Are archive locked fics considered 'publicly available on AO3?' I just recently locked all my fics because of the bot scrapping and I don't know if that means I don't qualify anymore

Short answer: Yes, that still counts! Since you have to have an AO3 account in order to sign up for the remix, any archive-locked fics will still be available to the person who will match with you.

Longer answer: Eagle-eyed readers will notice that the fic qualifications and art qualifications are slightly different: a fic needs to be "publicly available on AO3", while art needs to be "publicly available".

In order to keep things simple, writers need to have enough qualifying pieces on AO3, as this is fast and easy for the mod team to verify.

Since we expanded to artists in recent years, and due to the fact that AO3 doesn't host images itself, we had to remove the "on AO3" bit for artists. Artists instead "must be able to provide one place so a partner can view all of their potential works. This can be a personal gallery, art instagram, tumblr tag, AO3 account, etc."
