He couldn't recall much, but this wasn't home and why was he here. Phone closely nearby with a scowl on his face, he wasn't someone who wanted to deal with anymore. Though there was something that beeped over and over again calling for him to do something. Looking at his phone as he walked down the sidewalk with his own business (lackthereof) in mind, words flashed upon the screen that alerted him that he was to buy dog food. The reason for that, even he wasn't sure but he was greatly appalled. He had no idea to retrieve meals ingested by the common house rat.
With it telling him to go to JP's was what he was unsure of, following the directions that were placed within it for the building should have not been created but much to his amazement, it was standing tall within this city he did not understand. As he walked towards it, eyes fell upon Shijima holding onto Kanno like a madman. A raise of his brow as the director crossed his arms, he was not fond of this action for everyone were grown, they could keep their hands to themselves.
❝Shijima, remove your hands from Kanno. This is no time and there will never be a time where you must engage in such commonfolk acts. You are under Hotsuin property, show your familiars some respect.❞ He would stay under his orders even while they stayed within the unknown, he didn't try to figure out what was wrong. To be immersed in a place where he held no recollection, he needed them all to be on their best behavior.
Tumblr media
❝Have you both decided to stop fooling around, we have much more important problems, why is this establishment even alive. It has no purpose. Who believed this was funny to do towards my family name.❞

It didn’t take much for the researcher to realize something to do with her mind had been meddled with. After all, it wasn’t natural for one to wake up in a city, under the impression that never before had they been there, when in fact their calendar showed that they ran on a schedule. Or, in her case, when it seemed that her files contained a lot of preemptive data on the research she had been conduction on the place so far. Most intriguingly, were the files related to those workers who were under her.
A branch of JP’s had been instated in this city, had it? Phone flipped open, it looked like there were indeed contacts who were fellow members of the group before; Alcor, Daichi, Hibiki, Yamato, all lined up as they should be. With a small click, the device was quickly folded closed again, her mind set to see one of their buildings for herself.
And, upon arriving, it was better than she expected. A random one — the closest — despite the possibility of it not being under her own management, was the one that the researcher had entered. Clean, respectable, she supposed. Though, it was still rather empty.
Tumblr media
"Hnn…" So far, it seemed that nobody had arrived. Either their members were slackers, they had also forgotten the existence of the job, or the group was sorely understaffed. Or, perhaps, a collection of the three. Whatever it was, Fumi wasted no time in her next venture; as if she was going to waste her time with something like this while still getting used to the city. So far as she was concerned, no memories? No problem. She did need some time to look over what progress she had already made in learning about this place though.
In regards to this, a note was taped to the front of the doors by the researcher, locking them as she left.
CITTA JP’S HEADQUARTERS
CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
If Hotsuin had a problem with it, he could take it up with her, but there was no way she was dealing with something like this right now. Shoulder brushing with someone who had seemed on their way to the building as she made to exit the premise, a neutral “Don’t bother,” was spoken as they passed. If it was an employee, she might as well give them warning of what to expect.

"Chief. . .I couldn't decide between the two so I want you to have both from me for Valentine's. They're really cute little rabbits, I'm sure you'll take good care of them. Whatever happens tomorrow, I hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day today, Yamato."
A gift? Another to be more exact. The 15th was Judgement Day, wasn't it? Sadly, he could only take the objects into his hands and with a short sigh think of the circumstances they were both in. The symbolic idea of these two rabbits had bothered Yamato a great deal,

"Bark!" The dog sits in front of you, a chocolate bar hanging out of his mouth. He wants to give it to you, his friend, for Valentine's Day.
This was so overwhelming, even Yamato had to reconsider turning the gift away. He had allowed himself to kneel down, inspecting what was given to him. He hands held out as he took the object from the dog without any sort of hesitation. Lilac hues glanced from left to right, wondering if anyone was around as he used his free hand to pat the other's head. One pat, two pat and three. He was unfamiliar with the day that everyone shared with others but he didn't mind it as of now.
❝I have nothing to give you. Hm..❞
Tumblr media
With those thoughts, he had broke the chocolate in half, holding a piece out to Koromaru. Maybe just this once, he could share. Happy Valentine's Day.

