You know what I hate, Tumblr? I hate people who take advantage of others. You know what I really hate? People who take advantage of others during a season where we should be looking out for each other more than ever.

Every year I try to make a concerted effort to fight back against scalpers on Balmung, and with the addition of the world visit system, we have more tools at our disposal than ever!

As some people may or may not be aware, 1.0 players who completed the Starlight event (and I think even some 2.0 players for the first year) are able to purchase the Dream Tunic, hats, and boots from the recompense officer for almost nothing at all. (Just 59 gil for the tunic!)

Some people use this as an opportunity to turn around and scalp them for tens, if not hundreds of thousands of gil.

I fucking hate this.

People shouldn’t be scalped for these old outfits! It’s the holidays, after all! So I ask you, fellow Crystal friends, to help me in fighting back against the greed this holiday season by spreading these outfits out to any who might want them, free of charge!

I’m happy to buy up dozens and dozens of sets and hand them out to people, whether to list them for cheap on the MB, or to hand them out to your friends and FC members! If possible, I’d love to compile a list of people all across Crystal who have access to these outfits from the NPC, and list them here for people to contact in order to amass some sets.

I tend to keep busy in-game, so I can’t promise I’ll always be available, but I’ll do my best to make sure there’s at least some stock of cheap outfits on the MB at all times. Having others with free retainer space to do the same would be fantastic! There’s always going to be grinches who buy and discard them to try and burn out the market, but I’ve never let that stop me before.

My recommendation is to list them for around 2000 gil. Cheap enough to be affordable by all, but expensive enough where if some one tries to buy out the market for personal gain it will hurt their pocket instead! I’ll be using an alt to sell, and plan on taking all the gil earned from these sales and giving it away at Christmas! (Plus a little extra)

Do your OC’s morals and rules of common decency go out the window when it comes to those they don’t like, or when it’s inconvenient? Aka, are their morals situational?

Celeste likes to believe in the best of everyone. She’s helped people who were considered her foes, and is a big believer in thinking there is good in everyone. The woman stays strong in her morals. Common decency goes out the window when she’s drunk, she’s a bit blind if someone might be uncomfortable when she gets all touchy feely, but she means well!

7, Is your OC confident in their reactions to life in general, or do they get embarrassed or easily shamed for it? I.e., if something startles them, do they insist it WAS scary? When they cry, do they feel like they overreacted?

Celeste is pretty dramatic. She doesn’t get embarrassed for acting childish and normally she isn’t shamed for it. The woman doesn’t really know shame and the only times she does get embarrassed are seen by very few. So all in all, she is a very confident woman who holds her head up high in situations she probably should feel embarrassed about.

What are some of your OC’s biggest personal obstacles? This could be emotional, physical, social… Are they aware of it? Are they trying to overcome it?

Oh my, Celeste has a couple of tough obstacles. After having her first love go missing, Celeste drowned the pain in alcohol and risky bets. She developed a habit for the two that led to many years of incurring debt. However, Celeste was slowly over coming the losing her lover by meeting someone new and getting married. Yet the fairy-tale came to a bitter end after incompatibility left only silence between the two, causing a separation. Now Celeste is on a downward spiral, and although she is quite aware of her habits getting more out of hand now, she continues going down this path to help get her through her days.

What kind of childhood did your OC have?

Celeste had a busy childhood. She grew up as one of the older siblings to five other siblings with poor parents in Ul'dah. She spent most of her time having to stay outside with her siblings as there wasn't enough space to keep all the kids in the house during the day. Celeste didn't get a proper education, and started working at a young age as a dish washer. She's always in pursuit of money, so when given the chance to make lots of gil by going on dangerous adventures as a healer, she couldn't pass it down.

How often do they cook? Do they order out a lot?

Celeste doesn't cook often. She'll try cooking drunk some days, but it usually fails once she realizes the oven isn't on or she burnt one side of the pancake she was trying to make. So, Celeste more than likely relies on ready made food or easy food like sandwiches. While Celeste would love to order out, her going out expenses is saved for booze.

  Alright, here we go– I put together a list of questions about OCs that you can reblog and have people send in asks for you! I set it up so you can be like, “A3″, “D2″, et cetera… Keep checking in here to the original post in case I add some more to the list! In the meantime, I hope y’all have some fun with this and maybe use it to learn a little bit more about your OCs or get to share things about them!! A. Psychology

What of the Meyers-Briggs personality types they most fit into? INFP, ENFT, et cetera…

What alignment are they? Chaotic neutral, lawful evil, et cetera…

Mmmm, I don't really have terrible role play experiences. Sometimes I get flustered when out with a lot of people. I think the main bad experience I had was a couple of months ago when someone said they wanted to RP with me but whenever I added them on discord they had different intentions that turned too much for me. [Crystal/Balmung] LFRP: Specifics for Kincaid & Kini

I am absolutely itching for some specific hooks for my characters and they are listed below! However my active characters are all open for connections in general. So if you have an idea or one of my others has caught your fancy, feel free to poke! My characters are Crystal/Balmung and I am an EST evening person. All RP is for in-game only, until RP has been established. (Then I’m willing to do Discord RP for vacations/finishing scenes.) I am always happy to chat via Discord though and can be reached at Lain#0004 or through DMs here. I hope that’s alright!

[ Kincaid Crowe | No-good Mercenary | LFRP Info || Profile Snippet ] He considers himself a bastard, has plenty of secrets and will lie with a smile.  “Didn’t you know it’s the biggest smiles that hide the sharpest knives?”  Looking for… + + +  “Good” characters! He’s a bad guy. He’s got plenty of friends that kill, deal in dark magicks or tango outside of the law, but it’d be interesting to have him interact with those who don’t make a habit of such things. Examples would be characters that would be considered gentle, innocent or who do “normal” things like run a flower shop or bakery or w/e! Warning: He’ll probably add some chaos. Genre of RP would still be considered dark, mature or at least serious considering he’s in the equation even with some extra fluff! I’m open to all other dabblings in between.  + + + A Doctor!  BONUS points if they’re a Conjurer. Extra bonus points if they’re also a “good” character. (Mad scientist types need not apply, he’d stay faaar away from them.) He doesn’t like conjury, so that little snippet just could make an interesting dynamic and help the other character explore other avenues. This would definitely be long term if possible, since he… well, he really could use a consistent doctor since the last one kinda died. It was an accident. Honest! Trust issues would be heavy in the beginning. Genre of RP would be the same above, but I’m also flexible with whatever. 

[ A’kini Khotan | Useful Doll & Buff Magic Specialist | LFRP Info || Profile Snippet ] Kini is a cheerful individual who wants nothing more than to be useful and wanted, while hiding her own problems deep inside of her closet.  “I have to try my best not to be useless or I’ll just be trash.”  Looking for… + + + An individual who wants a helper/gullible servant/buffbot in their pocket/etc! Long term connections! Kini is the kind of character that I can come up with almost anything to get them involved with another character’s story. I dearly enjoy her and would love to get her some long lasting, serious & meaningful RP. Despite outward impressions, she is a mature, dark-themed character and would be a great support to any bad guys, mercenaries or individuals needing a helping hand. She is extremely talented with buff magic (it’s the only magic she truly knows outside of minor healing cantrips,) which is probably her best hook.

Mana Mizu (PvE main | LFRP post)  & C’laihn Venator (Namesake)  I do not have specific idea hooks for them currently, but they are open as well for anything because yas RP?! (Mana especially!)
