[Text Stiles]: I dunno, some miserable woman's definition of "ugly" flowers? [Text Stiles]: Mom wanted marigolds and herbs but they "looked too much like weeds" and "smelled bad"
[txt: scott mccall] like what would even be crazy anyway? [txt: scott mccall] weed? a certain amount of that is legal here.

[Text Stiles]: I like cooking for people, it's definitely not a problem. [Text Stiles]: Seriously, I enjoy doing it and mom and I can't eat all the food I tend to make. Sometimes I forget she can't eat as much as I do. [Text Stiles]: Mom hated it, it wasn't like she was even asking to plant anything crazy!
[txt: scott mccall] i mean im not gonna complain too much if you wanna cook for me but im just saying it is not necessary [txt: scott mccall] i cant even imagine letting somebody else tell me what plants i can have in my own yard gross

[Text Stiles]: HOA, better not plant or do anything to the house that you own because some lady down the street thinks they smell bad or they're not "nice enough". [Text Stiles]: Ah man well you still definitely have to let me feed you or something. [Text Stiles]: In addition to the providing the wood thing.
[txt: scott mccall] that neighbor sounds like a dick [txt: scott mccall] nah you wouldnt have to pay for it [txt: scott mccall] just supply the wood and i can do the rest

[Text Stiles]: Nah man, I get it. They're lame. [Text Stiles]: My mom grew some marigolds and man our neighbor hated them so much. [Text Stiles]: Color or variance in your yard is bad and scary, clearly.
[Text Stiles]: I mean, I don't think we could pay you for it. [Text Stiles]: But I make pretty good lemonade. [Text Stiles]: I can also cook
[txt: scott mccall] no offence i hate city lawns theyre so boring [txt: scott mccall] i dont get why youd want it to look like you live on the golf green [txt: scott mccall] oh cool that sounds great if you need help building raised beds i can help no problem those are easy

[Text Stiles]: Oh man. [Text Stiles]: That's really awesome actually? Because the city definitely doesn't have much in the way of nature. Not legit nature anyway. [Text Stiles]: People are afraid of anything but flat lawns and acceptable trees.
[Text Stiles]: We're in the process of making ours wild flowers and useful stuff for local wild life to eat. Especially since we're close to the woods as well. [Text Stiles]: Mom always wanted to start a garden so we might be trying that too? [Text Stiles]: I'll let you know how well that goes
[txt: scott mccall] well youre in luck bc holy shit i think this is the moss capital of the world there is so much moss and lichen EVERYWHERE esp as spring starts youll see [txt: scott mccall] lawn grasses are a freaking sin theyre terrible for the local critters nothing for them to eat [txt: scott mccall] dad and i let the parts that arent wooded on our property go wild the deer love the prairie oats [txt: scott mccall] and the crabapples

[Text Stiles]: Heck yeah, that's actually a big relief. It's not a huge deal, I just. Sometimes wanna touch grass? [Text Stiles]: Sometimes I really just wanna enjoy nature. It helps settle my brain.
[Text Stiles]: Oh dude. I love moss? [Text Stiles]: It's so fricken soft.
[Text Stiles]: I really like tall wild grasses more than most of the grasses in lawns. Or parks?
[txt: scott mccall] well never fear there are plenty of people okay with you laying on grass in a public park up here [txt: scott mccall] and even if they arent my dad and i have a pretty big property so you can come touch the grass here if you want. [txt: scott mccall] or the moss and scotch broom mostly we have that and not grass hahaha

[Text Stiles]: Eugh. Yeah, it really would. [Text Stiles]: This dynamic would be a lot weirder, that's for sure.
[Text Stiles]: I'm glad I'm not as well lol
[Text Stiles]: DUDE! Have you seen the way they design benches at bus stops? [Text Stiles]: God forbid someone lay down while waiting, or just. Try to stay dry. Can't because of the bars in the middle of the bench.
[Text Stiles]: Sometimes I just want to lay in the grass, but nooooo. I can't do that because I'm loitering or something. In a public park.
[txt: scott mccall] i think this all would take on a much different light if you were still fifteen [txt: scott mccall] a GROSS light so im glad youre not haha [txt: scott mccall] the amount of hostile architecture in cities is wild [txt: scott mccall] like theyre so worried somebody might take a nap somewhere that nobody gets to even sit down anymore ever

[Text Stiles]: Eh. [Text Stiles]: I'm not 15, the mindless rage part of my personality passed.
[Text Stiles]: You're weird, but a good weird? If that makes sense?
[Text Stiles]: But yeah, I can just. Go lay out in the yard for hours and nobody is gonna call the cops on me or hover because I've been in the same spot too long.
[txt: scott mccall] wow that might be the first time anyones said that talking to me made them feel COMFORTABLE [txt: scott mccall] usually its stuff like annoyed or gripped by a mindless rage or something [txt: scott mccall] scool i dont mind at all [txt: scott mccall] yeah the nice part about living out here is i can just go out to the forest and yell if i need to and the deer and shit dont judge me