     ❝You'd most likely be dead.❞
His response given to the male's inquiry, what other fate and option was left. To return to nothing, his first step would be falling into a hole of nothing. A black pit that waited for him and yet-- that would be the last of him. Suppose that, even if he went back, what could he do if the world was still there, the stream had been used and even majority of the members that played a part in trying to stop those Septentriones were now within the city and other than that, few people were against Hibiki and some were with him. There were those few that chose loyalty and some who broke off in their own choice. So is this the choice the other wanted.
❝You'd lose contact with every person you made here.❞
Again, he gave his thought son the situation. What were the chances of letting the other back, none. ❝You will never be able to return to this city, Kuze.❞ A cross of his arms as lilac stared at the male, was he even thinking. Why did the director even care, his gain for Polaris was loss, there was that much left for him and yet.
Tumblr media
❝I never thought you to be the one to throw everything away. All the memories you've made here, you're getting rid of them. Did you hate your time that you had spent here?❞
He wondered why the Chief thought the way he did. Hibiki didn’t think he was completely wrong or that his points were invalid — they made sense but even despite that, there was just something that the older of the two couldn’t let go. Though Yamato had made a point to tell Hibiki he couldn’t save everyone, causing him to lower his gaze and frown and look towards his cellphone as if a death clip would appear…he wondered.
Everyone back home was waiting, weren’t they? Undoubtedly they were waiting for Hibiki, Daichi, for all the ones who had been taken here to go back home.
Now that the choice presented itself, wasn’t that the most logical way to go?

Though his choice didn't seem like the best, ❝Kuze, you live off of hopes and that false reality that there is always a way. I have seen with my eyes that things do not go as planned.❞ This was a slight mention of how gaining Polaris had failed, so the fact of going home to see a world was also a failed endeavor since he would possibly and most likely see nothing.
Tumblr media
As thoughts came to him, his own interest piqued.
❝Kuze, you cannot save everyone. Those people from before on our world are gone and for my comfortability, I am not but why go back to something that isn't there.❞
He thought so.
It was this notion that tore Hibiki. He wanted to go back home and finish everything that had been started. Though the Chief seemed resolute in his own decision and perception, the older of the two wasn’t completely convinced. There were a lot of factors in this, wasn’t there? A lot to be considered and thought of, a lot of to be certain of and to doubt.
There was a choice to be made here and there — but what was the right one?
“There’s no way of knowing what’s there or what isn’t.”

Again, Fumi came with that quick mock of her voice, closing his eyes, not this shit again. It was quickly disregarded from her words, who was to know what was at the end of those doors people had the choice of using. What they did was not important to him but the point of his home was more so, contemplation as he allowed this to settle within his thoughts. Eyes finding themselves laying upon the female,
❝A shame, no matter, isn't something that can be fixed now.❞ To think about the time where he was so close to achieving his goal and it being ruined. He was here now and that ideal was long gone. She seeing it as a shame felt so disgustingly like pity which brought the younger to override her thoughts with his own.
Tumblr media
❝Polaris, it was almost achieved and yet.❞
"It’s not a difficult conclusion to draw, and you aren’t normally one for flattery. And besides, they could lie but death alone is unlikely. Not all worlds were deemed useless as ours was, and nothing useful would be recorded by a simple trick like that." At least, that was how she viewed it. They could lie about the trip home all they wanted and it wouldn’t be her concern as one who didn’t care for the place, but to lead them to a permanent death? Pointless. The possible data that could be collected for it wasn’t worth it when compared to what they could save for the future for being honest.
There was a single thought that lingered for her, however, and a smirk came across her face as she remembered it. A meritocracy would be nice, but she had achieved enough in the current system not to mind it.
Tumblr media
"It’s a shame about your plan for Polaris though, Chief."

