There is a stark shortage of deltarune sickfics that, to my understanding, are either actually sickfics, or have the main characters being cute together.

so I shall share my silly little ideas that I'm too lazy to actually write out.

Kris is sick after they get control over themself again because they spent a long, long time doing whatever they wanted. They played piano, drank hot chocolate, helped their dad at the flower shop, baked pies with their mother, etc etc. Overworked themselves in a way they missed, except now they're feverish and their body aches... I've imagined Susie would take care of them, but it's also fit for a brother/sibling quality time fic with Asriel as the caregiver. Just a kind of feel-good fic I think.

Noelle is sick and refuses help from anyone who isn't Kris. Carol calls Kris on their weekend away from nefarious actions and has them help her. I think it could be really angsty, with her deliriously crying for her sister, and Kris not knowing how to console her. Could have Snowgrave tied to the "whys" and "hows" but I don't really intend to do that myself.

Literally ANYthing where Susie is sick. Literally anything. I don't know why no one else has thought of this??? Susie being sick and taken care of by Kris and their mother because she doesn't wanna go home? Amazing. Susie being feverish in class and Noelle taking it upon herself to take care of her because they don't have a nurse at that school for some reason? Absolute cinema.

Kris being sick and Berdly taking care of them, begrudgingly, because what would he do without his player two? He'd feel sooo bad if he just got so much better at Dragon Blazers 2, he couldn't just bring himself to give himself such a big advantage against them... but also he's lowkey germaphobic. But he's trying his best here! Could end with Kris being kind of fuzzy and giving him credit for his caregiving skills, and Berdly's ego getting just a little bit bigger.

Kris being sick and getting some quality time with their father as their caretaker. It's not conventional, of course, because his air mattress isn't very comfortable, and that's usually where he sleeps... But he's doing his best!
