Emmrich can be a bit of a coward, but he is brave when he needs to be. He just needs a little encouragement.

The Weisshaupt lines are a bit moddefied from what you hear in-game. It's Davrin that sais "I can't keep this up much longer" and Emmrich answere "Neither can I" And Rook said "Yes you can, We didnt come all this way for nothing" The lines are missable if you play on too low difficulty.

Emmy when he first came to the Necropolis. Emmy overworking himself with his studies. And the autopsy date gone wrong.

I wasnt 100% sure if I wanted to pick the autopsy date as a bad memory. Emmrich is good with other ppls feelings, but he is very dishonest about his own. He'll rather lie and say he is fine, but he is so bad at lying its obvious that he isnt alright. I went with the logic that maybe he mentions the date to the Veilguard, because he does have a need to talk about it. It's a memory that has bothered him. And maybe he feels like he cant talk about it with anyone in the MW.

Eh, I'm just making it up tho xD

I went with the DA Inquisition fear spirit. The spirit is as old as Emmrich or older so I figured it would make sense with the old design (And they look cooler).

I said this on Bsky already, but I guess I'll post it here too. My EmmRook comic is on a little break.

I got some health issues I need to get sorted, and I couldn't get an appointment until next week. I want to get back to it asap while the idea is still fresh in my mind. But it does give my arms some time to rest, and it's sorely needed 🙈

Sat down to draw a funny (golden) 'one' for Emmlich, just wanted to try some other brushes. Then discord started talking about /other/ things, and it got a bit out of hand xD (Colours and all!)

Gossip and Shadows

Nevarra strike me as a place of drama, gossip and intrigue. Especially between the nobles. The Pentaghast and the Van Markham (and whoever else is in the cooking pot)

Emmrich coming back to Nevarra a bit of a 'Hero who saved the world', I could see them trying to bask in his fame. Rook having decided to fade into the background because of her chronic fatigue.

Emmrich being lich, having retired from his teaching. Only stepping in on occations when he is sorely needed. Pursuing other interests and duties.

If only the most senior staff knows about the liches, I'm guessing he is sworn to some secrecy, and dont walk around the upper levels of the Necropolis without his glamour on. The students could misstake him for a servant skeleton. :D

Is this cutscene bugged for anyone else? I always have to restart it 3-4 times for Manfred to show up like he should.

The awkward way Rook and Emmrich look at eachother at the end tho, priceless xD

Oh and there arnt any mods interfering with it either as I have never installed any. Also not my canon Rook~

Going away over the Easter so I'll wish you all a good one. Time to eat copious amounts of candy :3

What I most desire

Rook's backstory from Emmrich's pov. Thinking of the days events while writing in his journal. Diveging from ig backstory.

And remember, you are adequate!

Kiss a frog and it turns into a prince, or kiss an Emmrich and he turns into Emmlich 🤭

Context: My Rook has Chronic fatigue.

Not sure I portray it well, but I imagine she has good and bad days. To climb around the rubble in the catacumbs would make her tired, and maybe her joints would hurt.

Ever and ever

Take him out for a candle dinner for two? A romantic outing in the sunny fields? No - Emmrich I-was-such-a-morbid-child Volkarin gets to cry tears of joy in his own coffin. I think he would absolutely love that, so it's only fitting.

Having descussed the topic of Emmrich and marriage with a few people, we came to the consensus that he definitly already has the wedding planed down to the smallest detail. Menu, table cloth, you name it. He made it when he was a young man of course~