It seemed that he wasn't the only one who thought the same, the male only giving a nod to the female's words as she no more than mused to herself. She possibly couldn't care less who heard her, she was always that way. There were some who gained Yamato's respect because of this and then there were some who he didn't really care about. A step forward, ❝How is it that you understand the most important things, I do believe you only cease to amaze, Kanno.❞ Though, he knew better, they were both those that looked for survival and even indulging in that of work, why leave it behind to return somewhere that had nothing left for them. The director couldn't recall much and his business had possibly been swallowed by the dark mass. Clasping his gloved hands together,
❝Nonetheless, it could all be some plot to kill off those that are the weakest, why drag us here than allow us to be free? Death could be awaiting behind those doors.❞
Tumblr media
He knew the rules, and so did she. His words stated as he awaited for her simple judgement, he was sure she would say something worthwhile.
So… she could leave or she could stay.
Tumblr media
The decision didn’t even take a moment’s thought. The resurrection system, interesting as it would have been to study, wasn’t a dealbreaker. As things were her own home had been destined for doom — or at least a last stand — a few days after her departure at most. The likelihood of it being more than a void behind her own door was slim to none. This city wasn’t entirely ideal, but any conditions under which she could survive and research were better than death. Any other citizens who stayed behind as well were ideal subjects to research.
"Hnn. I wonder if they’ll return the full extent of our powers to those who stay…"

Lilac hues made their way to give some time to stare at the other, taking in his features and reading his facial expression. There was't much to read other than the fact his decisions seemed conflicted but at the very least, he found a decision. By his inquiry on the director's choice, it was enough to bring him recalculate his option and yet-- it fell back down to the fact that since there was nothing there, nothing back home, there was and no reason to return. Fumi had even spoken these words a long time before given the short amount of time that was stated. They had even left from his lips once.
Tumblr media
❝How could you expect any different? You only want to return to a manifestation of your dreams, there's nothing left.❞

The light that came from the side of the house, Yamato gave a raise of his brow. Even he couldn't have believed what was in store for them. With Fumi, he knew that this would only be an easy task, for what much could it do. Maybe if he got the chance, Cerberus could kick the monster back into it once more. Hopefully the city would send them some repair bill because of this situation. Contemplating what could be done, the achromatic male took a step back, watching at the lump of brown fur had gave an exhale of breathe, frost showing that it had did so.
Wondering if they could just ignore it, the mammoth would not allow itself to be overlooked, with a shift on one of it's sides did it stomp down on the ground and in moments had the whole area began to shake but not as worse as they would have thought. It seemed that this monster had abilities towards the ground but if the snow wasn't enough that bothered their vision was the slow mist that started to appear as a breath of snow appear from it's nostrils that made the air thick and heavy. Looking towards Fumi (before even the fog had allowed her shape to disappear) as he wondered what it's plan could be.
❝Kanno, I have yet to ask you. What demon do you have on you as of now, depending, I'll take the offense and you take defense.❞ Squinting, since he wasn't able to see wherever the Monster had went, he wondered was it watching them from afar. As troublesome as that was, he pulled out his own phone in wait. Though, he was use to giving orders, they would have to make sure that since having been cut off from Daichi and Hibiki that they were on their own. Who knows when the mist would let up but their accuracy would lower.
Tumblr media
If he was to risk his demon as of now, he could hardly care less since Daichi was their trump and even Hibiki could pull miracles. But to allow a great mind to be done away with was hardly something he thought about doing. If there was any punishment for Fumi, something like this would not be exacted out on her or him. So as he brought out his own phone, he listened for something, it being the crunch of snow to warm him where the beast could have been hiding. Even at that time, with the roar of Byakko, the Piloswine took the offensive to blow to run towards them in order to tackle but with a few clicks of his phone did a barrier appear. Allowing the attack to be blocked but it indeed did push the chief back. The snow used as something to back him up, he was a bit miffed that it would use sound to it's advantage.
Phys Repel had it's uses, this being one of them as the Piloswine slinked quickly back into the mist. It's roars being heard from an unknown area as if it was calling for something.. Or maybe it was just calling out. Though, making out the sound had Yamato spoke, ❝What does.... "Pilohswyine" mean?❞
hee ho { permafreeze
To the researcher, splitting up was of relative, rather than absolute importance. In any case they would need to accomplish the same goals, and if Hibiki and Yamato saw fit to do so in this manner, then this was how it would be done. In fact, it reflected quite well on the older boy that he was able to make such quick decisions independently now.
Though a look at the creature causing such a fuss made it almost difficult to suppress a small laugh, as she instead gave an incredulous snort. Ah yes, that adorable bright red bird, ridiculous looking in almost every sense, was enough to instill fear and panic in the hearts of any battle-hardened survivor of the destruction of the world as they knew it, wasn’t it? Or at least, it was enough to rid Shijima of his common sense, throw their most valued new member into defense mode, and turn the bulk of their chief’s internal monologue into a joke intended to tease the brunet. Not a complaint, mind you, just an observation.
As the more experienced pair of JP’s set off to circle the house, a rather dull sounding acknowledgement was given to Yamato’s own words. “Hmm, I wonder.” She supposed it did make sense to clear the area of any potential dangers lurking, but it wasn’t as if she wanted to be a part of it. It was simply necessity. Usually tucked away safely in her own environment, using her wits as her weapon of choice as she upheld the JP’s from their core. Fieldwork was a necessary part of her life now, but it didn’t mean she liked it. Though in her inattentiveness, it seemed that her silver-haired companion had begun speaking. Not only that, he had taken it into his own hands to clear their path of an obstruction which he deemed irrelevant.
A small, displeased sound came from the direction in which it could be kicked, something that she’d have easily overlooked had it not been for the reaction the teens had shown to the silly looking bird creature. Of course there would be creatures easily underestimated but just as dangerous here. There were only a few moments pause before it seemed that… a light was being emitted?
Tumblr media
For a moment the researcher stared. It was dangerous, that much was clear. Not only were they warned of the hostile nature of the creatures out here, but Chief had been so bold as to openly kick it away without a second thought to its potential abilities. The harsh glow given off from the direction to which it was kicked, however, seemed to give off an air that made her uncomfortable. Not something that the scientist could fully comprehend without better conditions under which to observe it, but enough that Fumi was already fairly suspicious as a larger, brown creature seemed to appear in the smaller one’s place.
Perhaps, as in the act of demon fusion, it had somehow improved itself? But independently of any… her thoughts trailed off, but it was clear that its change needed to be acknowledged somehow. With her hands already deep in her pockets, her fingers proceeded to trace along the edge of her phone in preparation. Its potential threat shouldn’t be ignored, but neither should her limited power in these situations.
"Chief?" Eyes flickering back to the younger male, a trace of a sly smile appeared upon her lips. Of course they needed to act quickly, but she vaguely wondered if the other had considered the possibility of bringing this sort of danger upon them. As it approached slowly, seeming to sniff them out, it was hard not to notice the conspicuously larger tusks it possessed. "How should we deal with it?" A poor mask for the question of whose demon summon should be sacrificed for the occasion, as hers was better used defensively at the current time.

