hi! this is my first lifting haul (that i’ve posted) i used to lift almost every day in summer of 2018 but slowed down when school started. i also was really dumb and literally went to the same places every day with the same people lol. so i’m not sure if they knew what was going on (probably did) or they just didn’t care? anyways, here’s my haul that i got in the last few days! i stopped lifting for a while and just recently got back into it so it’s a little small but i’m proud!!
5 below/ 2 freeman’s face mask $5 each. basically the 5b by my house has no cameras and only like one worker so it’s a gold mine if it has the things you want. they carry a bunch of freeman’s shit and that’s my fav face mask brand so it’s so fun going in there.
family $/ clean n clear makeup wipes 3$ freeman’s face scrub 2$ eyebrow shavers 3$ beauty sponge 3$ basically this store is super easy if you know what your doing. mine has some cameras but no LP and barely any SAs. they also recently re arranged the whole store (i literally have no clue how ?? like every shelf was moved and new cameras were put up) so it was a new layout over all easy.
C V S/ 3 pack of hair elastics 9$ (way to over priced like wtf) scandalous mascara by rimmel 9$ the creme shop macro brow 13$ the creme shop eye brow pompom 16$ the creme shop blemish control primer 16$. i was super happy to get all of that because i haven’t bought or lifted makeup in a while. the cvs near me is kinda a shit show lol. really old security cameras (99% sure they don’t even work) and one cashier who does literally everything (stocks, cleans, runs photos, literally everything) and one person in the pharmacy who’s always playing on their phone. i almost got caught because i was in a blind spot about to shove shit in my bag and something told me not to and i looked up and the cashier was right there.
torrid/ 1st pair $16.90 2nd pair last 3 pairs were all 18.90. literally torrid is my favorite place to lift from by far because all their leggings bras and panties are untagged. some of their clothes are cute but i don’t own a magnet so i never can get anything. but their bras panties and leggings fit me so well and make me feel so confident. it’s sometimes hard to lift from there because every SA is literally up your ass but there’s no cameras and if they are busy it’s a gold mine. i did notices tho that they started tagging their braletts? i’m not sure when they started doing that because i haven’t been there in almost 8 months. but i have over 30 braletts from there (all lifted!!!) so i’m good with those.
GRAND TOTAL!! $157.60
i honestly don’t think it would of been that much if it wasn’t for those torrid panties. literally so overpriced for no fucking reason.

this is my original post!! i’ve tried this method a few times before and it’s so fuckin easy, you can just quickly walk through a crowd and conceal this way/right behind a shelf or counter/literally anywhere. it’s so fast too, idk if anyone thought of this before but yea i’m disproportionately proud lmao. sorry for the shit drawing, i only used my phone+finger

YOOOOO did you ever make the list on tips for Torrid? The plus size bitches are hollerin for it
Omfg I did not (bc those hoes have me WERKIN for the holiday season)
Okay general rules!!!!
💕💕💕
They dont chase
They will not confront
They can’t touch you
They cannot outright accuse you of stealing
At my store, we dont count for SHIT so take as much as you want back there. But be careful because some stores are different ladies!!! (And men, whoever decides to read this)
They tag 100% of items, EXCEPT FOR FOUNDATIONS. THIS INCLUDES JEANS, SHIRTS, HATS, JEWELRY (sometimes) WALLETS, AND ACTIVE WEAR. the bras and undies will not be tagged so there’s that.
Our tags generally come off with strong magnets. I suggest carrying a golf detacher bc easy, portable, and strong enough to do some damage. Be careful bc tags can change from store to store.
My store has no cams. None. Nothing whatsoever. HOWEVER THIS DOES NOT MEANS EVERY TORR!D WONT HAVE CAMS. BE SMART. CHECK BEFORE CONCEALING ON FLOOR.
Fitting rooms are locked and each SA has keys. If ya need to conceal before ya go in and try on, do so on floor or in the fitting room area and then holler for a room and try on decoy clothing. This also works if your SAs count items.
