Random doodle. Nothing special.
Honestly? I love Bandana Waddle Dee. He's such a fun character when you really think about it. A regular waddle dee who was so devoted he trained himself to be able to kill God. Like my guy can almost fight on equal footing with Kirby, a being of infinite power. Not to mention his moveset is quite fun

I've been practicing expressions lately.
The subject? A demon named Calypso (named after the nymph from the Odyssey in real life and in universe)
Calypso is the centerpiece of the story I am working on. Here she's depicted as an adult, though the story follows her growing up. Calypso has a lot of ties to the underworld, especially the goddess Makaria, who was appointed her caretaker (due to potentially cataclysmic situations). The two are depicted in the final image.
More about Calypso and her abilities eventually.

I just discovered beta designs for Magolor and I'm obsessed with this one
Tumblr media
So I decided to sketch her
Tumblr media
I sort of had to take creative liberties with what is called Super Magolor (the second form, as far as I know that's what it's called). I had to completely make up the final possessed form.

I love this design!
Makaria is one of those Goddesses where any depiction is accurate since there isn't really an actual depiction of her. I love seeing different interpretations of her
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here, have a post meant to primarily show off my Oc Macaria, daughter of Hades.
not much is known about Macaria / Makaria (name is interchangeable( in greek mythology but what is known is that she is depicted as the daughter of " Hades " and Persephone. she's the goddess of blessed death and is typically tied to butterflies.

Sea Of Sands: Link and... Fi?
Tumblr media
More Sea Of Sands stuff!
Due to reasons better explained in the story, Fi is back, drained of her power, and strangely full of life.
I decided to add Fi to this AU because I really like her design and I thought it would be fun to revisit her and add to her personality thousands of years after Skyward Sword.
Sea Of Sands takes place in the Downfall Timeline, before the original Legend of Zelda and is my way of filling gaps in the lore.
I'll try to draw more soon

Animal of the Week: The Beaver
Tumblr media
Beavers.
We all know what Beavers are.
Beavers are a specialized type of rodent native to North America. They are semi-aquatic and are most often seen around rivers or anywhere with steady moving water.
Beavers have unusual diets that consist of wood. Like the actual wood from the trunks of trees. After digestion they just eat whatever comes out just to get whatever nutrition they left behind.
Beavers have an unusual instinct that no other animal, besides humans, possesses. They will actually stop or slow down water by damming it when they hear fast moving currents. This not only creates an artificial beaver pond, but it can be detrimental to the surroundings. In a lot of places beavers have to be relocated because of these dams destroying fragile ecosystems.
Beaver teeth are insane. Like all rodents the incisors don't stop growing, and, well... See for yourself

