When we say we are ready for Nygmobblepot

We are not saying we are ready for it to become canon. We are not saying we are ready for a makeout session. We are not saying we are ready for a confession.

We are saying we are ready for interaction. Even if that interaction is anger. Nygmobblepot is just a downright amazing concept with them just even glaring at each other is phenomenal. Oswald and Edward have such an interesting and unique bond with each other that plays out in both violence and love. They are both drawn to each other and forever will be no matter how many times they express wanting to kill the other. Both Ed and Oswald could not even think about taking over Gotham because their minds were set on each other and each other only.

And it’s not just the characters, the actors have such strong chemistry with each other and truly enjoy working together and it plays out in the show.

Nygmobblepot is fun to watch, no matter what the circumstances. So even though many of us want Nygmobblepot to become canon, the show has made it just as enjoyable no matter how these two feel about each other.

I know we joke a little about ben mckenzie bringing nygmobblepot together in season 4 episode 4 and stuff but real talk, I’m so happy for him and so proud???

like, ben clearly cares so much about the show. we got to see him direct last season (and I personally really liked that episode, he did such a fantastic job) and now we get to see an episode that he wrote. whenever he’s spoken about it he seems so happy and so sincere when he talks about how thankful he is to get the opportunity.

he’s worked so damn hard and he knows full well that this might be the only episodes he directs and writes but he’s just so happy to be given even once shot at it??? seriously, he’s just so talented and kind and cares a lot about the work he’s doing and I’m just really hyped to see what he’s come up with for episode 4!