Holidays are a shit busy time of year. Seasonal workers are just getting used to the flow of things and managers are stressed as fuck and tryin to keep everything together. Use this mess to ur advantage. My manager is losing sleep. She tired. We complain about HELLA EVERYTHING. it’s hell.
The more foot traffic your store gets, the more hectic the atmosphere in the store can appear. Check foot traffic and busy times on google before you plan out your trip and use that to your advantage as well. The more people, the more likely they are to be understaffed.
💕💕💕
As always, be smart, use ur head, and appear confident enough to know what ya doin!! Let me know if there are any specific questions or concerns y’all have and I’ll try my best to answer them.
PLUS SIZE BITCHES UNITE. GO GET YASELF SOME HOT ASS SHIT. SOME CUTE BRALETTES TO TRAP A MAN. HOT ASS DRESS TO WEAR TO THE CLUB. SEXY LEGGINGS TO WEAR UNDER A CROP TOP. U DO U BOO BOO.

The Lift-Witch complete and comprehensive guide on how to lift without a magnet or hook
Different tags can be removed different ways, some of which I won’t go into to here only because I want these tips to be as general as possible in order to be helpful to more people. These tips will work on every tag I’ve ever encountered except 2alarm or 3alarm tags which are the physical embodiment of the devil.
These techniques are tried and tested personally by me, my favourite and most foolproof techniques are marked with an asterisk(*).
Do not read this expecting some miracle technique, this is all just common sense. Also do not try these all in one go, work on each technique one by one and polish your skills to avoid getting cocky or sloppy.
Sus= suspicious, getting caught or being close “Don’t act sus” “security looked super sus” “I hope they don’t sus me out” “I think my mum has sussed out where all these new things are coming from”
*IMPORTANT INFO TO REMEMBER BEFORE DETAGGING* 1. Never detag on the shop floor, take items into the changing room and detag and conceal in your bag or under clothes in there. Sneak items into the changing room unseen by: - slipping items into your bag or pockets or down the front of your trousers or bra in a blindspot (an area where you cannot be seen by cameras, be sure that no staff or customers can see you either) - dumping an open, mostly empty shopping bag below a rail of clothes then subtlety dropping clothes on the hanger into the bag in a blindspot (this one requires super awareness of who can and can’t see you behind your back, very dangerous and not for rookies) when you then pick up this bag be sure to cover the opening of it with your jacket or clothes which you wish to take into the changing room - slipping small items into the pockets of a coat or pair of jeans that you’ll then take into the changing room (stick to things like small wallets and jewellery that are found within or near the clothing section, it will look weird if you are carrying a big coat around the electronics) - *hanging more than one item on a hanger is the easiest and most fool proof way of getting items into the changing room to detag. Grab something chunky and something long, like a floaty dress and and a chunky cardigan or jacket, then hang what ever you want on the neckline of one of the items, you can also hang things on the back loops of jeans, the loop sometimes found on the inside of jacket or a looped label. A few things to watch out for: jackets may fall off the hanger due to the extra weight and reveal your concealment, and make you look nervous and sus, you can avoid this by closing up the jacket, this will also hide the item hung on the jackets loop far better. And make sure to pass a mirror before entering the changing rooms to check if you have any hangers sticking out and hold something against yourself as if you’re checking to make sure it suits you so you don’t look sus. Also if the fitting room attendant takes the items off of you and find the double hung items you can just act dumb and say “oh I knew I had more items” “oops sorry I forgot I was making an outfit” it sounds out of the ordinary but it’s never not worked for me. 2. Some paper tags and barcode stickers have RFID tags hidden inside, these can be deactivated by making a tear which ruins the electronic signal, but I prefer to be leave these behind inside the pockets of jeans or a coat. 3. Always take a pair of jeans or a coat with lots of pockets I to the changing room to hide all your tags in, I find a coat is best because you can hang hangers inside to make more space inside your bag which looks less sus and leaves more room for more stolen goods. A coat isn’t always available though or looks sus in the summer but jeans are stocked year round so is a safe bet. Always remember to take anything that you left tags inside back out to the shop floor and dump somewhere messy in the store or back where you found it, never give it to the changing room attendant! If they find the tags it will be almost impossible to talk your way out of it. 4. Ink tags are not there as a deterrent, they are never fake and do contain ink that will stain your skin and your clothes if it is broken open and it will break open if you are too rough and you will be caught for sure. You need to be super careful with ink tags, super super careful. 5. Do not over stuff your bags, you might as well write “shoplifter” across your forehead in day glow glitter if you’re gonna walk around with a over stuffed bag.