[Text Stiles]: Sorry, I feel comfortable talking to you I guess? [Text Stiles]: Still. Sorry again. [Text Stiles]: Being able to go to do stuff is nice about the city, but it's too loud.
[Text Stiles]: No ADHD for me, but I totally get it! The whole. Overwhelming thing.
[txt: scott mccall] its okay im just not used to people just kinda being open about that stuff [txt: scott mccall] at least not to me [txt: scott mccall] yeah i like that about it down here the citys got cool stuff but its just too much all the time and my adhd goes AAAAHHHH

[Text Stiles]: Sorry, guess I could have maybe been a little less intense with that trauma. [Text Stiles]: It's okay, I've gotten a lot better y'know? [Text Stiles]: Therapy wasn't great at first but
[Text Stiles]: Then we came here and I've been doing a lot better, it's quieter here.
[txt: scott mccall] oh holy shit i am so sorry to hear that [txt: scott mccall] that is super intense [txt: scott mccall] im sorry i brought it up

[Text]: You didn't, but it's not rude! I don't mind it. [Text]: It's a bit complicated to explain, I guess?
[Text]: But I got attacked by an animal while out in the woods with some friends on a school field trip. [Text]: My girlfriend at the time died in my arms and it just got really uncomfortable to be in the city.
[txt: scott mccall] accident? did i ask about that already? is it rude for me to ask sorry lol

[Text: Stiles]: Yeah, big cities are way too much man. [Text: Stiles]: I'm enjoying being here because of it. It's quieter y'know?
[Text: Stiles]: Big cities are loud and I got really bad with dealing with the noise when I got into the accident.
[txt: scott mccall] i get that ive been in seattle and a couple of other big cities a couple of times [txt: scott mccall] like immediate overstimulation. too much happening all at once.

Tumblr media
Isaac moved closer and Scott half lifted his gaze to look at the other wolf. His palm was warm as it rest on his shoulder and Scott lifted his eyes to meet Isaac's, heartache evident in his gaze. He let Isaac lead him to the chair and he rubbed his hands over his face, slumping into the chair. "I don't know how to be there for Eli, I've...never lost a parent, let alone having watched them die." Scott shook his head, breathing out shakily. "The rest of the pack needs time to grieve too."
Tumblr media
Isaac only grew more concerned with Scott so he moved closer, hand going to rest on the alpha's shoulder to attempt to comfort him. "Hey, hey Scott please just ease up." He began leading the alpha to a chair. "Like I said I'll help you out. I'm not going anywhere for a while. And Eli, he just needs some space. I promise." His hand moved to Scott's back as he began to rub it. "You also should ask for some time off to grieve. Yes you're the alpha, but you also deserve time to heal from what happened."

[Text: Stiles]: I thought groovy was a 70's word [Text: Stiles]: Languages are really weird. Especially when it comes to slang [Text: Stiles]: No, of course we're friends! I mean, I think we're friends? [Text: Stiles]: You want to be friends right? [Text: Stiles]: Oh yeah, me too. Thank you again, seriously.
[txt: scott mccall] first of all i dont think neat is like a fifties word you didnt call it groovy or something [txt: scott mccall] second of all are we not friends yet what other steps do i have to take to unlock level 1 friendship [txt: scott mccall] but either way youre welcome

[TEXT: Stiles]: Nothing's wrong with the word neat! [TEXT: Stiles]: I just don't usually drop my less cool speech patterns into conversations until I've established friendship. [TEXT: Stiles]: Y'know, that point where you're invested in being my friend and just roll your eyes fondly when I talk like a 50's youth. [TEXT: Stiles]: ANYWAYs! Thank you, I appreciate it :D
[txt: scott mccall] no worries [txt: scott mccall] also i dunno whats wrong with the word neat its a fine word [txt: scott mccall] anyway hope that you can find what youre looking for

[txt: scott mccall] sure theres a place called black sheep over on beacon road [txt: scott mccall] its a yarn place but they can point you in the right direction im sure. [txt: scott mccall] just be careful trying to park its kind of tricky around there bc its in a residential area in a house
[TEXT: Stiles]: Black Sheep? Okay, neat! [TEXT: Stiles]: Ugh, okay forget I just said neat, it’s not very good for the impression that I’m cool. [TEXT: Stiles]: Oh, okay. Thanks for the warning, I feel like I definitely would have missed it, and probably had to drive the block more than once to park properly. But hey! I’m from LA, parking there is a nightmare everywhere, and not just residential areas.
