Not my usual post, but found out something this week which I suspected, but never had any proof, until now.
It just represents an example of the cesspool social media can be. This dates back to 2016, where I became acquainted with a friend on social media. The acquaintance grew into a full blown relationship that continued until 2019. I have reams of communication between myself and the person I met. I have letters, audio, video, pictures and chats on what’s app.
I was warned of the signs of deceit, hatred, mixed in with protestations of love & desire. We met on multiple occasions over a 4 year period. She told me of an illness she was enduring, told all her contacts of this kidney cancer, portrayed her chemo treatments to her tribe, up until her death.
I had suspicions and doubts, and after meeting for the last time 2 months before her death, she was someone who appeared to be in deaths door. She and one of her friends wrote a long series of goodbyes to all of her friends. She in her final attempt of communicating wrote a vile and hateful email filled with threats.
She disappeared and even portrayed a final death and goodbye through her family members. I never could identify any records supporting this so I gave up for my own sanity. I did keep her contact information in my contacts.
Low and behold her number & name suddenly appeared in a texting app referencing her phone number with references to her illness on a profile. I have played with the idea of checking her number over the years, but always resisted. Any thoughts of anger and revenge left me long ago. Her profile is still available all these years later, like taunting those people that succumbed to her friendship
Just another example of the pains of relationships and the deceit prevalent on social media.