Headcanons Regarding Makaria (And other things from my version)
(These are just my own headcanons regarding a figure from ancient mythology. Anyone can have their own headcanons or interpretations, these are just my own.)
Makaria, the Greek Goddess of Blessed Death, sometimes Courage, and as I like to say simply, the Afterlife.
There are several aspects of her personality, powers, and lifestyle that I am going to go over.
-The first of which is the way she presents herself. She chooses light colors and nothing fancy to wear. In more modern times she wears a simple tee and sweatpants, along with her silver bands she wears.
-In this world, every god and goddess wears a set of bands. The different colors denote the different classification of the god, as well as their status in the hierarchy. The gods and goddesses that dwell on Olympus or elsewhere in the sky wear gold bands. The gods and goddesses of Earth wear bronze bands. And the Gods and Goddesses of the Underworld wear silver bands.
-Makaria is the eldest child of Hades and Persephone. She is the most loyal to her father and follows his word and law without question... usually. She does question and even challenge his rule rarely, though whenever she does there's usually a very, very good reason. Usually however she is pretty much just a mini version of the Invisible One.
-No mere mortal can see Makaria. No oracle, no seer, not even demigods can see her. She is only visible after death, or in rare occasions after a near death experience. This is mostly by her own choice. She'd rather stay out of the living world's business as much as possible.
-Her sceptre is one of the legendary Golden Weapons crafted by the master blacksmith Hephaestus himself. The other weapons include: Zeus's Lightning bolt, Poseidon's Trident, Hades's Bident, Athena's Spear, Ares's Sword, Artemis's Moonlight Bow, Apollo's Sunlight Bow, and his own Hammer.
-Makaria's Afterlife Sceptre is a conduit for her power. She uses it to guide souls to the afterlife, to channel what little magic she does have, and to fight. Aside from being a nearly unbreakable weapon, she can use if for ranged attacks as well.
-Magic is a skill only certain individuals can utilize to the fullest. This includes the many gods and goddesses. Makaria is not a magically talented goddess, and therefor can only use very minimal magic abilities. That being said, being a goddess she can naturally do many things us humans would consider magic such as changing her appearance at will or teleportation.
-Makaria is the goddess of Blessed Death. Her job is to escort the poor souls of mortals who died in unfortunate circumstances. These include being murdered without a motive, after fighting disease, or losing their lives defending another, or attempting to. Soldiers who were sent to battle just to die for example would fit this description just as well as someone who had lost their fight to cancer or another disease. There are exceptions of course, and in the end it is up to her father, Hades to decide where the souls are ultimately sent.
-Her realm is the golden fields of Elysium. She knows every single person who resides there, and is one of the few who can freely travel in and out of the mysterious realm. Within the endless fields and islands of Elysium sits her own palace. A modest citadel adorned with silver and malachite. Anyone in Elysium is allowed access to her palace, and she'll always try to make time to chat if requested. Time doesn't exactly pass in Elysium like it does elsewhere.
-Because of her job, Makaria is often stressed out and takes little time just to relax and for herself. Her hair is a tangled mess thanks to hundreds of years of neglect. Now she can't comb it straight even if she was really trying. Other goddesses, especially those who are quite vain, pride themselves over their hairstyles. Makaria meanwhile can be a bit self conscious about it.
-Makaria is a benevolent goddess. Pure of heart, mind, and soul, she is one of the few goddesses who was never harmed a human nor wishes to. Despite this however, her business oriented personality often leads to her becoming impatient when her attention is forced away by distractions or other nonsense. When she does get angry? Well that almost never happens so nobody can say for sure.
-In terms of raw power, Makaria is actually one of the strongest gods or goddesses. Only Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hephaestus, and Athena are stronger. However there is one ability Makaria possesses that puts her above all but her father.
-Because the dead don't experience time passing, they could potentially exist for hundreds of years in a single day, or only experience a single day in a hundred years. Because Makaria was killed as a child before becoming a goddess, she can use this strange trait however she wants. If she wanted to skip an entire day, she could just blink and it would already be over. Conversely if she needed to gather a planet's worth of souls before anyone else died, she could do so all within the blink of an eye. Dead Time (as this ability is called) can be very, very useful for virtually everything. One second she could be standing beside you, the next she could have read every book in a library looking for the answer to a question you were just about to ask. That being said, she cannot predict the future nor reverse time. She can however exist outside time. So if time were to freeze for example, then she wouldn't be affected, even able to skip forward using Dead Time in the suspended state.
I will post her relationships with her siblings and the other gods and goddesses in a future blog. I'd love to hear your thoughts, though please try to keep comments positive. I'm not trying to be lore accurate, and this is just for fun.

Unfortunately I don't have a drawing of her I really like yet, so here's one just for reference.

Animal of the Week: The Rock Hyrax
Tumblr media
Despite looking like a rodent, Hyraxes are actually related to Elephants and strangely manatees. These furry little potatoes aren't all that big, reaching a length up to about 20 inches or so.
They're found in mostly sub-arid areas of Africa and some parts of the middle east. These animals typically live in rocky areas and sometimes even on extreme mountains.
Like most mammals in the Ungulate class, Hyraxes are omnivores, though they have been observed eating insects and grubs alike. They sport a pair of tusk-like incisors, further connecting them to the elephants.
Fun fact: 90+% of the time, Rock Hyraxes are at rest. This, coupled with their tendency to pile on top of each other in the sunlight has led to science hippies thinking this is a form of thermal regulation.

Pricky Situation: Rubrier and Thornolly
Tumblr media
Wildberries are a common occurrence in temperate regions of the world. Often they're covered in thorns.
Tumblr media
Rubrier: The Thornberry Pokemon
Grass type
Abilities: Rough Skin, Thick Fat (Snow Cloak)
Rubrier thrives in cold climates. Their thick leaves and petals are rough to the touch and are covered in tough thorns. Apparently boiling the fallen leaves can relieve nausea.
Tumblr media
Thornolly: The Hardy Pokemon
Grass type
Abilities: Rough Skin, Thick Fat (Snow Cloak)
Despite being covered in sharp thorns and choosing to live in extreme climates, Thornolly can be quite social. They often accompany isolated farmers to larger settlements, sometimes using their tough leaves as a shield against the harsh wind.
This region is full of extreme mountains and tends to get fairly cold. This will be a theme you might see later on

Poison Plants: Capsbane and Acontinate
Tumblr media
Yet another Grass type line. These two are two of the earliest ones I've made.
Tumblr media
Capsbane: the Toxic Flower Pokemon
Poison Grass type
Abilities: Poison Body, Early Bird (Own Tempo)
Capsbane is mostly active at night. Their bright purple petals are extremely toxic. Just brushing against them can be enough to hospitalize a fully grown human.
Tumblr media
Acontinate: the Toxic Flower Pokemon
Poison Grass type
Abilities: Poison Body, Insomnia (Own Tempo)
Its arms double as powerful cannons. Acontinate is the most toxic Pokemon and it appears to be aware of this fact. It spends most of its time keeping away from others, firing intense blasts of raw poison.
Someone inquired about commissions. I may work on setting them up soon 🤔. I'm not sure yet.
