the way signalis reuses and references so many great pieces of media is fascinating, it gives them their own identity within the game while also potentially hinting that they in some way resonate with the song of the universe? like the aisle of life paintings, hp lovecraft novels or die toteninsel/raindrop prelude could inspired by visions from the same mysterious places we see in cutscenes. i feel like it also brings up themes about how art connects us all buuuut that’s just my interpretation

i ran out of paper in my sketchbooks but i wanted to draw falke

i had a dream last night about a scenario in signalis where an elster dodged adler’s knife in the ending and wound up roaming in the red desert for many more loops, forgetting ariane and their promise and becoming increasingly battered and broken. the red accents in her design also became blue for some reason, i still can’t tell if that actually happens in the game cause i’ve seen her depicted with a blue band on her arm a lot? eventually another elster wound up finding her on her journey to the penrose and i don’t remember what happened after but is this a good idea for an au or something