Okay detagging techniques: 1. *Yank the tag, just yank it. Pull the fabric taut and yank the tag itself firmly until there is a rip in the fabric big enough to pull the tag through. Be careful not to pull too hard and make a big, suspicious noise and a big ugly hole. With ink tags you’re better to hold the tag at the edge, and yank softly but firmly, if you keep your hands on the sides it shouldn’t break. 2. Using a seam ripper to make a hole big enough to pull the tag through, get the seam ripper as close to the pin that hold the tag on the garment as possible and dig the point I to the hole made by the pin and push forward softly to rip the fabric. A seam ripper is a tiny metal tool, sort of like a two pronged fork with a razor between the prongs, it is used for ripping out bad seams believe it or not but works just as well on fabrics. Keep your seam ripper inside a small sowing kit inside your bag so that if you get searched you can say you just carry it as part of the kit in case of a wardrobe malfunction, this will get you a far more lenient punishment than if you were caught with the seam ripper on its own. You can find these in any haberdashers and most craft stores. 3. A small pair of nail scissors is also good for digging at the hole made by the pin to make a big enough gap for the tag to come through. Again carry it inside a small nail care kit with nail files and polish and things so you cannot be charged with “going equipped” to steal. 4. A craft knife does the same job but if you are found carrying these around it could look super weird so I’d suggest not carrying these or cutting a small slit in the lining of your handbag and slipping it in there. 5. Plant clippers or socateurs with a thin set of blades will easily cut through tag pins and wires but make a loud sus sound when they snip and could get you caught. Also are much harder to explain or hide than a craft knife, I’d suggest hiding in the handbag lining and only carry them if you truly 100% need them.
Hiding your tags DO NOT LEAVE THEM BEHIND IN THE CHANGING ROOM this is how most shoplifters got caught when I worked in retail. You must hide them and there are a few ways to do this: 1. Take the tags with you and hide them in the pockets of jackets and jeans as you walk about, this is super dangerous and should only be done if the other three methods are impossible. 2. *Hide tags inside the pockets of a jacket or pair of jeans or anything with pockets that you brought into the changing room with you, when you leave do not give the item with hidden tags to the changing room attendant, take it with you and out it so wwheres messy or back where you found it so that the tags will not be found until you are long gone. 3. Tape tags to the bottom of the changing room stool, be careful because the tape might make noise when you peel it and the tag could be found as you leave, fairly risky. 4. If the changing room dividers are thick enough you can reach up and set the tag on top of it. I have been back to shops I did this to a year ago and the tags are still there covered in dust ahahah be careful not to drop the tags I to other changing rooms or too near the door where someone might see your hand.
NOW PLEASE FOR MY SANITY STOP WITH THE ROOKIE ASS QUESTIONS
If I missed anything out feel free to add relevant and informative tips, no falsies please xxx

GETTING CAUGHT STORIES
Because every lifter should read these because when y‘all get sloppy and overconfident, y’all GET CAUGHT. (not all are getting caught, some are getting stopped/getting chased and those are just as important to read)
Caught at Urban Outfitters

LIFTING AT (U)(L)(T)(A) TIPS, FROM AN EMPLOYEE🕵🏻‍♀️ 2018
hey guys, since i’ve started a job at the notorious Orange Beauty Store of Death, i decided i’d share some info!
so called store has waaaay upped their security, there’s white boxes on almost all high end palettes, and stickers underneath those as well.