It's the fact that he would have to treat those he believed he would be seeing more of? He was sure that this dog would be someone he would need to keep around, more or less so the thought came to his mind. A shake of his head as he found that the other was pleased, he could only give a sigh thinking how much was too much to do. Crossing his arms as he thought about his next ideals.
Tumblr media
Sitting back in place as he waited, words then left from his mouth as he could wonder if this was far too much. But it never did hurt to try. A clear of his throat, ❝If I was to ask for you to show me your skills on the battlefield, would you be able to do so?❞ Even though, it was rude for those to talk when eating, his curiosity did come about the way the other used it's Persona and also couldn't help but thinks how agreeing this canine would be to certain things. Surely, he had to indulge. Having made the other as happy as he could, he believed that it was a fare exchange.
Who Let the Dog Out? [open/intro/minievent]
Yamato’s words brought peace to the Persona user’s mind. It was strange, how a male he’d only met that day was already one that commanded much of his respect. However, there was something about Yamato that reminded the canine of some of his fellow SEES members, specifically those who often took command. He’d definitely get along with Mitsuru, the dog mused.
The dog hadn’t noticed the white-haired male leaving the area, so focused on filling his stomach that it wasn’t one of his priorities anymore. It was usually due to food that the dog would suddenly revert back to a one-track mind, like much of his species.
Tumblr media
Yamato returned, with a drink for the dog. Koromaru barked, elated that his friend would consider his thirst as well. The male continued to prove Koromaru’s judgement correctly. Such a good boy. He’d pet the male back, if he could.

