HAHAH thank you so much!!! Cookie Run is honestly my favorite game to toy with humanisation-wise because the cookies have strong designs that I try to turn into realistic "everyday people" features. Langue de Chat is very much a little white boy with wrinkles, I don't think he'd be that old considering he's a rookie lawyer, maybe 30 to 35 years old and no more than that, but he's definitely looking older than his age to me. That's his vibe haha.

how’d you pull it off?

Thank you so much! The art in question is so old lmao, I can barely stand looking at it anymore but I'll answer you. I guess I just went with what we know of them in the movies and transposed them as humans. Finn is a spy and a parody of James Bond, being an Aston Martin, so I took inspiration from him and David Niven for his face which was the first pick for Bond instead of Connery. Francisco is an italian pilot so I dressed him in a pilot suit as if he were the driver instead of the car, and the little doctor is the perfect parody of an evil scientist so I tried to pull it off without yassifying him because honestly I don't think he'd be particularly handsome haha. He's a small car and is hinted at having hair loss. I hope it answers your question!

Not only would I consider it, but consider it done my friend B) They actually do go on vacations together in the comics and they're actually pretty decently dressed ghdkfk but ill do my own take on their outfits once they get more comfy around each other... Prepare the Birkenstocks and the Hawaiian shirts 😭🙏

okay what if... antoine and eric were like a foster care household ("famille d'accueil" ?) and one night they get a call about an emergency placement and it's Boulard ?

jxjskdd this is really funny but also it implies so many things.... are they together and helping kids temporarily, or are they just doing this as another job/is this an alternative universe? and also do they previously know him? ill go with yes because it's the most hilarious option but i think both would be quite understanding of the situation actually, and have compassion for him even. eric has very little beef with boulard in the comics when compared with the other teachers (probably because P.E teachers aren't intellectuals themselves and boulard probably even reminds him of himself a little sometimes) and while antoine does have huge and ongoing beef with boulard he's also sensitive enough to understand why a teen would need them and even excuse his shitty school behavior due to his visibly complex social situation. but of course it would be mixed with "Fuck.. not only we're dealing with him at school and now at home too and also huhhhh yeah we're together shut up forever in school about it if you do we leave you to die on the streets (they would never lmao)." boulard on his behalf would not be homophobic about them tbh i think he would just remark that they don't go well together and would gadly have literally any other couple to take care of him. following this talk Éric and Antoine's pride having been destroyed they swear to take care of him even harder lmao

I love them so much... I'm happy that the authors like to constantly draw them side by side and make the whole cast more or less friends because it does bring some cool situations for crazy people like me lmao

How would you describe the typical middle aged middle class French person and what are some of the characterisitcs that intrigue you of this demographic?

Well, it's an interesting question and something I can't really explain as well because it's a mixture of cultural, motivational and nostalgic reasons... Describing this whole demographic online is also tricky because I'm no sociologist, I just Grew Up In A Country tm, but I'll try.

I think I just have a general fondness for them tbh. No matter who they are and what their lives were like growing up there's some kind of mundane aspect to them and their lives that comforts me. This demographic is usually very ritualistic in their habits, their tastes and opinions, but they're also very proud of who they are and they tend to be stubborn in what they believe in... Like, they can be into whatever random hobby, from tai chi to woodworking to wine tasting but they'll always do it with a sense of community and pride that is very endearingly amusing (and super french).

I really like to think about this whole "my life is stable and is stuck into this routine, but what now?" phase of life that they're experiencing. I think personally it's a way for me to reflect both about my past and my future. I don't know if for my generation this kind of quaint, ritualistic life will even be possible so exploring it reassures me in a way, but at the same time it does bring back fond memories of my childhood, the people I met, boring school life and how I imagined it to be for the adults around me. Now that I'm an adult I like to dissect what could it mean for me to become this older lady that just got a divorce, or this older guy that misses his kids that live abroad... I like this idea for any kind of middle aged person generally speaking, but I cannot relate to fictional Americans boomers that much because our countries are too different, so are the nostalgic cultural elements of this whole ordeal. Walmart doesn't evoke anything in me like Carrefour would, that kinda stuff.

I like people in general, and I like to imagine and hear about what their lives are like, so it feels natural for me to dissect something that I'll probably experience someday as well... Teenagers and kids have their own very interesting things and challenges going on too, but these challenges interest me less now that these eras are behind me personally. And ngl, I just really like gossip too. And we french people LOVE that shit. And who likes it even more, even if they strongly deny they do? Middle aged french coworkers, especially in a place with little turnover like an office or a school. So, give it to me!!!

In short : nostalgia, fondness, hope for the future and... Drama, lmao.
