Batter up! Strike one! Hey, the game has just begun And the home team’s out to win. There he swings! Strike two! At the pitcher’s dipsy doo. Gee, that fastball popped right in! This is it! Strike three! Fans are tearin’ up the chairs, But what the heck who cares!

“Wow,” Scooter stood silent and stared at Rarity wide-eyed with a satisfied smile across his face as he clasped his hooves to hers, cheeks tinging with rosy mauve as he felt his adrenaline pumping and heart racing. 

“Y-you’re welcome,” he hesitantly reciprocated with a peck on her forehead.

Rarity blushed as he listed all the things he thought she was. She leaned down, gently resting a hoof over him. “Scooter…that’s so very very nice of you to say! I had no idea you had those kinds of feelings for me, and I’m so incredibly honored.”

“Aw, I’m glad,” Scooter said with a genuine smile of relief. holding Rarity’s hoof.

“Sigh... Rarity, you’re really something..."

   Scooter felt tense and extremely skittish, afraid he might embarrass himself in front of her.

“I think you’re... I think you’re...” 

He took a deep breath and proceeded to answer with confidence, anticipating the big answer. 

“...I think you’re fantastic, smart, beautiful, kind, ambitious, and a cute ball of sunshine! And I really like you... a LOT!”

“GAH!!” he wilted to the ground and hyperventilated in his shirt.
