What is Happening in Cuba?

- Hospitals are collapsing.

- There is barely any medication or food.

- The dictatorship government is selling basic essential items to small towns in EUROS.

- The dictatorship government is ACTIVELY REFUSING humanitarian aide.

- 7,000+ daily COVID-19 cases.

- Massive lines for rationed food portions.

- Large death tolls daily.

The people of Cuba should not have to suffer like this. The government abuses them so severely yet so few people in the US are comfortable to even talk about. This isn’t just a small problem, it’s a fucking CRISIS!!! We are talking about human beings who have no access to properly portioned meals or the life saving medications they need. People are dying and the government is doing nothing to help their people.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!

What up with Cuba

1.) Some Cubans are upset at their government and are protesting

2.) US media, especially in Miami, points to it as the ultimate sign that the Cuban people are ready to overthrow their evil communist overlords, and all they need is a slight little extra helping hand from the US government 🥺

3.) The Cuban government points at US support for the protests, as well as US-funded NED operations aimed at encouraging anti-government civil society in Cuba, to prove that any protest of Cubans disagreeing with the government is actually an imperialist ploy. This, to them, is proof that they’re right to forcibly stamp out political dissent on the island, because all of that dissent might just be a hidden US coup.

4.) This feedback loop allows both US imperialists and the Cuban government to resist making any changes to their strategy in response to new protests, which themselves often don’t actually fit into either of their narratives very well.

5.) This sequence of events has happened once every couple years for the last several decades, and will continue happening as long as US policy is aimed at overthrowing the Cuban government. Each new protest will be proof we’re doing the right thing to our government, and proof that they’re doing the right thing to the Cuban government. For them, the content of the protest is almost irrelevant.

“After over 60 years of dictatorship, Cubans all over the island, are taking to the streets to protest the regime.”

“Cubans are tired of communists ruining their lives. Protestors are chanting in front of Communist Party Headquarters "Cuba isn't yours!"”

“An unprecedented rising up of the long repressed Cuban people against the totalitarian regime that has run Cuba for over 6 decades, demanding an end to the communist dictatorship screaming “we are not afraid… we are not afraid.”