Coming to these decisions, he did feel as if it was right to allow someone like Yu into his departments. Whichever one he was willing to choose. They understood that for both of them, they tampered with something that was important. That they had power that could do so much and realizing only those that were skilled could do something like it. As he tented his hands, casually thinking of how this would work out for both their favors, he surely wasn't going to test any of those theories of bringing a Persona to his world from creation.
Tumblr media
The phone that was for his use, a few buttons were clicked before a light sound was made. He made sure that not much was done for he didn't want to worry Yu in the slightest as he listened to what he believed. If he thought their goals were the same and they each other's help would be needed, then Yamato would give a nod. But to make that happen, the male looked behind the Persona User, as if he was communicating with someone else. Which he was, in fact, a cat-like beast that settled behind the male which had been summoned held a slip of paper within it's fangs.
❝Well, then you wouldn't mind filling out the form, do you?❞ As he asked, the demon took a step forward, sitting down right next to the table with it's eyes staring right at Yu for only moments before allowing the form to slip from between it's teeth. ❝As I was saying about Demons, this is one of the many. Name being Cerberus.❞ Though it is a powerful beast, on par with Byakko, there were other demons that could defeat the large feline if not paying attention.
Tumblr media
It didn't take long until Ceberus had found itself laying against the floor, it's forelegs used as a pillow as it rested. Since there was no danger, as he could see, he did not mind that the Demon would loaf around. ❝I'm sure with you and your friends, Personas, are our Demons, we'll come to some sort of accomplishment towards the end.❞

Sadly to say, the look of utter boredom played upon his features as he could only thinking back to his mishaps. When the weather was at it's worse, having to fight off such strange creatures weren't what he desired to do. At that time, there was only so much they could do against the hoards of rather interesting creatures, he never did find out what they were. One of them changing into something because of Yamato kicking it into a building, it reminded him of a premature mammoth though had he not known it was in it's second stage at that time. Even the strange creature that carried a bag with it, distant relations to a penguin but was fit for such cold weather.
He remembered that at those times, those was the worse of them all. If Daichi hadn't brought upon one of them and maybe if Yamato hadn't bothered another. No danger would have been placed among them. Though it wasn't anything inevitable but his interest with them still remained so he could only wonder where he could have more insight about them. But that was ruined as someone had walked up to him, speaking of tickets and even the audacity to have fun. The words brought the male to close his eyes, he could hardly care about anything like that.
❝A waste of time.❞ He stated, not truly caring for how excited the other was about this extravagant playhouse for those who enjoyed it's features. The only reason he was here was to think and the fact that the area was so dead gave him just that ability to do so. Even as his process was interrupted by the female, he raised a brow as he looked at the outfit that she was wearing. It wasn't anything normal per say, but he wouldn't think anything else on it.
Tumblr media
❝Why would I allow my time to be swallowed up by meaningless endeavors, there's other things that I could indulge in than this. You seem to have a smart face, surely you understand.❞ Then again he had his doubts, here she was, trying to bring him along of all people.
Desire of Amusement ~ Open
Prices were high, true, but that didn’t stop the prince from purchasing something here or there. Mostly, this resulted in a wide array of books. And happening upon a certain book store, the prince was alerted by a sudden siren after having purchased Sun Tzu’s ‘The Art of War’.
"Coooongratulaaatioooons! You're our one millionth customer!"
Tumblr media
How odd, the prince thought at the time. To celebrate such a small milestone… alas, she was more bewildered than anything. And upon such a sudden, yet mildly amusing event, the prince was thus issued forth two tickets for Hive City’s one and only amusement park, of all things.
Amusement park?
What a bizarre name, she idly thought to herself— but by the time she had trekked over to Sector oo5’s Amusement Park, Miko quietly understood what the name of this establishment seemed to entail.
With snow still covering the ground in places here and there, bright lights filled area surrounding the grandiose park with all sorts of different colors creating a rather tantalizing view for the eyes. It was… unique. And yet, spectacular, in a way. Stepping forth to the ticket booth, she could only pause herself before getting closer, to stare at the two tickets for a moment— and idly to the rather empty-ish lot that was taken up by rides and the like.
Ah, but of course.
Prices were far too high, at the moment, in most places. And given this park’s relatively empty feel, it wasn’t much of a surprise that things were empty. How… sad, really.
Golden optics gazing once more to the two golden passes in her hands, she reflected idly on their worth.
These tickets were special— allowing anyone to head to the park for the duration of the Winter season for as long as they wanted, and without any cost for rides, as she was told. … No doubt these must have cost a small fortune simply to gain.
Out of the corner of Miko’s eyes, she spied another citizen, whom also seemed interested in the bright amusement park which was amazingly still open in such a time.
"You there," her voice broke through the silence, the prince’s body turning towards that of the figure nearby, cape blowing gently in the light breeze that passed through the area as a charming smile played about Miko’s lips.
Tumblr media
"I’ve got two free seasonal passes here, and I lack a partner. Would you care to accompany me in this place? … It’s more enjoyable taking in something this apparently fun with a friend, is it not?"
And thus, Miko awaited an answer with an eager, yet calm look to her.

