in my novel, mary anne didn't finish ninth grade, she's smart but only book smart. she wanted to finish school but her father took her out of school to make her use her mediumship powers to help the church.

she's currently trying to get her ged or maybe an actual diploma so she can go to college ( the first in her family to go to proper college ) and earn her degree to teach art.