EMPTY PACKAGES
please don’t be the idiot i was and leave empty packages behind. WE NOTICE! and managers keep track! in the back room, we have a ‘heat map’ which is a layout of the store and we place a dot wherever an empty package is found, so we KNOW where y’all are hiding. especially at the end of the night when closers do a sweep of the store and get any empty packages— even if you ‘hide’ them.
CAMERAS
so in the store i work at, we have two screens (that i know of) that monitor the cameras. one at the cash registers, and one in the managers office. so when i’m cashiering, i can go to the computer monitor and see what everyone is doing. i don’t know if this is standard for all stores, but this is definitely prevalent where i live, which is a fairly unknown safe place. we keep eyes on EVERYONE
WHAT THEY LOOK FOR
1. bags from other stores that aren’t nearby
2. people making circles around the store
3. people looking around, esp at workers
4. if you go into fragrance, we say “fragrance” on our mic so someone will go monitor that area
5. we also use our mics to say stuff like “lady in red dress by prestige haircare looks like she needs some help” etc., if they’re sus, they WILL “help” you out A LOT.
LP
th ulta i work at gad no LP, or plainsclothes LP. managers have their own procedure of making sure theft doesn’t happen, which i unfortunately don’t know much about. i haven’t seen anyone’s photo or such hanging up in the back room, but if there has been a series of multiple thefts in a small amount of time, they’ll treat EVERYONE as a suspect. one time we caught a guy who, a few days before, had stolen $1800 worth of fragrances and stuff.
it is standard procedure to be greeted and asked if needed help so don’t let that sus you, but if it happens 2+ times id evacuate
WHEN TO GO?
i’ve found that the best times to go are mon-we’d. after 6 pm, when it’s usually left to just closing manager and one or two employees, one by the cash register and the other on the floor. that’s when managers are busy doing clearance, reports, etc. and if it gets busy, we’re scrambling and not paying too much attention to others and just more on getting people out and finishing closing work as early as possible.
did this help?? lmk if y’all have any questions💕💕

Sephora Tips
ok so my sephora goes hard af and i try to not lift from there unless i have to and its mainly where i developed sleight of hand techniques and stuff so basically this is a sephora techniques post enjoy
Your look basically for sephora you want to look super done up and chic but also want to look young you know what i mean? old people dont wear much makeup but if you can make yourself look like a thirty year old business woman go for it even better. anyway for makeup you want to go for the mac snob look (think racially ambiguous eyeliner sharp enough to kill a man kylie jenner inspired type of thing) and have it be full out but not overly done up like a drag queen. for clothes wear something pretty basic but make it work i usually go with high waisted light blue jeans rolled up to just above the ankle, a loose grey crop top (just long enough to touch the top of the jeans), and sneakers and a push up bra. aim to look like youre in your mid twenties with lotsa $$ to spend. i like to have a small structured crossbody bag because its not something you would suspect for someone to be shoplifting with but if youre gonna be getting like ten nakeds just get something that looks smaller from the outside
The techniques
1. this works mainly for eyeliners, brushes, thin and long pallettes whatever. basically, you want to pick up your thing and examine it. look at the ingredients, read the package, check your phone to see if its the same one or something look like youre considering it. then you want to go to put it back and when youre putting it back, flip your hand so that the product is covered from any cameras by your hand, and then reach a little deeper into the shelf so that no one could see if you actually put it back or not, and shove it discreetly up your sleeve using just your fingers. this takes lots of practice to flawlessly execute so practice at home with a pen or something so that you know what youre doing. then just walk around to a blindspot where you can slip it into your purse while jambling around for your phone
2. this is a continuation of the sleeve method because my sephora had no natural blindspots and was always pretty crowded so i had to be inventive. say you have your thing up your sleeve and you want to transfer it to your purse. all you want to do is to reach up to scratch your nose or adjust your bra strap or something and while bringing your hand down, let it pass over the top of your purse and let it drop in. that easy and if done quickly enough is so undetectable
3. the phone method. everyones heard of this one but this is such a thing for me i use it all the time for small eyeshadow singles, blushes, flatter concealer or foundation tubes etc. you want to pick up two of your product and keep one kind of enclosed in your fist while examining the other package. then just put one of the two back in its spot and (still in your fist) let your sleeve fall over the other one. then just move your phone into the hand that you have it in and walk around a bit and leave.
