𝙷𝙴 𝙵𝙴𝙻𝚃 𝙰𝚂 𝙵𝙰𝚁 𝙰𝚂 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙼𝙾𝙾𝙽. prince and his company akin to the royals nestled in a recluse world of their own. the two sat on the trimmed grass of fire nation grounds, alongside their outstretched shadows and messenger hawks. he’s careful to have their backs to the tall walls that isolate them from the rest of the world — their private nook, decorated in silence.
perched under the shade of a tree, zuko’s golden hues stare at the walls of the palace, an egregious reminder of his father’s bitterness and the misery boiling within the rumblings of his upset stomach. he slumps forward with either elbow pressing deep into clothed knees, royal garments wrinkling under his weight. fingers curl into crescents into his palm, pyro - heat radiating off the pads of his fingers. a threat to burn the skin if he’s not careful. a hollow expression drowns the infernal charm of his face, leaving him, instead, boyish and immature in tifa’s wake ( that thirteen year old kid again, a sheep to a wolf, pleading for an audience. a tragedy in the making ).
