2025 marks 80 years of Moomin stories. I found these Moomin comic books in a lower shelf in Librarie Flagey in Ixelles. The Moomins were created by Tove Jansson.

About a year ago she contacted me again, telling me she was sick and rethought her life, apologized for all the past shit. I'm not sure what to do with all this, I said OK, sorry for my shit too, but didn't really react to her attempts to chat, so that's that.

Just for once I need to write a personal post anyway.

My ex-bff I haven’t spoken to in nearly 10 years has randomly contacted me on fb, looking for some old website we might have used back in the day. She felt the need to include the following info: “Don’t worry, I’m not trying to make friends again. I live in a happy marriage, have 3 cats, a great career and decent friends.”

Well, bitch, if I wasn’t a decent friend, why can’t you just Google or ask someone else?

Funnily enough, I wouldn’t be where I am if we never met. Both of my current best friends I met through her even though she is not friends with them any more either. So I guess inevitably she wouldn’t be where she is today if our friendship never happened.

So who’s the winner here? At least I don’t lose sleep over trying to remember a website I used 15 years ago.

I literally just found out another word for "omena" (apple) is "omppu", and another word for "banaani" (banana) is "bansku".

I learnt these from my children so I don't know if this is just something kids say.

This day isn’t about allowing society’s standards to twist your mind and victimize you in your own head for not having a romantic/sexual partner currently.
