I'm fascinated by tinhatters. It's such a common phenomenon in fandoms, if there's a movie or show with two actors who have good chemistry, they're always there. And somehow, they never noticed that they fell into the same patterns. Every tinhatter is convinced that the x and y actors are truly in love and they're not just out of touch with reality like those people who ship actor z and actor q in other fandom. Their ship is just different, its real, no matter their theories and excuses have been the same in every rpf for decades. I'm old enough* to have seen it so many times, but at the same time I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching them, I'm glad I found your blog, even though I haven't even watched Good Omens yet 😅 I've read the book and heard the show is a bit like spn (the fandom is just as unhinged it seems) so it's time to finally watch it 💙

Seriously, are you giving a definition of what it means to have parasocial behavior and complaining that they have it with Michael and David? You? Is this really coming from the person who takes it VERY personally when people talk badly about their favorite celebrities?

Georgia isn't your girlfriend, your sister, your wife, your friend, your mother, or whoever the hell you want her to be, enough to literally have a blog defending her. Do you think she's secretly happy to have you here? That she'll thank you? Wake up, honey. You can't complain about the parasocial behavior of tinhaters, because you behave the same way.

I can already see you responding: "Oh, but I'm not like them, because I don't hate her and I don't say bad things about her!" Do you think you're a better person because you're defending a celebrity? You're literally harassing strangers here, and talking without knowing anything about them. Besides, you don't know her; you don't know what she's really like. You're also creating an idyllic image about a woman you don't really know, and you're defending something you don't really know for sure.

Look, I don't know you, but I find it difficult to put all the "tinhatters" and the word parasocial in the same sentence. Clearly, most of them aren't. It's the opposite! They ship Shennant not because they want to be with them, but because they want them to be together. I mean, that's the point. Saying they're jealous of Georgia or Anna is ridiculous. They're not interested in the men in a romantic sense. They want both of them to be together.

Well... saying Amy's thing is parasocial is perhaps more accurate, because she's quite vocal about it (ffs). But the others? I don't think so. Stop misinforming and distorting. The Shennant fandom wants Michael and David together. Sorry but I've been in fandoms where the hatred toward other actors' couples is completely unjustified, but in this case I think Georgia is really annoying. And no, it's not misogyny. She's not a poor victim. I'm a woman, and I know that not all women should be put on a pedestal just because they're women. That's sexist. If a woman belittles a man, she should also be called out. Period.

Ingrav had reposted a gifset with that scene and said something like "yessss David" in the tags. I just sighed, because she doesn't know that David is talking about people like her. People who hate on his wife, and turn him as a person into a sex appeal for Michael sheen are also part of the problem. Jesus Fucking Christ