4. like the phone method but with a pallette instead. you want to be carrying a pallette in your hand as you approach the product you want to take. do the same as in technique 3 but with your pallette. browse around for a bit more before heading toward the cash area, but before you get there, stop and put the pallette down somewhere. quickly (so no one sees you have anything in your hand) drop your hand to your purse and take out your wallet while dropping your item, and look inside like you have only a limited amount of cash to spend and your pallette exceeds that, put on a disappointed show and leave. i like this better than the phone method because depending on the size of the pallette you can get more items this way
@ #2 say your purse is on your left side and the item is in your right sleeve, maybe reach up your right sleeve on the other side of your arm to itch it (ofc don’t do this too frequently bc too much itching can be perceived as anxiety) and transfer the sleeve item to your purse like from your right hand to left hand passing over your purse? if that makes sense I’m sorry haha
*repost because antis found the original and it had over 800 notes, credit goes to the defuct blogs stolenmerch and lifting-light*

Luxury Leather Lifting Masterpost
So I’ve recently lifted some really high end leather goods and I have some tips! Here goes:
General:
-You want Mike Körs, K8 Späde, and Töry Bürch? Go to a luxury department store that is too busy protecting their multiple thousand dollar Guccï and Pradä bags to worry about an $88 KS Wallet.
-Big Stores are your best bet. If you have one with multiple floors (4+ is best) then you’re basically golden.
Little Wallets/Card Holders:
-These are a luxury leather lifter’s bread and butter. They are generally untagged and easy to conceal.
-Grab one and start walking around like it’s yours. Find a blindspot (middle of the stairs is usually a good bet) and pocket it. Walk out. Done.
Big Wallets:
-These are significantly harder. They may be tagged and you must check thoroughly. Even if they aren’t your favorite style choose an untagged piece over a tagged one 100% of the time. Do not attempt on a whim and be prepared to dump at anytime.
-This is the level of item where if removed from a shelf an SA might approach you and talk about the leather or ask to put it behind the desk for you. Smile, look pretty and even pleased they customer serviced you. Thank them, but you’re ‘just browsing thank you’
-When the SA is distracted in some capacity select an untagged wallet and head calmly and confidently for the stairs/escalators. This wallet is yours and it would ridiculous if someone thought otherwise.
-Conceal on the stairs or in some blindspot on a different floor. You could also just walk out acting like it’s yours (this has worked for me in the past), but I prefer to conceal if possible. Either way, congrats on your new designer wallet
Handbags:
-The Holy Grail. Attempt at your own risk. I recommend you carry at least $300 cash on you to flash in case of emergency (if you don’t have that money start smaller and boost then try this). Best when you are dressed to kill and wearing something easier to lift that is identifiably designer (MK belt, KS sunglasses, etc.).
-Enter your store of choice without a handbag but with a designer wallet in your pocket.
-Go to an unattended table of handbags. Don’t even bother with the LV or Fendï counter they’re crawling with SAs. If you pick the right label and you’re in a fancy enough store they will not be tagged.
-The best way to remove a handbag from department stores’ awful minimalist purse displays is to find that one set of purses that looks like little Russian nesting dolls; in other words there is a small bag in the front and a large one in the back (photo attached)
Tumblr media
-The small one is easier but you can take either one. Make sure the other bag is positioned in the middle of the shelf and looks pristine. Carry the bag you took in your hands like it is yours and walk to another floor/area of the store.
-Burn about 5 min looking at clothes or whatever and get comfortable with holding your new purse. At an opportune moment transfer your wallet to the bag. This is also usually enough time to tell if SAs or anyone is onto you. Dump if you feel anything wrong.
-Return to the first floor and walk out nonchalantly with your new bag.
These are what works for me, abandon this advice immediately if something feels sus. Designer handbags are not worth your freedom. Be safe beautifuls and go get that designer leather *blows kiss*
