"misandry isn't feminism blah blah blah" you know what? women have earned the right to hate men. women deserve to hate men. after all the suffering we've been put through our entire existence, we are not standing here to merely be told we aren't fucking feminists for loathing who we've been subjected to. let women hate men, let women be free, and above all let women have fucking voices.

As a radfem, I think it's extremely important that radical feminists have their own spaces to discuss their favorite forms of media. This includes T.V shows we like, videogames we play, artists who's music we enjoy. Especially for nerdy radfems who are into anime and videogames. Having a community where we're able to build friendships based around our favorite media is just as important as being able to hold political discourse.
We're constantly being banished from various fandom spaces due to how protected certain demographics of males are so, why not make our own? We should absolutely have the freedom to study media through gender critical/radical feminist lens if there are dozens upon dozes of groups who are able to headcanon characters as tims and tifs.
(and honestly? talking with radical feminists outside of politics can be so fun. politics, can be toxic at times and it is mentally draining.)

i think what's holding back the sabrina discourse is that choice feminists do not fundamentally believe in socialization or the choices you make not being in a vacuum.
choice feminists think they're the ones who are free because they believe criticism of pandering to the patriarchy is centering men itself. therefore the natural solution is making "any" choice you want and saying you don't do it for men.
essentially, if you ignore the patriarchy and pretend it's not real, it will go away, and if you point it out YOU are the misogynist because you are "creating" it.
they do not have a concept that they themselves are influenced by society to act in favor of the patriarchy. this logic is only used as an argument against feminism, they understand why it is ridiculous to try to solve other forms of bigotry by accusing people who point it out as people perpetuating it.
additionally, many see modesty as the sole patriarchal standard for women, despite this being historically inaccurate. in reality, it is a double-sided coin. they use porn, buy magazines, the main difference is that they own women privately. what makes it a "sin" is that she is sexually available publicly.

very telling how sabrina carpenter album defenders think people are criticizing her for being sexual or enjoying sex with men. because nothing about being pulled around by your hair inherently suggests sex with men. to so many people, being a straight woman means enjoying being degraded and pushed around by men. so when you say that maybe images that look like recreations of 50s sexist ads maybe aren’t feminist, people think you’re slut shaming, because to them, getting hurt by men is synonymous with female sexuality
and its all connected. are you a woman attracted to men but want them to treat you as an equal? you are probably actually a gay trans man, or at least nonbinary. you need a bisexual gay man to love you because only he will accept you not fitting into female beauty standards
because being a woman means enjoying being degraded, apparently. god forbid a woman want to be sexual and also treated with respect

It’s so annoying when people hate on the “all men” sentiment because “what about queer, non white, or disabled men” like yes them too. They all have the capacity to be just as misogynistic as white, straight, able bodied men. Simply being a certain minority doesn’t take away their systemic power over women idgaf who they are.

i am so happy to see pushback against sabrina carpenter's new album cover from feminists on tiktok. i don't go on there often, let alone post anything, but from what i can see, radical feminist views might be gaining popularity. we are DOING IT ladies!!!
i know i've made post(s) like this in the past, but i just cannot stop myself from getting hopeful about the future of feminism when things like this come up. i celebrate any and all wins i can get, even if in the grand scheme of things they're small. keep speaking out.

I've noticed that men usually only see what things are on a very superficial level, and women are able to see not just what they are but what they 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯. We see the larger picture, the symbolism that men either can't see or choose to ignore.
For example, when a woman tells her fiance 4,897 times that when they feed each other cake at the wedding, to please not smash the cake all over her face. She couldn't be clearer that this is immensely important to her. He says, "Okay" - and when the time comes he smashes the cake all over her face, guffawing.
Or when a marriage is on the rocks because a wife feels consistently disrespected and unappreciated, and she gives her husband one last chance to demonstrate that he loves her - and she comes home to a trail of rose petals that lead to a sink full of his dirty dishes. And he calls it a joke.
Men in the comments of these videos say things like, "Gosh, if she gets that mad over a little frosting/a joke, he's better off without her!" But women can understand in a flash that of COURSE its not about frosting or a poor joke - because what buffoon would think that? Its about the total disregard for her feelings; the way that all these things say, "You can plead with me about something that's important to you a million times, and I'll deliberately disregard it and laugh in your face about it. Why? 𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦."
And you can't get men to understand any of this. Try it. They'll just say things like, "you obviously can't take a joke just like the other woman here" and eventually trot out some misogynistic slurs. They're literally just not at a level of evolution to understand these things that are so easily grasped by women. As someone once said, "You can't speak butterfly language to caterpillar people."

I wish I knew who made this, I would love to credit her.
This is an excellent way to show that Right-Wing and Left-Wing political parties mirror each other and neither side is really all that different. Both wings on the bird have a shared interest in oppressing women, they just disagree on how to go about it. As Andrea Dworkin said, Right-Wingers want women to be private property, Left-Wingers want women to be public property.
If we want to achieve liberation we must abandon Left-Wing and Right-Wing political parties and create our own male-free radical feminist political party. Almost every political party, exception being radical feminism, was made by men, for men, at the expense of women.

hi. just a reminder
your feelings are real. even the small / messy ones.
you don’t have to explain your discomfort. or prove your pain.
if it hurt, it matters. if it happened, it counts.
even if it was while holding a sandwich and no-one flinched.
love, someone who believes you

my heart bleeds everyday for the afghan girls and women. they are housebound and have to cover themselves up from top to bottom because they have to "avoid temptation or seduction". they are not allowed to speak in public or appear in public because it is deemed "too intimate." the women can’t look at men. suicide rates have skyrocketed because women and girls would rather be dead than to be a women in afghanistan. it’s not a sin to be a women.
women and girls are denied access to healthcare because they cannot be treated by male doctors, yet they are also barred from education and, therefore, cannot become doctors themselves. shops in afghanistan are even forced to cover up female mannequins. little girls live in fear of becoming child brides, but they dream of being poets, they would kill to get education.
a woman was disqualified from the olympics because she spread the message "free afghan women" at her breakdance performance. there must always be a relative male by their side like women were dogs being treated by their owner, except dogs have more rights than the women suffering.
we must raise awareness, do not look away. these women deserve the opportunities and the human rights that EVERY person does. they are talented, creative and intelligent but men are so scared. scared of women. the taliban tries to erase women. i’m sick. remember: it’s not islam or "just their culture", it is the radical government that feels threatened by women. do not look away.
