I split the bracket into 2 groups of 16 by amount of fandom tag followers. Popular fandoms in Side A, obscure fandoms in Side B. Matchups were random seeded in each side.

Is it possible for audience members to submit in photos to be used for these polls? It makes me a little sad to see the LL girls having graphics with outdated and old designs (Nico) or just the standard design (Rina) when they both have really good cards you can see on google...

An Idol of Appliyama 470 group in the series. She became an idol to make her hard-working and busy mother smile, and wishes to extend this to others too. She's an idol while also being an Appli-driver helping solve Appmon virus problems happening in the show.

Cheri Sono

- Submitting her because that one anon said everyone in the show is basically a fictionalized version of a real idol/canonically their pseudo-reincarnation, but I remembered that Chieri specifically is not one.

Arguably only one of the main nine girls is a "successor", and she is not voiced by the idol the character is a reincarnation of, so saying NO NAME are effectively THOSE real people is like saying any other idol group who happen to be voiced by a real idol group are "just" expies of...a different but related real idol group, but I won't submit the other seven as it's moreso implied they'll eventually become successors than explicitly important that they're not, and if that's a deal breaker so be it.

I just have fond memories of the show and its cool idol space battles so I want to put forward at least one character to honor it.

- Utau is a baddie!! Voiced by Nana Mizuki and featuring character songs to enjoy (Meikyuu Butterfly, Black Diamond, Blue Moon, and Heartful Song), shes literally an icon. Who can resist a long haired pigtail anime queen?? Not to mention her dreams of being angelic and her dreams of being demonic at odds with each other... vote Utau Hoshina!!

- She's peak cringefail wet cat of a girl. Rock-bottom-and-digging-core. I ove her so much. Little gobblin. <3

On a more serious note, she is such an unusual character for an idol. A former idol fan, which gives her an insight into what fans want from her performance. Plus, and more importantly, her mental health tribulations make her such a complex and interesting character, and very relatable to us mere mortals. Makes her character more down to earth.

I want to study her under a microscope for a hundred years!!!

An extra plus is the two toned hair. She is so cute looking omgggg

Her motivation started to drop however, when her manager started to only assign her to variety shows and skits, when what she really wanted to do is stand up on stage like everyone else. This caused her to quit and lose sight of her dream. Fast forward to meeting Minori and the help of Shizuku's words, she went back to pursuing her dreams as a member of MORE MORE JUMP! As the story progresses she learns to accept her variety show persona as a part of her, a part of her that had let her grow to where she was now

- Airi is very silly and silly is good

- Airi is a girl who has the true heart of an idol, who gave up once after feeling like she lost control of her image as an idol, yet still holds on to those feelings to try again eventually, and wants to be seen for those feelings even if she struggles to show them genuinely at times.

She really can do everything, and does often.

- Loved being an idol so much that even dying young won't keep her from still performing (she's a ghost that possesses a living idol and performs using his body)

- An idol who died in the peak of her carreer (sad) is helping a dumbass who became an idol to get "easy money" to be a great male idol, sometimes even possesing the dumbass body

- Asahi is so pure about being an idol, while trying to fulfill her tragically unfinished idol dream while she's just a ghost

- She is one of those princely type idols who is a HUGE flirt with all of her girl fans (which she has a lot of). However, despite her gallant on-stage persona, backstage, she lounges around in sweats and is a HUGE nerd. There are definitely meant to be yuri vibes between her and Mana Misonoo.