Silently listening, eyes closed as he brought himself to give attention to the male. He did strive to have that world back, didn't he? It was already ruined, broken beyond repair, just like he was. He found so many similarities between he and it, even at times he felt envious that Hibiki wanted to fix such a world. Maybe it was because it was easier for the people than it was for him, to stay tarnished without anything to wipe him clean. He knew it was his fault that he grew up such a way, he could not complain that he was a wreck that ran an organization. Part of him relaxed within his chair, giving the amount of weight that Hibiki's words carried a bit of leverage to force a reply.
Leaning forward, his arms crossed on the desk. He hadn't looked the male in the eye from where he sat, thinking of what was appropriate. It was true that others could appear here as well, but would they come way later in the future? The time gaps that followed with them, but it was more so that the other wished to go back home. Digits pressed against the table, tapping lightly as he tried thinking about how that would have worked. Would a world be left over if they were to go back? Tedious thinking was done, the percentage of something being there.
❝What if what I just told you was my decision, Kuze?❞ Inquiry placed as he wondered what would be his words, hinting that the world had nothing left for him. All those people, they had no reason but being nothing more than pathetic. At this moment, he opened his eyes and allowed his sight to take in the scenery, he disliked this change of growing accustomed but it was all that they were given for such an environment.
Tumblr media
❝What if you're wrong and there's nothing left? Dreaming for the impossible, isn't it tiresome to do that? When you can tell when everything has came to an end? It sounds hopeless to think things can be saved when they are damaged beyond repair, Kuze. Even when you're given something new, you should take it and change it to your fitting.❞

Contemplation as he began, he could only wonder why the other continued to play coy. It wasn't that one had to play dumb with Yamato, for he knew that things like this only brought him to wonder. Curious as to why he thought that he wouldn't heave learned of it. A part of him could only chuckle softly as he allowed the brunet to speak in such a matter. That light air of laugh that left from his fragile lips, the way his eyes were placed upon that of his own. As much as this meeting was bringing the other to shift around.
❝Do you want to hide it from me?❞ Wasn't there more promise inside of this Demon App User? As if a pact had faded away, that was as quick as Yamato caring had went. Seemingly enough, analyzing the way that the other had spoke, maybe he had to elaborate more on the scenario. A slow smile had found it's way onto his features, it wasn't one that anyone should have been proud of. For this one hinted very twisted intentions,
❝The car,❞ He started, ❝The risk of driving a car is rather.. life-taking, isn't it, Shijima? Well, if one doesn't pay attention.❞

How dare he act as if this whole ordeal was something that didn't need to be tampered with. He would indulge, he thought of how this was a simple friend of Hibiki's that had grown a wide margin. Living within the city for more than a year must have changed the neutrality in his body, how fitting. Gloved hands raised from his pockets so that he retrieved a phone from it's place,

He should have known the other would have said something so insufferable towards him, it was just like Sherlock to do things like this. Of course, he closed his eyes and shook his head, not being able to believe that the other knew of the creation of JPs. Sadly, he was a great mind and that meant he would have been very useful towards their goal but even that man played by his own rules. Bringing his hands together, he had to think hard about what it was he truly wanted.
Looking past the other's words and into his own uses, he gave a light sigh. ❝Do you truly believe that JPs needs someone like you? Even if you are someone who has potential, did you even look into what we provide and the things that we do? To think I may have a form hiding in my pocket for someone like you is degrading.❞

A shake of his head as he looked off to the side, though the other was right, he did bring a form with him. The male wondered if this was even the right choice, would this Sherlock even work like he want him to? ❝Well, Holmes, it seems that you're practically waiting for me to let you in? Needing my permission or not, you seem the type to well, appear anyway even if I say no. Who's to say if you do join that you will do your part, I do not like to be played as a fool.❞
