts." She comments, her smile proud, and her eyes glittering with affection. "I'm glad, too, that you've been enjoying our time here. I know the political situation isn't quite your cup of tea, but.. I'm relieved you decided to join us."

She quiets for a moment, leaning forward to rest her head against his chest. The warmth of the sunset and the sound of the waves of the ocean were calming.

"...I'll be traveling with the Third Promise and everyone else tomorrow, up river, from what I've been told. A little bit more dangerous than the other rites so far, but with all we've been through, I'm sure it will be fine... It'll be quite the distance though. I'll likely be gone for a few days..."
