little bit of a ramble...

I want to thank the Cars fandom for giving me joy and uplifting me when I'm feeling down. No, I haven't been in it as long as some people, yet I'm definitely not brand new like some others. But no matter what, this community - these characters - have rarely let me down

Life hasn't been easy - globally - these past couple of years now and let's face it... there's nothing that feels better than just trying to ESCAPE from it for a while. Yeah no... I can't live in Radiator Springs or the Cars world, but I can immerse myself in it when I'm feeling crappy from news, family, pets being sick, and so much else

Going on 2+ years ago, I had dreams and aspirations to be a semi-professional automobile artist. Then reality hit. Again and again. At this rate, I've felt like I've been run over by a freight train. I've encountered appalling rudeness, sexism, hate, and other despicable behavior in this field. Just recently I saw a "successful female car artist" posing topless on Twitter. Again and again, I am slammed with "unless you show the assets you were born with, no one cares!"

Which is rotten. I'm not showing that stuff

The community who has accepted me though are you Cars folk, and it's drawing this and communicating with you that has given me joy and cheer. Fulfilling your visions by you hiring me to draw your OCs in the Cars-style is amazing. You trust me to do your precious characters well. You treat me like my art matters, not by talent = body type

I am grateful for the Cars community and for all of the lore, headcanons, angst, excitement, art, stories... everything

btw if you've read this far, you're amazing

I know the community isn't as alive as it used to be, which is sad. But by no means is everyone gone! Heck, every time Pixar posts something Cars-related, there are hundreds all over it. So that's reassuring. We aren't gone and we aren't silent

But anyway... I just wanted to take a few minutes to write up a little something about how important this is and how much it has made me happy. Searching for the concept art to put in this was a total blast of serotonin x3

And it inspires me. Its audience isn't going to judge me. It's given me way more of a chance than my original dream was

- He has spare parts, things, and tools scattered everywhere in his garage. If you ask him where the screwdriver is, he will tell you its exact location.

- HE HATES COMBING HIS HAIR, BUT SOMEHOW IT ALWAYS LOOKS NORMAL. HOWW

- Tomber and Finn have something more than friendship, maybe even flirting. But because of work, they don't move on to something more.

- He loves autumn. Dry plants, empty streets and cool weather are what you need for happiness.

ALEXANDER HUGO & IVAN

- They beat each other up even if there's no reason to

- Alex likes to piss Ivan off and then run away from an angry man.

- Ivan takes care of Alex, but without him seeing it. For example, covering a guy with a blanket when he sleeps, or doing something nice unnoticed.

- They're gossiping.

VICTOR HUGO

- - Victor loves gold and elegance

- He pretends that he doesn't care at all, but in fact he doesn't.

- When he gets mugged, he tries to reach out to the other person to hit him, but he can't move because of his disability. Then Alexander comes, and together they run after the offender to beat him up
