I’m finding it really hard to get myself started. I don’t know how to spark the flame that I need to get myself going. I feel as though my energy- physical AND emotional- is just pretty much non-existent. I am exhausted on a daily basis and so it is hard to motivate myself like I used to be able to.
All I can really do is keep striving towards my goals. Since I’m having a hard time with so many I want to focus specifically on 2 for the time being.
1) Fixing my sleep schedule
Lately I have been staying up all night and going to bed as late as 6am and waking up before I have work at 5pm. This needs to change. I would like to start working towards waking up at around 10am and going to bed at about midnight.
2) Drinking enough water
I don’t drink nearly enough water so I want to start by drinking 8 cups of water a day. I want to eventually increase this because I feel that I should be drinking more.
These two goals are going to be the start of getting into my routine!

Routine
I feel like the biggest issue for me in getting started is trying to create a routine. Every day is different for me so I need to figure out a way to create routine and habits. I think I need to first start with my sleep schedule. Honestly, I have never had a normal sleep schedule. I’ve always been a night owl and that makes it really hard to get up in the morning. The first step for me is probably going to be to try to get my sleep schedule in order while I simultaneously add in little healthy habits. Seeing as I go to sleep anywhere from 3-5 in the morning, I will have to slowly change that. This is my plan for the week:
Week of 9: 9/10/17- 9/16/17
-Go to sleep no later than 2am
-Drink 1 gallon of water a day
-Have 2 cups of detox elixir daily (Apple Cidar Vinega + grapefruit juice)
-Do three daily exercises
-Walk 10,000 steps a day

Beginnings
Alright, here goes. After years of telling myself “This is it, I’m getting back to my weight loss journey” and bailing, I’m finally keeping myself honest. I figure it’s time I put myself fully out there and get right to it. It’s been so long since I’ve done this and I don’t know if anyone will read my posts but having a fitspo tumblr when I was in high school helped me drop about 30 pounds so what do I have to lose?
I’m going to start by introducing myself. While I’m a bit too nervous to put my real name on here, any followers I have can call me Hope. I’m currently 5′4 and around 180 pounds. When I was in high school I became obsessed with losing weight. I was going back and forth between “thinspo” and “fitspo” so I’m not sure how much of my weight loss was healthy, but I got pretty thin in comparison to how I used to look. About a year after I started my journey I was hit with Binge Eating Disorder. It lasted quite a long time, a bit of my junior year and most of my senior year of high school. I felt completely out of control. It took some time but I regained my control and was able to cope with it as much as possible. I still struggle with small binge episodes but for the most part I am better. This Binge Eating Disorder did cause the downfall of my journey and brought me from 130 to 150 pounds.
After graduation I got a breast reduction and so I wasn’t really working out anymore because of recovery. By the time that I was ready to go again I had my first boyfriend and was a freshman in college. You can imagine those two things did not help my waistline. I told myself it was all because I didn’t have time but really I was just lazy. Three years later I have jumped from 150 to 180. I have constantly struggled with trying to get back on the horse but committing to this lifestyle is hard. I’m hoping that this time I can keep myself to a new journey.
GOALS:
Alright enough boring talk about my background: here are my goals.
While I am starting small, I thought I should list my BIG GOALS first.
-My ultimate goal weight (can obviously change once I get close) is 130 pounds again.
Other goals I have for myself:
-Become a daily runner
-Be able to do pull-ups/ lift body weight
-Work on mental health and loving my body
I am sick of being an enemy to my body. I am working towards a total and complete change in my life and attitude. This is it. I’m going to do this.
